Rather low volume of new sound effects [SOLVED]
Igor replied to CorVdK's topic in PTE AV Studio 12 Beta
Cor, try new Beta 4. We normalized volume for all sound files. Also we've added 2 new sounds. -
Try new Beta 4. We fixed this issue.

Beta 4 is available See the download links above. Sound library: normalized all audio files to -3 dB for consistent volume levels. Added new sounds. New slide style: Brush Strokes - Frosted Glass (Creative category). Fixed an issue with file replacement in Sound object - old file remained. Fixed an issue with incorrect video duration after trimming a video with changed speed. Updated Dutch translation.

Changing the speed of a video is broken in several ways [SOLVED]

Why is Video Optimiser still a separate tool?
Ghulya replied to Ghulya's topic in PTE Video Optimiser
Digartal: intelligenti pauca verba, eh. Not other words, thanks. Igor, but it would be much better to offer a bundle for those who want it. Having everything integrated in one place is about efficiency for the user, not just software management. It’s about not wasting time between separate apps while we work. Finis terrae Ghulya -
Ghuyla, Thanks for your suggestions. I'll consider integrating PTE Video Optimiser with PTE AV Studio (for quick access), but these apps will likely remain separate (at least for now).

Why is Video Optimiser still a separate tool?
digartal replied to Ghulya's topic in PTE Video Optimiser
Hello Ghuyla Igor did not reply with the tutorial; another forum member did? Did I get this wrong? "Let's be pragmatic" to quote you. You have raised your concerns, several times about this and other matters. The developer (Igor) has responded with what seems to be valid coding/development reasons. I am not aware of any other application that has a forum led by the developer. For me, if the application does not meet my requirements, I would be looking for alternative practical solution or maybe develop your own application that suits your needs? In this instance the application certainly suits my needs, I appreciate the feedback from the developer and other forum members, even though I may not always agree with it, I appreciate and respect the POV of others. Why is Video Optimiser still a separate tool?
Ghulya replied to Ghulya's topic in PTE Video Optimiser
Igor, I think there is a misunderstanding regarding the core of my proposal. I am not asking for a tutorial on the current interface (I have been using PTE for years!); I am discussing workflow architecture and development efficiency. Let’s be pragmatic. If Video Optimizer already handles complex tasks like two-pass stabilization and high-bitrate conversion perfectly, why reinvent the wheel inside PTE 12? Instead of spending years struggling with redundant code integration, you could solve the problem today with two simple moves: Logical Integration: Just as PTE allows us to define an external editor for images, add a "Send to Video Optimizer" command in the context menu. This would create a seamless bridge without bloating the PTE 12 core engine. Commercial Bundle: Offer PTE 12 and Video Optimizer as a single Pro Bundle. As users, we would much rather pay a fair premium for a unified, functional ecosystem than wait years for a built-in solution that we already have in a separate window. In 2026, a professional NLE is defined by its efficiency, not just its feature list. Let’s stop talking about how to use the current tools and start talking about how to integrate them properly. This approach saves your development time and our production time. It’s a win-win. As for the screenshots showing me basic settings or resolutions: I am perfectly aware of how the software looks and where the buttons are. The issue isn't knowing "where" to click, but the lack of a smart link between two tools that should already be working as one. Let's focus on the workflow logic rather than the interface basics. Thanks Ghulya -
Great demonstration Av's, well done. Appreciate you sharing. Thanks Mark

Why is Video Optimiser still a separate tool?
jienense replied to Ghulya's topic in PTE Video Optimiser
Just as you define the External graphics editor, you can choose the external video editor and audio editor, both in version 12 and 11. I have it configured with Vegas for video and Audition for audio; you can choose Video Optimiser if you want. -
Why is Video Optimiser still a separate tool?
Ghulya replied to Ghulya's topic in PTE Video Optimiser
Igor, I understand the technical constraints regarding real-time performance and the complexity of two-pass stabilization. However, if these tools must remain external, the solution should be logical and integrated. Since PTE already allows us to define an external editor for images, why not do the same for video? A simple "Edit in Video Optimiser" command in the context menu would bridge the gap. Furthermore, from a commercial standpoint, you should offer PTE 12 and Video Optimiser as a single bundle. Honestly, from our side as users, even a slight price increase for a "two-in-one" package would be much better than dealing with fragmented workflows and waiting years for technical fixes. It would solve the problem for you and the workflow issues for us in one move. If PTE 12 wants to be a professional NLE in 2026, we need a seamless experience, even if it’s powered by two separate engines under the hood.. Thanks Ghulya -

Anne O Green Gables - Local Theatre Company

Mark: Guess I am very poor at being Canadian. I've been to Prince Edward Island (where the story is set) several times. Been to Anne of Green Gables house but never attended the play at its home, nor any of the touring companies that have come to various cities where I've lived over the years. So thank you for attending the dress rehearsal on my behalf 🙄😊 Jim -

PTE Video Optimiser was designed as a standalone app, useful as a complement/addition to PTE AV Studio, and useful for a wide audience of users. Some features from PTE Video Optimiser already have been ported to PTE AV Studio 12. For example, video export in AV1 (WEBM) format and support for vertical video export. Video stabilization and noise reduction cannot be performed with highest quality in real time (they require significant CPU and GPU computations). Stabilization works in 2 passes for the best quality. These features can only be implemented for video export. An important feature of PTE AV Studio is that all our effects (except Motion Blur) work in real time and are available in a fullscreen preview, in the EXE shows, and in the video export. Stabilization is the most complex feature due to its 2 passes, which must be precisely timed. Integrating it into PTE AV Studio will be even more hard than in PTE Video Optimiser. Yes, I'd like to see stabilization/noise reduction functions in PTE AV Studio, but right now we're not ready to implement them. Sorry.

Why is Video Optimiser still a separate tool?
Ghulya replied to Ghulya's topic in PTE Video Optimiser
As an old customer, I am still waiting for a clear answer. With the V12 release, why is the Video Optimiser still a separate, external utility? In 2026, this fragmented workflow is unacceptable. You claim PTE is now a full NLE, but forcing us to jump between two programs for stabilization and noise reduction is a step backward. The competition is integrated; we are still stuck with standalone tools. As a long-time supporter, I expect more than silence. Is a native integration planned for the V12 builds, or are you ignoring your core users? Thanks Ghulya -
I'm glad you like it. Thanks for commenting. There's no other option; the original is like this.

Everything is fine, but the focus should not be visible with the aperture closed, focus first and then the shutter.

Interested to hear how people are using the Beta version. Last night I tried to make an AV to test some new features. The finished show had a watermark (which is fine) but meant the show I was going to share was not practical. Needless to say no beta testing as such. I was able to edit the AV using a copy of V11 that I have so the editing was not lost. Just trying to understand the test workflow of all the people using the new features? Thanks Mark
