Rather low volume of new sound effects [SOLVED]
Igor replied to CorVdK's topic in PTE AV Studio 12 Beta
Thanks for checking. I thought I had applied normalization to -3.0 dB for all sound files in Audacity. I'll check again on Monday. P.S. Just in case, you need to add sound objects to a slide again to check updated sound files. -
Do you mean new text animations in V12? Not yet. But work on the text objects is not finished for V12. Wait a little.

It's an interesting case. So the long delay with closing the Slide Options window by clicking the OK button occurs even if Documents > PicturesToExe > Styles and Transitions folder is empty? Does the Documents folder on your PC sync with any cloud services? OneDrive, DropBox, Google, iCloud? Try to change a location of "Styles and Transitions" folder in PTE AV Studio. Browse the main menu > Settings > Preferences. Templates tab. Choose another location on your local drive outside Documents or Desktop folders. For example, on drive D:\

Hallo, everyone. Is It some new effect about text in Pte 12? Tanks at advance for answer. Ale53

Yes, I restart Windows every day. This isn't new; it's been happening for a while. However, there's no problem with the styles window; it closes fine.

Rather low volume of new sound effects [SOLVED]
chanfi22 replied to CorVdK's topic in PTE AV Studio 12 Beta
Tested, it's better but still seems too weak. I just created a video with 2 sounds : Clicl1 and Page Turn 3 (level 100) and analyzed the result with AUDACITY : by applying the amplification filter, we see that we can increase by 6dB. -

Hi Igor, I saw your message because I had the browser open with the page, as I don't receive email notifications for new replies. With the Options window, there is no delay when closing it, but I've noticed that time is also lost. I mean, the window closes, but then the application remains blocked for a while. In the following video, you'll see that the window closes when I apply a transition, but then I click on the other slides, and it doesn't show the slide. It doesn't do anything for a while; it's like it's frozen. I've also tried opening the Options window, and I haven't applied any transitions, but it still leaves the program frozen for a moment. As for the PicturesToExe folder, I don't have anything there because it's newly installed and doesn't have any extra transitions installed. I used to have some from colleagues installed, but I thought some of them might be bad and causing problems, so I uninstalled them and reinstalled only the transitions that come with the program by default. Hi, Usually the OK button should instantly close the Slide Options window. Do you observe the same issue (delay) with the Project Options window when the Transtions tab is chosen? How many custom transitions you have added? Please do the following: 1. Close PTE AV Studio. 2. Find the following folder on your computer: Documents > PicturesToExe > Styles and Transitions 3. Create a a backup of this folder (Styles and Transitions) as a ZIP archive. 4. Check a file size of Transitions folder inside Styles and Transitions. Let me know its size. 5. Can you send us a copy of the Transitions folder in a ZIP? Send me a personal message with the download link throug the forum messenger.

Hello, I am testing version 11.0.20 Build 1, and I have noticed that when you are in the Transitions window, if you select a transition and click the OK button, the window takes a long time to close. On the other hand, the Styles window closes immediately after clicking the button. Why might this be? Thank you. Transitions Window.mp4

Could you please help me answer the question below: What is the best bitrate for creating an HD/4K video file, when using Bitrate mode in the custom video settings (fps 60p)? Greetings, Frans

Cor, try new Beta 4. We normalized volume for all sound files. Also we've added 2 new sounds. -
Try new Beta 4. We fixed this issue.

Changing the speed of a video is broken in several ways [SOLVED]
Igor replied to mhwarner's topic in PTE AV Studio 12 Beta
We fixed it in Beta 4. -
Beta 4 is available See the download links above. Sound library: normalized all audio files to -3 dB for consistent volume levels. Added new sounds. New slide style: Brush Strokes - Frosted Glass (Creative category). Fixed an issue with file replacement in Sound object - old file remained. Fixed an issue with incorrect video duration after trimming a video with changed speed. Updated Dutch translation.

