Hi, I understand your frustration. In V11, there was a bug - Hue slider in the Hue/Lightness/Saturation Color filters was changing the color of black and white (grayscale) images. This is not correct behavior. In a grayscale image, there is no color (no saturation), so the Hue slider should have no effect - this is standard behavior in Photoshop and other image editors, too. We fixed this bug in V12.0. Normally we're trying to keep backward compatibility between versions. But this case is different, because it was not a feature, it was a bug. Keeping it working would mean keeping the color filters broken. For this kind of effect, I recommend the "Coloration" color filter in PTE AV Studio. Unlike Hue/Saturation, so you can set it to any color you like. This will give you full control and a predictable result. Alternative option: it may be easier to prepare those color variations in Photoshop first, then bring these images into PTE AV Studio.

Hi SoCu, I understand what you try to do - make a bigger copy of the text object under the normal text, to look like an outline effect. The problem is - when you make the font size bigger, the letters don't grow the same on all sides. Bigger letters shift a bit and cover the small text more on one side, less on other side. This is why outline look normally in some places and not OK in other places. Jill's idea is the right way for this - use Ring Shadow to simulate outline effect. P.S. Your pictures are on Imgur web service, and Jill can not see them, because of regional limitations of Imgur. Better to upload pictures as attachment to your post here on forum, not link to outside service.

Hi, Today the forum and PTE online help site were slow or hard to reach. I'm sorry for this problem! The cause: heavy traffic from AI bots/crawlers. More than 2 millions visits last 24 hours. This time bots were running on Google Cloud public servers, which made it tricky to block them without also blocking real Google services. I found a fix and the sites should now work normally. Added support for a .pte project file larger than 128 MB (now up to 512 MB) when using complex animation with thousands of objects. Typical project files are usually under 1 MB. Optimizing the animation is still recommended, as a very large project file may run slowly. Fixed an issue where some panoramic HEIC images failed to load. About window shows: 12.0.3 Build 1.

I couldn't reproduce it in V11. Only in V12. I modified one original image in a graphical editor. V11 loads unpacked images. V12 loaded modified original image.

Hi, We can potentially preserve the original folders structure in a ZIP archive. However, there are 2 pitfalls: 1. If some project files are located on different drives, the folder structure in the ZIP archive will be complicated, because the full path to the file from the drive root will need to be added. This mode even appeared by default in one of Beta versions 12.0 by a mistake. 2. PTE will not be able to open this project (as is); the project will need to be modified specifically for this case - the code hasn't been written yet. Alternative solution: if the project files are well organized into a group of folders with a common root near the project file, it's probably even easier to simply use WinZIP (7-zip), as suggested above, for to have a complete control over project backups?

Hi, Try to choose a different folder for exporting MP4 videos. A folder outside of OneDrive. Your system folders (Desktop, Documents, Videos) are all located in OneDrive cloud storage. Create a new folder on your local C or D drive, for example, D:\PTE-Shows\ If the MP4 export will be successful, create a new simple test project of 3-5 images and try exporting again to the OneDrive folder where exporting failed previously. We need to check whether this issue is related to a certain project or a specific folder during video export. Also V12 should handle large files (3GB) without any problems.

I'm glad HEIC images are now displaying correctly. You can use this version, we'll release it to all users soon.

Hi Rosemary, Run PTE 11 and 12 one at a time and check the Preferences window (as Dave showed on the screenshots above). Do you have the same path to folder for custom slide styles and transitions in both versions? By default, custom styles and transitions are located in Documents > PicturesToExe > Styles and Transitions You can also create a backup of "Styles and Transitions" folder, just in case.

Hi, Please send me samples of these HEIC images. We'll check the code of the program. Since V12 we've used a new HEIC image loader, which works 2x faster on Mac than in V11. We've also added support for the Windows version.

I can't reproduce this issue yet. I chcked it with a one video object, changing the speed to 50%, and also changing the speed keyframes. Send me a test project. Try to simplify the project as much as possible so that the issue clearly visible. Ideally, it would be a project with 1 slide and 1 video file. Of course, if it possible. Probably you've added video speed keyframes to the timeline below? Check to see if there's at least 1 blue dot (keyframe) in the timeline? Click the "Clear Keyframes" button (in this window - Trim and Adjust speed) to remove all keyframes, making the simple speed box available for editing again. P.S. I combined both topics into one.
