  1. Thanks Lin, I hope you can help me to solve the problem Saluti Claudio
  2. Thanks Lin Your suggestion is what I already tried Now I tried again with a frame and a single jpeg image and I got the same result (see attachement) If I use a single object, without a frame, eg a jpeg image, it works properly. Do you think I shoul disinstall PTE and the reinstall it again? Saluti Claudio

  4. I am trying to move the “Center of Rotation” of a 3D object (eg a cube) both horizontally and/or vertically. Unfortunately I do not succeed. I get a displacement of the object, (instead of the center of rotation) and a frame where the center of rotation should be placed. The object rotates always on its center, regardless of the displacement of the rotation point. Does the function not work for 3D objects, or am I doing something wrong? Additional comment: a cube can be set up in many different ways. Is there a specific solution better than all the others? Thanks for help Saluti Claudio
  5. Thanks again MUR
  6. Thanks Bruno, I am well aware of such technology with Audacity, but my point was just to experiment PTE possibilities Saluti Claudio
  7. Thanks Mur, your suggestion is an interesting experiment, and I will test it. Thanks Barry, I fully understand your point, but I was just experimenting such possibility Saluti to all Claudio
  8. Thanks Lin. I was working on how to properly match a sldeshow with a new audioclip. Eg in the case I want just to change a music piece (with a different duration) without changing anything in the sequence (specially in the case in which there are many slides and each with a different duration Saluti and thanks Claudio
  9. In the slide options the command "scale key frames in objects (on time change)" allows to change the duration of a single slide, without any change in the ratio of the relevant objects dynamics. My question is: is it possible to change the entire duration of a slideshow (eg 10 % longer or shorter) automatically applying such change to each slide? Or should it be done manually on each slide? Thanks for help Claudio
  10. Excellent Lin, Congratulations Saluti Claudio
  11. Thanks Lin, as far as GIF creation with Photoshop, you say "properly created" This is my main point. I have no difficulty in creating any GIF, but I do not know if I do it properly. Sometime the GIF created does not appear on the image in PTE, so I do not know if I make some mistakes in the creation. I do not have alignement problems in such cases. The alignement problems arise for me when I create animated objects directly in in PTE. These are produced setting several figures in the same picture and then setting the parameters within the comand "Adjust image and borders". It is easy to set the parameters, but the main difficulty is to properly align manually each figure in the image used for the animation. As an example I mentioned the piano in the "Jazz" videoshow by Charles Pizolatto (Charlie in the French Forum) Thanks again Saluti Claudio
  12. Hallo, I have two questions relevant to animated images (eg GIF with PTE) 1. Producing GIF images with Photoshop CC I noted some problems using them with PTE images. Is it necessary to follow particular procedures or special parameters in the process of productions of GIFs? 2. With PTE is possible to produce animated images similar to GIF (see for example the videoshow "Jazz" by Charles Pizolatto). The difficulty I see on this case is to properly align all the images necessary. I normally do it manually; is there a way to produce it automatically, or is there a method to control the alignment? Thanks for Help Saluti Claudio
  13. Thanks Lin, As usual you are always very helpful . Unfortunately I was not aware of such very useful option and I always did it manually (...with lot of pain!!!) I tried it now and it works fine! Thanks again Saluti Claudio
  14. Hi, I noticed that if I have only one image with some key frames in a given slide and I change the slide duration, the key frame timing is reallocated accordingly. (e.g. if I have a slide duration of 6 seconds and key frames located at 2, 4 and 6 seconds, and I change the duration to 12 seconds, the key frames are reallocated at 4, 8 and 12 seconds respectively) The same situation seems not to apply if more than one image are in the same slide. In this case the slide time is changed, but the key frame timing remains unchanged. Is this normal, or is there a way to overcome it? Thanks for help Saluti Claudio
  15. Thanks Dave, I think I saw it on the French Forum and it was made up starting with pentagons Saluti Claudio
  16. No Dave, I was meaning the dodecahedron and not the icosahedron. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodecahedron Saluti Claudio
  17. Dave, I followed your suggestion and everything is now working OK By the way Dave, do you have a template for the dodecahedron? Thanks again Saluti Claudio
  18. Dave, I found unins000.exe relevant to PTE 8, so I will proceed according to your suggestion Thanks Saluti Claudio
  19. Thanks Dave I am afraid I do not have this program (is it a standard windows program?) Shall I disinstall version 8 via control panel and then reinstall it again? Thanks for help Saluti Claudio
  20. Thanks for the first answers. As a matter of fact my situation is even worse because Now I can not open any PTE file, even the new ones. They still seem to be stored correctly, but they are shown with white icons instaead of the little bird. May be that when I have disinstalled the version 7 some link with the .pte files has been cancelled. Is it suggestable to disinstall version 8 and the reinstall it again? Thank for any help Claudio
  21. HI, i have a problem with my old PTE shows. I have installed version 8 already for a long time and up to a week ago I kept also version 7 Now I have disinstalled version 7 and I can no more open the shows which were produced with this version. They do not appear with the known little bird, but as white icon. Is there a way to recover the situation or should I consider the old shows lost? Thanks for help Claudio
  22. Thanks Dave. I Just registered to the french Forum and I would recommend you to do so. The heritage of JDP is well established there! Saluti Claudio
  23. Dave , i think that with our last mails my topic is almost completely solved. I say almost, because I still have a minor problem. I open the "object and animation" window in order to set my objects and my transitions, and I set the frames, the masks and all what I need to complete my slide. Then I push "play" to check the result and everything runs OK. But then if I push play again, regardless if I change something or I let everything unchanged, it does not work properly. The images which should be masked are visible and the videomasks do not run correctly (they appear flickering). If I close the object and animation window and then I opened it again it works OK. (this situation is repetitive and not casual) In other words, to control the completed slide with my selfmade videomask, I can only run it once in the correct way. Nevertheless if I run "preview" it works OK. What I do not understand is why I can run only once the sequence I realized. Could it be my PC or video card or could PTE be responsible for that? Saluti Claudio
  24. Dave, having seen two masks by JPD I tried the following scheme. Suppose you want a circular shape transition from the center: you start with a new slide with a black background Put a very small white circle (close to radius zero) in the middle of the slide at key frame time 0 and then let it grow up to full screen at the key frame time corresponding to the duration of the transition you like to achieve (eg 3 seconds). Then produce an mp4 video of this single slide, which will be just looking as a white circle on black background gradually growing from zero up to full screen This video will then be used as a video mask (like layer masks in Photoshop) and the image associated with it will appear as a shape transition from the center. According to your last clarification this videomask can be offset to any position in a slide of your project, so you can apply transition to any object in any slide, regardless of the other objects in the same slide. The process of mask generation may be applied to different shapes in order to obtain other transitions (gate, pages, slides) and then you may combine several of these masks even in a single slide I hope I was clear enough, but if not please come back again Saluti Claudio
  25. Thanks Dave, I did not see that it was so simple! Saluti Claudio
