The Dom, Very cool I like it and would be very handy to have a Template. I have tried to Log into your site but it Tell me my password is incorect, i know this not to be true as I have kept a record of since first registering with your site and I use my Forum Name and password and it still works for that. any help would be appreciated. Felix, I have been useing VB5 for slideshows and all have been fairly long shows and have had no problems today i did a short slideshow of only 1 minute 43 seconds on my forst attempt to create with VB5 i waited so long and gave up and canceled but unlike you Mine did not play, while haveing tea i remembered something stated by Ken or Al that it takes longer for disc to close after Burning on short shows, so gave it a try and left it to run it took just over 10 minutes for the Disc to just run out on such a small show, but it did work. So well worth waiting it will happen. All the best Ray

Welcome Mario, If you dont mind paying the $20 then go for the Deluxe, I used Nero before Vidio Builder and Nero is not a patch on deluxe which is faster, you have menus & the music sound is fantastic. All the best Ray

Hi, Brian & Nobeefstu, Thanks Guys you got it right I have 512MB Ram but vidio card at 128 must be the problem, Test on on Sons computer same Ram but 256MB card, worked perfect now i know what I need to do. Thanks all for your great help, this is a great Forum. Ray

Hi Alan, I use 1024x768 Images image slider to 6 MP3 music The exe file is 51.4mb. my Vidiocard is Radion X300 SE, memory 128MB have directx 9.0c. The slideshow I am testing is useing The Doms Photo Album with 32 Pictures. Thanks for trying Alan at least a Vidio buned with DVD Builder works fantastic and the music is just great. Hi all, Can anyone please help, When saveing slideshow to exe then burning to disc,when running from disc music jumps and get lots of crackles. When played from computer exe is fine also when copied from Disc to computer also fine, Slideshow burnt from DVD Builder show and music fantastic, so problem only when exe played from CD, have tried a few different brands and all have same problem. Hi Fedorov, I have an old V4 slideshows with sound effects this also works in V5 and can also had music file in the same place, If you select the file were you wish the music or sound effect to start, right above the O & A Tab there is a music line you go there to select your music and in the Project Options Box there is right at the bottom "Dont interupt sond" Tick this box, you must have your music the right length in time to cover the amount of slides you wish music to run for. Hope this helps and also hope you can understand it. Ray

Hi Jean, I am not to sure about it as it only happened to me once and I cant remember what i did, you must not have your pte v8u file open when you do this just go into V11 File. open and choose your V8 file if the message comes up click ok and see if it works then as far as I can remember mine did, but have never had that happen again and have even opened V4 shows into V11. Hi Ron, I have just done this with an Early V4 Version Menu containing 8 slideshows here is what I did. First made a copy of V4 menu folder renamed new folder to Menu V5. Opened the V4 pte file from this new folder in PTE . Go to SAVE AS and save as same name.pte as old version. will ask if to over write clik yes. then go to. CREATE SLIDESHOW AS and save EXE file and save as same name.exe as in old version will again ask to overwrite click yes. Now in PTE with MenuPage open Go to O&A screen > Customize Slide > Main > Run External Application and link to your EXE file. Mine worked perfect Ron and I also still have my old V4 Menu just in case, one thing I did have to do in V5 was rename the Buttons to my slide show names and move the button around as for example my first slideshow appered at first to be useing Button 5 I just renamed in position that they came in then moved them to my positions later. Hi Jean, All I have done is to open the PTE file into V5 v11, even V4.8 PTE files and all have worked fine, but you cant take a PTE file backwards to V4 once saved in V5 but not sure about backwards to earlier V5. Hope this helps a little. Ray

Hi Peter, I have just had same effect on a menu Slide, I only have a Title for show in Pan and Zoom. Exe runs perfect on its own but exactly same problems as you running from Menu. Ray
