DOM I AM JUST REPORTIN what went on with other people reported on their computors when they tried to make/run menu shows -- this was an ongoing problem for years - quite likely before you came on the scene I guess you missed Ian's reply on the subject -- in order run a competition he has to have the option available What are the specifications of those computers ? -- how would i know the specs of computers from all over the world that compete in competitons I check shows for their operation by request and report back to the author directly i have not run the menu show of i mentioned for years so i cant remember ken

Dom guess i forgot about that one because it never used to work for me and i have to use a third party conversion -- Hawk and i have been playing with divx for quite a few years -- he had some success, but i was not so lucky still wont make it using the divx codec - hangs up after 39 secs using 5.7 b1 ken

I would like to see the option to make a divx file you have made provisions to do most other extension's this would make the program a complete package ken

Peter I think you hit the nail on the head -- imho the anti virus is working in the background and is evaluating all one's actions and -- when we download an exe in a zip and unpack the zip -- the exe is a plain white square -- after a couple seconds it turns into the pte icon (unless it is a custom icon) also working in the background is a process that documents all these items then registers them -- i cant think of the specific name of the process - it is some kind of indexing - i believe i read one time it can be turned off i have noticed mine doing it and really never gave it much thought because one never knows for sure what all an update does - i thought positively "they have added some more security" Maybe NoBeefstu will drop in and give an answer ken
