Hi PTE friends, I am having a problem, adding music, in the proper place.

I try to start the music at 54.4 seconds into the show, but it always starts at the beginning of the show.

I know it is something I am doing wrong, but cannot figure it out.

Your help would be appreciated.

Windows 7 64 bit, service pack 1

PTE 7.0.9

Screen capture included.

Best regards, Gayland

Hi Gayland,

It's a bit confusing, but the "start" time is how far into the song the sound begins. What you want is to leave the start time at zero and set the "offset" to the amount of play time before sound starts. So set the offset to 54.4, leave the duration alone and the "start" to zero and you should be fine.

Best regards,

Lin

Hi Lin, once again you have helped me out.

I just cannot grasp, the music portion of PTE.

I usually build my show, and use Audacity to edit my music, length, fade-in/out.

Thanks for your excellent help, Gayland.

Gayland,

On the other hand, you're never too old to learn!

Have another look at the music panel settings. They are easy and quick once you have realised what each setting does.

Regards,

wideangle.

(By the way, I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure.)

Hi Wideangle, I haven't given up yet, just regrouping my thoughts.

By the way, the indecisive mantra is funny.

Thanks for your thoughts, Gayland.
