Hi Ken, Firstly, click the "Add Mask" icon on the top toolbar. 2. Choose "Add Blend Mask" and choose one of the blend modes (Screen, Overlay, etc). 3. You'll see a Mask container with two objects: Mask Stencil and Mask Content. 4. Put one image into the Mask Stencil, and another image into the Mask Content: Simply drag'n'drop an Image object into the Mask Stencil/Content with the mouse cursor in the Tree of objects. Or select Mask Stencil and click the Add Image button - the image will be inserted into the Mask Stencil. You can change blending mode later in the Properties tab for the Mask Container.

One more idea for your style. It's possible to create a slide style with a text object which can be changed when user apply your style. You need to select a Text object, call the popup menu and choose "Text comment". Then create a slide style. Yes, the choice of fonts and decoration will be limited.

Hi, I confirm the issue with this TIFF image. We'l check the code tomorrow. Thanks. However, I recommend you optimize this TIFF file. Because this file is 50 MB for 2213 x 1246 image! After converting to PNG (lossless compression) you get only 1.2 MB. A good optimization for the slide style.

Hi, This feature (timeline scaling) is already on our TODO list, and I agree that it would be very useful. Let me say a few thoughts. We have many ideas for improving the product (PTE), so we constantly have to choose what to build now and what to implement later. Some ideas or features might look simple but are actually very difficult to implement, because they are deeply integrated into complex old code. Sometimes we wait to rewrite a whole large section of code so we can add several new features at the same time. We have a small team. For example, one person writes the code for slide styles, another work on the Objects and animation editor, and a third works on effects and custom transitions. There is also important ongoing work - refactoring (restructuring) old code - that is not immediately visible to users but is very impotant to ensure the legacy code doesn't break down under the weight of new features and effects. Then there is the matter of cross-platform support (PC and Mac). Sometimes we spend a long time working on a new feature or effect and hit a "dead end" - it doesn't work as intended, so we have to delay it, and time is lost. Yes, we might also make mistakes when prioritizing which features to include in a new version. We're trying to make the program better with every release, but we aren't perfect, and we ask you excuse us, if we don't always meet your expectations! Hi, I understand your frustration. In V11, there was a bug - Hue slider in the Hue/Lightness/Saturation Color filters was changing the color of black and white (grayscale) images. This is not correct behavior. In a grayscale image, there is no color (no saturation), so the Hue slider should have no effect - this is standard behavior in Photoshop and other image editors, too. We fixed this bug in V12.0. Normally we're trying to keep backward compatibility between versions. But this case is different, because it was not a feature, it was a bug. Keeping it working would mean keeping the color filters broken. For this kind of effect, I recommend the "Coloration" color filter in PTE AV Studio. Unlike Hue/Saturation, so you can set it to any color you like. This will give you full control and a predictable result. Alternative option: it may be easier to prepare those color variations in Photoshop first, then bring these images into PTE AV Studio.

Hi SoCu, I understand what you try to do - make a bigger copy of the text object under the normal text, to look like an outline effect. The problem is - when you make the font size bigger, the letters don't grow the same on all sides. Bigger letters shift a bit and cover the small text more on one side, less on other side. This is why outline look normally in some places and not OK in other places. Jill's idea is the right way for this - use Ring Shadow to simulate outline effect. P.S. Your pictures are on Imgur web service, and Jill can not see them, because of regional limitations of Imgur. Better to upload pictures as attachment to your post here on forum, not link to outside service.

I couldn't reproduce it in V11. Only in V12. I modified one original image in a graphical editor. V11 loads unpacked images. V12 loaded modified original image.

Hi, We can potentially preserve the original folders structure in a ZIP archive. However, there are 2 pitfalls: 1. If some project files are located on different drives, the folder structure in the ZIP archive will be complicated, because the full path to the file from the drive root will need to be added. This mode even appeared by default in one of Beta versions 12.0 by a mistake. 2. PTE will not be able to open this project (as is); the project will need to be modified specifically for this case - the code hasn't been written yet. Alternative solution: if the project files are well organized into a group of folders with a common root near the project file, it's probably even easier to simply use WinZIP (7-zip), as suggested above, for to have a complete control over project backups?

Hi, Try to choose a different folder for exporting MP4 videos. A folder outside of OneDrive. Your system folders (Desktop, Documents, Videos) are all located in OneDrive cloud storage. Create a new folder on your local C or D drive, for example, D:\PTE-Shows\ If the MP4 export will be successful, create a new simple test project of 3-5 images and try exporting again to the OneDrive folder where exporting failed previously. We need to check whether this issue is related to a certain project or a specific folder during video export. Also V12 should handle large files (3GB) without any problems.
