  1. Ok, maybe it will possible to make compatibility with VirtualPC for Mac. I'll let you know during several days.
  2. Yes, - all images, objects, logo, etc will support PNG file format.
  3. I mistakenly used "transparent BMP" name. More exactly say that already PTE v4.xx (for objects) and future v5.00 (for objects and main image of a slides) support semi-transparent with partial translucency 32-bit BMP images with alpha-channel. There is no explanation why Photoshop resets alpha-channel during saving to 32-bit BMP file. And saved BMP looks as without alpha-channel at all. (PixBuilder Studio correctly saves such images to BMP) However Photoshop can correctly saves semi-transparent with partial translucency images to PNG file. And future v5.00 will able to display these images as main image of slides or as objects.
  4. I mean 32-bit BMP in both cases. 32-bit BMP contains alpha-channel. Please wait a little bit, I'll show slide-show which illustrates the power of 32-bit BMP or 32-bit PNG images for slide-show purposes.
  5. Current PTE v4.xx support semi-transparent 32-bit BMP as objects. Photoshop can't save transparent BMP, I don't know why. You can do it in PixBuilder Studio, as Tom suggested. Next PicturesToExe v5.00 will support transparent BMP and transparent PNG, so you will able to use Photoshop to prepare such images.
  6. As I know, PicturesToExe's slide-shows work fine via VirtualPC on Mac. But main program of PicturesToExe doesn't work. VirtualPC for Mac not fully emulates PC. However please try newest v4.46 (maybe, maybe it will help). http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/apr/zip
  7. I just prepared small update - PicturesToExe v4.46 http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/apr.zip (1.5 MB) * Fixed possible problem when in fullscreen Preview there was no sound. * Fixed problem with no sound if start EXE file with slide-show from folder which contains Japanese or Arabic symbols in the name. * After "Save as" of a project, PicturesToExe will ask for path to EXE file on "Create" button click.
  8. slee I've sent you new letter. Please read it.
  9. Gilbert, I just tested MP3 file, you've sent me. PicturesToExe plays visually, but no sound. Same result in WinAmp player and in Microsoft Media Player 10. Also Media Player locked up at 2:38 position. All shows that it's an incorrectly encoded MP3 file. Personally I use terrific free MP3 encoder - Exact Audio Copy. It always works fine with perfect result. Maybe other members on the forum can give you more advices and help with questions of encoding of MP3.
  10. You can freely use this beta #3 - it contains minimal changes. Mainly I only use another filepath for placing of EXE with Preview.
  11. Ron, it seems that you downloaded previous file of beta #2, please download beta #3: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/pte446b3.zip
  12. I grateful to you Al, and to Ron for the help! By the way, this v4.46 asks new EXE file name on pressing "Create" button after "Save As" project. I'll prepare beta #4 with installer a little later.
  13. Al, Ron, I've prepared v4.46 beta #3 which should solve the problem with music in the Preview. http://www.wnsoft.com/test/pte446b3.zip Please confirm how it works now. p.s. just sound card doesn't work at all if we run EXE file of application (Preview) from Windows temp folder! It is an amazed bug in drivers, or in Windows. I can't exactly determine. Maybe even some kind of copyright protection.
  14. Al, Ron, It seems that when EXE file with Preview located in the Windows Temp folder PTE may not open sound output. If it possible, download this test. Press "Open1" button and let me know about result, close window, then press "Open2" button and do as above. And finally 'Open3' button. http://www.wnsoft.com/test/WaveOutTest.zip
  15. Thanks, Ron! I know now exactly that problem happens when we run EXE file from temp folder (for preview). It's very interesting. Try newest beta #2 and please let me know exact information you'll see in message boxes (during Preview): http://www.wnsoft.com/test/pte446b2.zip
  16. So my utility shows correct length for my 1.mp3 file and always "0 ms." for your MP3 files? 1) Please send me to int_support (replace to @) wnsoft.com one of your MP3 file. 2) Download and try this slide-show I've created: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/v445_Per_aspera_ad_astra.zip Will the music plays?
  17. Al, Ron, I finally found that we have two problems with sound in PTE: 1) Music in Preview doesn't play on your PC. We're very near to solve this problem. 2) And another problem on PC of Slee (Shik Lee) - PTE can't calculate length of music file. Please download this v4.46 beta #1: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/pte446b1.zip (Unpack it to a new folder and run apr.exe file) Please check up how music will play in Preview?
  18. Al, Please download special v4.45A: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/pte445A.zip and unpack to some new folder. Run apr.exe file and please make sure that you really started this special version - the caption of main window should shows v4.45A. Over file panel you'll find 3 buttons - "Preview 1", "Preview 2" and "Preview 3". Please open some project where you experienced problem with music during preview. 1) Press "Preview 1" button. Please let me know will you hear music now during preview? 2) Press "Preview 2" button. In this case will the music plays during preview? 3) Press "Preview 3" button. In this case will the music plays during preview?
  19. Shik, Please download this utility I've prepared: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/ShowLength.exe 1) Press "Open file and play" button. After it show duration of MP3 file, it should start playback. Close this utility. 2) Start again this utility. Press "Play" button. Music should plays. Please let me know about two results. 3) If you see "Lendth: 0 ms." message and music doesn't play, please try with my MP3 file. Download it here: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/1.mp3 (1.6 MB) (Right mouse click on the URL and choose "Save target as")
  20. Al, Thanks, I've received your file. It plays fine. 1) But how this preview.exe file plays on your PC being located in C:\ptemusic folder? 2) Another moment. You wrote that created EXE file plays OK. Please visit main menu | File | and choose "Create SlideShow and Run" (Ctrl+F9) it will create EXE file and run it immediately. Please let me know will music plays in this case. (I apologize that this beta-testing is so difficult!)
  21. Al, Ok, perfect! 1) Please download this utility http://www.wnsoft.com/test/CopyPreview.exe 2) Open again this project and run preview (I know, without music yet). 3) Press Alt+Tab and (don't close this preview) run my new utility, press "Copy" button there. 4) You'll find new Preview.exe file in C:\ptemusic folder. Please send it to my email address.
  22. Bill, If you don't have problems with music described in this topic, most likely that you didn't unpack ZIP archive into disc C:\ I specially prepared two variants of EXE files - created with embedded pictures/music and EXE without pictures (as in Preview).
  23. Download this ZIP archive http://www.wnsoft.com/test/ptemusic.zip (3.8 MB) and extract to disc C:\ (After extracting there should be: C:\ptemusic folder with files inside). 1) Please run 4 EXE files you'll find inside. And let me know about result. (For example, ptemusic1.exe - OK. ptemusic_synced.exe - NO MUSIC) 2) If all four EXE file work, open ptemusic.pte project file (you will find it in this folder) in PicturesToExe and try to run Preview. Thank you all for testing and help!
  24. Re-download it again, please. The file should be uploaded now.
