I'm totally against re-naming images except where the new name contains the original name with added suffix/prefix. It occurred to me that if Igor could include a re-naming procedure within the "create template" operation which added a three figure prefix to the image name in the order used in the project, that would be a big step forward. i.e. first image dsc_1234 would become 001_dsc_1234 etc. Just a thought, DG Edited: Just thought of a snag. How to deal with objects/images which are not main images?

Xaver, Will it recognize the jumbled order in which the slides have been used in a PTE project? The PTE folder will contain images in NUMERICAL order and not in the order in which they have been used. DG

I think that the answer is simple Ken. If Igor or Alena confirms or denies that the e-mails were sent we'll know if they were genuine (i.e. mistakes) or they were mallicious. DG

Igor, Please ask Alena to check if she sent the reg key to me by mistake? It was an ATTACHMENT (reg.txt) - Igor has said recently that they were not going to use attachments any more. It also came from a GMAIL account. Size of file 314B. My reasons for being cautious - I DID NOT REQUEST IT and WNSOFT DO NOT USE ATTACHMENTS for reg keys. DG

I recieved an e-mail from a Russian source today (name in Russian script). The sender appears on the face of it to be ALENA(?). The subject appeared to be reg key. There was a file attached. Since I haven't requested a reg key I was immediately cautious and I have deleted without opening. Anyone else see this? DG

Vilara's request is a good idea. I normally copy the slide and eliminate all but the last keyframes to simulate the end of the previous slide. However, on a complicated slide this could be difficult and time consuming to achieve. I wonder if it would be possible to REVERSE all keyframes so that what was at the beginning would then be at the end etc. It would then be easy to delete all keyframes NOT at the beginning of the slide. Probably a stupid idea! DG

Look into using TEMPLATES. It won't put the slides in order but will create a seperate folder containing everything needed for the show. It might be what you are looking for? DG

I can understand your concern, but could you please tell me/us why you HAD to download a new version (and get a new registration key) for W7/64? If you have been a user since 2004, your old reg key will still work and is transferrable to a new machine. DG

OK guys, my recollection was that you could open two shows and copy and paste between the shows. I may have been wrong. It is possible, as you say, to open a show and copy slide(s) and then open another show using File Open or File New and paste. However, it is also possible to copy the contents of a slides O&A panel when the two shows/projects are open AT THE SAME TIME. My feeling is that it was once possible to copy and paste slides between two shows open at the same time time. Since I do this very infrequently I can't remember when things changed (if they did). If someone asked me how to do this I would answer that with two shows open during the whole process copying and pasting SLIDES was the way to do it. With 6.5.x it now appears that the only way to do it is to copy the contents of a slide's O&A panel into the recipients show's O&A panel. Trying to copy SLIDES results in the PASTE command being greyed out in the recipient show. Have I missed something or is my memory wrong.......or is it a bug? DG

Andrew, I tried the Kodachrome show and it played all the way through without glitches. Transitions and animations were, however, not smooth and I felt that there was more animation than necessary for the super images you were presenting. The downloaded PTE show is smooth as silk and it beats me why anyone would want to watch the flash show when the PTE EXE is available. Minor point - the music was entirely inappropriate IMHO. Once again - super images. If you regard the flash show as a trailer for the main event (the PTE show) then it's OK. DG

Apply your first mask as usual. Then right click on either the Mask Container, the Image or the Mask and choose ADD / Mask. In this way it is possible to add a Mask within a mask. DG

Go to a page which has such a video embedded and then, in the Menu, click on VIEW / PAGE SOURCE. That will display the HTML code and give you a clue how to do it? DG

OK, The JPEG shows the O&A Objects pane for the way I did it. The Mask PNG is made in PS (not in PTE). The Stroke PNG is made INSIDE the inverted mask (again in PS). The shadow was made from from the Mask PNG and added to the Frame and sent to the back. Animating the Frame moves everything attached to it in the same direction. This way is probably not very far removed from the way that you originally did it except that a Mask has been used? Now stand by for various different (better) ways of doing it. DG

At what point is "nothing happening"? Are you able to "Browse" to the PNG file. You need to tick the box in front of "Show Copyright Logo". You will not see the PNG line in O&A - it only appears in preview or in the EXE. DG
