  1. Hi, I apologize for this problem! Glad that you found the solution. You've gave me an idea why it might happen (zero size of the main window after some fault). We'll learn the code to provide a correct start of PTE in such cases. P.S. Earlier we suggested the following solution for Mac users to reset a configuration of PTE AV Studio:
  2. Hi Mike, Please read my message in this thread. Auto Update on Mac requires version 11.0.9 or newer. If you have version 11.0.8 or earlier, you need to download the latest version manually from WnSoft website and replace the old version in Applications.
  3. Hi, I checked example which you've sent me. Modifiers are not intended for this task. You need to use keyframes to control opacity (as in your example project). I would prefer a solution with 4-5 slides. One image per slide. No problem to create a slide style for this group of 4-5 slides and common background image through all slides in this group.
  4. I also added a smart compression for a backup in ZIP. Almost all project files are stored in a compressed formats (JPEG, MP3, MP4, etc). No need to compress these files using ZIP algorithms. ZIP format allows to set individual compression level for each file. After this optimization, ZIP archives in PTE are being created in 3-5 times faster than earlier. The resulting file size is almost same, a difference is less than 1%.
  5. Yes, exactly, it works this way in future PTE 12. I understand your point.
  6. Hi, Sorry, I'm not sure that I rightly understood your thoughts and idea. Automatic renaming of duplicating files (for a project backup/template) will use only free (not used) file names in this project.
  7. Hi Mary, PTE 12 will backup into a ZIP a project with duplicating files. The project file (in the ZIP) will be modified automatically to links the renamed duplicating files. So after unpacking this ZIP archive a copy of this project will be opened correctly without any warnings.
  8. Cor, A created backup in a ZIP archive has original dates/times of included files (images, videos, audio), except of .pte project file, because it's being updated.
  9. Hi, Thanks for your responses! We'll do the same for project templates with duplicates (same file names). Jill, thanks for reminding. Jill, probably you mean a special new command to check for duplicates a current project? Probably it would better to think about more complex tool which checks a project for duplicates and used fonts. Maybe something else. Bert, I think it's another issue. Any version of PTE cannot create ZIP archives larger than 2 GB. We plan to vastly rework ZIP packing code to be able create archives larger than 2 GB. I hope that it will be added for V11 in February-March. Not for V10, sorry. Original files can be located in a complex hierarchy of folders and different drives. It would be hard (or impossible) to repeat it in a ZIP archive.

Hi, Excuse me for the late response! We have kept Video Builder in version 11.0 only for compatibility reasons for users who still prefer to burn DVD video discs. On our website we do not advertise the ability to burn DVDs starting from version 10.0. Unfortunately, DVD creation does not always work reliably, and we have no plans to develop this module. Alternative solution - complete exclusion of Video Builder from future version of PTE AV Studio.
  11. Hi, In all versions Create backup in a ZIP command cannot create a ZIP archive if a project contains two or more files (images/video/audio) with the same name in different folders. For example, Picture.jpg in Folder1 and in Folder2 which are used in a project. Note. Multiple files with the same name may be duplicates or unique files (for example, unique Background.jpg files in different folders). In future version 12.0 we automatically rename the second file to Picture_2.jpg (Picture_3.jpg, etc) to resolve this situation and allow to create a ZIP archive for any project. Project file in a ZIP also is being modified to use a new file name(s). Of course, the original project and its files remain not modified. What you think?
  12. We need more time to fix it. Sorry for the delay.
  13. Hi, You need to download a free update 10.5.11 from this page (the 2nd link for Mac): https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/old-versions/ If the problem still occurs, let us know your Mac model name (Intel CPU or Apple silicon) and version of macOS.
  14. We found one issue with creating ZIP archives larger than 2 GB. We plan to fix it soon.
  15. Hello, Sorry, I'm not sure that I rightly understood your question. We see that you purchased the upgrade from version 10.5 Pro to version 11.0 Pro. Thanks for the payment! I just checked a license key which we've sent you, it's correct key for v11.0 Pro. I highly recommend to copy and paste the key using Clipboard (Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V) to avoid typos between "1" and "I", or "0" and "O". Also make sure that you enter the key in the new V11, not in V10.5. Check the About window of PTE AV Studio. 1. Please download and install version 11.0 from WnSoft website: https://www.wnsoft.com/fr/pte-av-studio/download/ It's one installation file for the Standard and Pro versions. 2. When you run PTE AV Studio 11, enter this license key. Once the key is accepted PTE AV Studio 11 will work as the Pro version with all functions and features.
  16. Thanks, OK, we'll check tomorrow the code of PTE AV Studio.
  17. Hi, Let me know - what software you used to unpack the large ZIP archive? Can you try to use a free 7zip utility to unpack that ZIP archive, as Daniel recommended you above. I think that PTE AV Studio should be able create a large backup in a ZIP. ZIP files larger than 4GB (3.6GB) use a special ZIP64 file format. Some old ZIP utilities cannot unpack correctly such large ZIP archives.
  18. Hi Teresa, You need to manually download the latest update 11.0.11 from WnSoft website: https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/download/ and install the new version by replacing the old version 11.0.8 in Applications on your Mac. It will solve the problem with Japanese fonts in the interface of PTE AV Studio. P.S. In a recent announcement on the forum, we wrote that Auto Update function works if you use at least version 11.0.9 released in October: https://www.pteavstudio.com/forums/topic/34835-pte-av-studio-11011/?do=findComment&comment=178455 Once you manually update to v11.0.11, the Auto Update feature will work correctly again for future updates.
  19. Thank you very much for your responses and wishes!
  20. Dear friends, Happy New Year to you and your families! Happiness, health, many creative ideas. Peace for all people. Igor,
  21. Glad that this problem is solved now. Jill, thanks for your quick and helpful answer!
  22. Hi, You can attach your project file where this issue occurs. Just one .pte file. We'll check it.
  23. Hi, Glad that you solved the problem! Let me know - did you use Auto Update function from PTE, or downloaded manually the new installation file, when that issue occured? I just checked again, both options deliver the latest correct version 11.0.1 Build 1 which should not cause that problem with text.
  24. Hi, Check the About window in PTE AV Studio. The most likely you have an old version 11.0.9 or earlier. You need to manually download and install V11.0.11 from WnSoft website: https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/download/ This issue with Japanese text in the interface under macOS 14 Sonoma was solved 2 months ago in V11.0.10.
  25. Hi, I wish you and your families a Merry Christmas! Joy and Happiness for all people, Igor,
