I have just completed making a show for a friend on Windows XP. Have now played it on his laptop which has Windows Vista Home premium and the show stops at approximately 1 min for the end. I know other people have had this problem. Is there a cure for it.?

Igor

I have just bought a new desktop with Vista Home Premium and I cannot run your demo, it will not start, it starts eventually, but only by me contiually pressing the mouse. After a few seconds it is then all OK.

What version of PicturesToExe you have used to make this slideshow?

If v5.0 or newer, please use Windows Update to update drivers of video card and sound card.

Igor:

Are you hinting here that we should be recreating our old PTE shows in the latest version of windows ?

If not we risk losing our shows ?

I realize that going forward we risk losing the possibility of accessing many old files as computers change - data CDs might not be readable, (remember floppes ? :) ) file types no longer readable, etc etc, but I was hoping .exe file would be readable for a good period of time

Thanks

Mike,

PteShow demo was initially created in v5.0. Please try updated version I've re-created in v5.6:

http://www.wnsoft.com/test/PteShow_v560.zip (8 MB)

But it is really strange issue, because there should be no problem with Vista.

Jim,

Usually all old slideshows should work. But the most often problem that sometimes happens on some PCs - incorrect work of drivers of video card. Simple updating these drivers cure the problem.
