Hi. Thanks for the positive feedback on the project. It used to be difficult to find music for projects. Now, at Suno, I create music for my own work. This has made it easier to find music for projects.

Thanks Igor, I can only do it once in PTE11 to a new Project, then it no longer works. Hopefully I can manage a work around as trying to complete my AV for Friday & still have a lot to do!! It started when I opened the Project in PTE12 to use the new Audio Objects in O&A. I added the Audio Object (Click4) to the Slide before the Master Video one. Not sure exactly what I did next as I was copying & pasting Objects from other Slides to get the effect I wanted behind the video. But it suddenly stopped working correctly. I saved it as a new file name & tried opening that in PTE11, but it still didn't work. I didn't get any warning message that I was opening in an older version of PTE which normally happens. The Audio Object still showed in the list of Objects but there was no sound in PTE11 (as expected) Jill

Hi Jill, Thanks for your message! I confirm the issue with Master/linked video objects. In V12 it is NOT possible to copy and paste a slide which contains a Master video / Linked video object. If I start a new project in V11, create a series of slides with Master/video objects, these slides are being copied/pasted correctly. Please wait when we fix this problem for V12. I'll try to do it quickly.

PTE12 beta 5 I am currently working on a project, (started in V11.0.20) that needs to be completed in the next couple of days. Within the Project I have 5 Slides, the first has a Video set as Master Video, the other 4 have the same video as Linked. The Video is muted and a separate soundtrack is added linked to the first Slide. It all went wrong last night & so far I can't get it to work. So I tried setting it up in a new Project. When I set this up in a new project it all works fine. But when I copy these 5 Slides to my main Project the Video is no longer Master & Linked. Trying to reset the Video on the first Slide no longer works, I click Master Video but it does nothing. I have tried Deleting the previously Linked Video from Slides 2 to 5, but I still cannot set the Video to Master on Slide 1. It is though something has broken and can't be reset. In fact I now cannot even Paste into V12, the Paste option is there on right click but nothing happens. I have tried the same thing in PTE11.0.20 & it doesn't work there. I have tried copying from PTE 11 to PTE 12 & it still won't work. Once the Master - Linked Video is broken it cannot be reset. I will have another try later today to see if I can repair my master Project, and try to get a clear set of steps. Any suggestions please - Igor I can send you Slides if needed. Jill

Yes I understand that IR is not everybody's favourite photography and appreciate that. Initially I used false colour IR but now most images are at a higher spectrum so mainly monochromatic. For me sometimes colour can be a distraction. I think in busy scenes like this it can help to focus more on the individual elements in the scene. Thanks for commenting. Mark

Hello Alex! Today I watched your autobiographical film again, and Gradsky's song here is just amazing, very touching, I couldn't help but relate it to my own life. Although I was far from your profession as a cinematographer, I had working specialties, but the atmosphere of that life and that country in which we lived, those relationships with each other and, most importantly, the people, now, by and large, of course, are no longer there... A friend did a workshop with Anne Zahalka a few years ago. Anne current has an exhibition at a local regional gallery. She is a highly successful Australian photographer and this month will have one of her images released as a postage stamp. If you are interested Google search her name. He asked if she wanted to come on one of our regular photographic wanders, and here is a short AV about the day last Wednesday.

A farm owned by the wife of a former Australian deputy prime minister, which I had the pleasure of photographing in infrared. AI was used for the voice-over then edited in PTE.

This is a 7-image stitched panorama at the Amsterdam Canal Cruise Terminal, waiting for the next Hop On Hop Off Cruise boat to arrive. Mark

Hi Igor, I just restored them to fix the problem, and they're back to normal now. The problem started when I switched from beta 4 to beta 6; I hadn't installed beta 5. They couldn't find the videos they had, and restoring the Transitions folder (which I have a backup of) solved the problem. However, I noticed that some transition videos had disappeared. If you'd like me to send you some transitions anyway, just let me know. Thanks and best regards, Javier

Hi, I just checked - created a new custom transition with a video mask in V11 and then opened it in V12 Beta 6 - the transition worked fine. Please let me know, did you test this particular transition in the previous Beta 5? If the transition was created earlier (in V11), check its work in V11. Also you can send us the all storage of custom transitions for checking. Send me a personal message with a download link. Usually custom transitations are located in a folder: Documents > PicturesToExe > Styles and Transitions > Transitions

Thanks Igor! And just FYI, I am awaiting delivery of my new Samsung Galaxy S26 phone. It can record in 8K video! I'm guessing that might be a real problem without a proxy video. Not that I plan to record extensively in 8K, but I'm sure others might.

When switching to beta 6, all transitions that had video give an error, either missing files or they cannot be found.

Hi Alex--even with "plain vanilla" image software like On1 or Photoshop I have never completely dived into masks but have a basic understanding of what they are. Even more mysterious (to me) are the masking techniques in PTEAV in terms of the mask, then the mask stencil, then the mask contents. I sort of understand what these things are but knowing how and when to use them is the missing link for me. An analogy with regular photo enhancing programs like Photoshop is that some people can look at the starting image and know precisely what needs to be done to achieve a certain result. That escapes me.