I moved several recent posts regarding integration of PTE Video Optimiser and PTE AV Studio to a new topic: https://www.pteavstudio.com/forums/topic/52710-why-is-video-optimiser-still-a-separate-tool/ -
Why is Video Optimiser still a separate tool?
Ghulya replied to Ghulya's topic in PTE Video Optimiser
Digartal: intelligenti pauca verba, eh. Not other words, thanks. Igor, but it would be much better to offer a bundle for those who want it. Having everything integrated in one place is about efficiency for the user, not just software management. It’s about not wasting time between separate apps while we work. Finis terrae Ghulya -
Ghuyla, Thanks for your suggestions. I'll consider integrating PTE Video Optimiser with PTE AV Studio (for quick access), but these apps will likely remain separate (at least for now).

Why is Video Optimiser still a separate tool?
digartal replied to Ghulya's topic in PTE Video Optimiser
Hello Ghuyla Igor did not reply with the tutorial; another forum member did? Did I get this wrong? "Let's be pragmatic" to quote you. You have raised your concerns, several times about this and other matters. The developer (Igor) has responded with what seems to be valid coding/development reasons. I am not aware of any other application that has a forum led by the developer. For me, if the application does not meet my requirements, I would be looking for alternative practical solution or maybe develop your own application that suits your needs? In this instance the application certainly suits my needs, I appreciate the feedback from the developer and other forum members, even though I may not always agree with it, I appreciate and respect the POV of others. Why is Video Optimiser still a separate tool?
Ghulya replied to Ghulya's topic in PTE Video Optimiser
Igor, I think there is a misunderstanding regarding the core of my proposal. I am not asking for a tutorial on the current interface (I have been using PTE for years!); I am discussing workflow architecture and development efficiency. Let’s be pragmatic. If Video Optimizer already handles complex tasks like two-pass stabilization and high-bitrate conversion perfectly, why reinvent the wheel inside PTE 12? Instead of spending years struggling with redundant code integration, you could solve the problem today with two simple moves: Logical Integration: Just as PTE allows us to define an external editor for images, add a "Send to Video Optimizer" command in the context menu. This would create a seamless bridge without bloating the PTE 12 core engine. Commercial Bundle: Offer PTE 12 and Video Optimizer as a single Pro Bundle. As users, we would much rather pay a fair premium for a unified, functional ecosystem than wait years for a built-in solution that we already have in a separate window. In 2026, a professional NLE is defined by its efficiency, not just its feature list. Let’s stop talking about how to use the current tools and start talking about how to integrate them properly. This approach saves your development time and our production time. It’s a win-win. As for the screenshots showing me basic settings or resolutions: I am perfectly aware of how the software looks and where the buttons are. The issue isn't knowing "where" to click, but the lack of a smart link between two tools that should already be working as one. Let's focus on the workflow logic rather than the interface basics. Thanks Ghulya -
Great demonstration Av's, well done. Appreciate you sharing. Thanks Mark

Why is Video Optimiser still a separate tool?
jienense replied to Ghulya's topic in PTE Video Optimiser
Just as you define the External graphics editor, you can choose the external video editor and audio editor, both in version 12 and 11. I have it configured with Vegas for video and Audition for audio; you can choose Video Optimiser if you want. -
Why is Video Optimiser still a separate tool?
Ghulya replied to Ghulya's topic in PTE Video Optimiser
Igor, I understand the technical constraints regarding real-time performance and the complexity of two-pass stabilization. However, if these tools must remain external, the solution should be logical and integrated. Since PTE already allows us to define an external editor for images, why not do the same for video? A simple "Edit in Video Optimiser" command in the context menu would bridge the gap. Furthermore, from a commercial standpoint, you should offer PTE 12 and Video Optimiser as a single bundle. Honestly, from our side as users, even a slight price increase for a "two-in-one" package would be much better than dealing with fragmented workflows and waiting years for technical fixes. It would solve the problem for you and the workflow issues for us in one move. If PTE 12 wants to be a professional NLE in 2026, we need a seamless experience, even if it’s powered by two separate engines under the hood.. Thanks Ghulya -

Anne O Green Gables - Local Theatre Company

Mark: Guess I am very poor at being Canadian. I've been to Prince Edward Island (where the story is set) several times. Been to Anne of Green Gables house but never attended the play at its home, nor any of the touring companies that have come to various cities where I've lived over the years. So thank you for attending the dress rehearsal on my behalf 🙄😊 Jim
