  1. Thank you to those of you who replied and/or voted (even if there are more than 400 views and only 16 votes :D )

Honestly, I can't see a reason to keep this option as it is.

I made a lot a projects, sometimes very complex, and I think I only kept the sections glued less than 1% of the time.

I would be interested to know why the person who voted NO would like to keep this option as it is now as the default. :)

Peter, for the same reason, I don't see the the reason to introduce this option.

Do you have a lot of example of projects where you kept the sections glued ?

    Greg, I totally agree.

Almost the same suggestion was posted here a long time ago : http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7613

  2. I really like your work ! The effect on the pics give a very special atmosphere.

I don't know if it's on purpose but there is something very dark and dramatic with this presentation, almost apocalyptic.

    But I like it.

I could easily imagine a 16/9 screen ratio for your A/V, it would increase the movie effect.

I hope to watch an other version reworked (exe available ?).

Anyway, congratulations and thank you for sharing. :)

  3. A lot of topics were started because users have difficulties to use the non linear speed animation.

It leads new users to several misunderstandings for a long time.

    Last example here : http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12818

Or people complain because you have to make a lot clicks if you have a lot of objects/keypoints (and I agree).

    Last example here : http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12841

I already started a topic in the "Ideas and Suggestions" forum a year and a half ago :

    http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10431

But I would like to address the subject again.

I do not understand why the option is left to "glue" from version to version.

Is it a technical problem ? Or can we hope a change for the release of the next version ?

Igor, if you read this topic, please post a reply. :)

  4. Projected image size is onto a 1800mm x 1800mm screen. There is no discernable loss in quality when the same images are projected using other software, eg indows Picture & Fax Viewer or ProShow Gold

The last time I used Proshow Gold (about two years ago), there was a very important loss of quality.

Unless Photodex made a big improvement with this software ?

  5. I really enjoyed your slideshow, this is a true artistic creation.

    There are research and work.

The different effects are really about the subject. There is a perfect coherence between the effects and what you see.

About the story, I really had the feeling to travel through space and time.

The sound effects and the music match perfectly the purpose.

Even if it lasts almost 20 minutes, it's not boring at all.

In my opinion, it has the quality of a professional documentary.

Congratulations and thank you for sharing. :)

  6. Hello,

You can use Ant Renamer (FREE).

This program can rename large amounts of files and folders in few clicks. It only modifies files/folders names:

    - Deleting several characters

    - Name creation with file's last modified date and time

    - Random names creation

    - Case change (uppercase, lowercase, first letter of each word in uppercase, ...)

    - Take names from a list/file

    - Use of EXIF info

    - Regular expressions

  7. But why do you call it UNsharp mask ?

The filter in photoshop is called sharpen. Shouldn't it be called sharpen mask in PTE ?

Because of its name, I thought that this mask would add a blur effect to the image.

I found the answer to my own question : :D

An "unsharp mask" is actually used to sharpen an image, contrary to what its name might lead you to believe.

  8. Wow, very impressive, it works perfectly !!

But why do you call it UNsharp mask ?

The filter in photoshop is called sharpen. Shouldn't it be called sharpen mask in PTE ?

Because of its name, I thought that this mask would add a blur effect to the image.

And that's the opposite. But may be this misunderstanding is because I am not fluent in english...

Oh, and an other question : does this mask require a lot of power for the graphic card as the other masks (containers) do ?

  9. Please download the demo (exe file) for a much better output quality.

  10. I have only just begun analyzing your solution.

My first question is why the use of frames vs. rectangles?

When I finish this study of Page Flipping, I plan to submit an album of Rainbows Photos taken last night in El Paso.

Rain in El Paso is somwhat a rairty and Rainbow's such as we had last evening are almost never seen.

    Hi George,

    I'm glad I could help.

About the use of frames : actually, a frame is a rectangle with opacity set to 0.

A frame is a virtual object because the end-user can not see it.

In the project, I used frames because the purpose of a frame is to make a group of different objects (the "children") which will inherit of the keypoints of the "father" object. But I don't need this father object to be visible.

But you can use rectangles and then set the opacity to 0, it's exactly the same : it will behave exactly the same.

I am waiting for your Rainbows Photos Album now... :)

  11. Here is the result of my lurking...

George, actually, you are very close to a good result.

The main problem is with your pages flipping.

For the flipping page, you have to modify the center of this rotating object. It has to be -100,0 (instead of 0,0 in your project).

I reworked your project a little bit to make it more simple (I hope!) and in order for you to study it and finish it (I only made the animation of the 4 first pages).

    I hope it helps... :)
