  1. OBJECTS and ANIMATIONS. DG
  2. In O&A click on properties and you'll see "picture" with a box show where PTE is looking for the picture. Create a folder with exactly the same file structure and put the image(s) in that folder. That way PTE will find the image(s) and you won't see a blue error message. That's one way - there might be others. Next time you "flatten" your laptop create some Templates beforehand? There's more info on that on the forum. DG
  3. Easy enough to prove. Make a show at 3840x2160 and add a full res jpg SOC in cover slide mode. The "overlap" is at the top and bottom but you still get black lines T&B when shown on a 16x10 1920x1200. Fullscreen and Windowed Mode give same result. The AR of the show is "best fitted" to the AR of the monitor it is being shown on. DG
  4. By converting it to Flash or similar. Go to Ron West's web site - he does some tutes on this. DG
  5. I will need to think about this. I thought that the "Cover Slide" refered to the relationship between the image and its parent AR? That show's AR would then be "best fit" to the monitor on which it is shown and if not a perfect match black lines will be the result. DG
  6. Barry, I'm intrigued. How is it done? DG
  7. I will be in the same boat when, at some stage, I will need to upgrade to a new desktop with W7 etc. I have always had nVidia with 512Mb memory and would be loath to have to make the change. Watching with interest. DG
  8. Downloaded and installed OK. Thanks Igor. DG
  9. What the OP is asking is impossible because not all computer monitors are the same resolution and (more importantly) aspect ratio. The best "compromise" is to make a show at the aspect ratio of your own monitor and at a resolution which will fit to either the height or width of any monitor it is likely to encounter. Common sense dictates that there must be an upper limit to this and I would suggest that, depending on your own screen AR, the height need not exceed 1200 and the width 1920. An example or three: If your monitor is 1280x1024 (5:4) and your shows are made to fit to screen with images 1200 high your show will fit ANY monitor up to 1920x1200. If your monitor is 1920x1080 (16:9) and your shows are made to fit to screen with images 1200 high your show will fit (the width of) ANY monitor up to 1920x1200. If your monitor is 1024x768 (4:3) and your shows are made to fit to screen with images 1200 high your show will fit ANY monitor up to 1920x1200. In PROJECT OPTIONS/SCREEN set the aspect ratio to suit your monitor and the resolution to xxxx by 1200. Remember to tick Fixed Size of Slide in Pixels. Black lines in some circumstances (top and bottom OR at the sides) are, I'm afraid, an occupational hazzard. DG
  10. V6.5.3 Deluxe and V6.5.3 Standard are IDENTICAL programmes. The only difference comes when you pay the difference to unlock the Deluxe features. If you have loaded V6.5.3 you have the most up to date version of the STANDARD PTE installation (which will work with your original Reg Key). DG
  11. It sounds as though you are trying to load full resolution files at around 4Mb each which is overload! You might try bulk resizing to the resolution of your show/projector. i.e if your projector is 1024x768 and your images are 3:2 then your images need be only 1024 wide.... ....if your projector is 1920x1080 and your images are 3:2 then your images need be only 1080 high. DG
  12. Gilbert, It seems that we might have a little terminology problem. There is no such thing as CREATE FILE - only CREATE EXECUTABLE FILE FOR PC. Is this what you mean? Instead of CREATE (at the bottom left of the screen), go to "CREATE AS" in the CREATE menu at the top left of the screen. This will bring up the "CREATE AS" dialogue where you can specify exactly where you want the EXE File to be saved. You can then go to that location and find it easily. If you are using v6.5 you should see the new icon for executables which I will try to attach here. It is good practice to save all images (jpg, Png,Gif etc) in the one project folder along with any music files etc. You can then "CREATE (EXE) AS" in that same folder. It will then transfer to a memory key (if that is what you want) or play from the Project Folder. DG
  13. David, Your post says 13.5Mb The link points to a 62Mb download. DG
  14. You can upgrade to 6.5 (Standard) without having to pay. If you want the added Videobuilder facilities for making MPEG4 etc you will, if your 2 year licence has expired, have to pay again for the extra facilities. Try it and see what you can / can't do with the new version? You can still use the old version as it is now - don't uninstall that. DG
  15. I'm totally against re-naming images except where the new name contains the original name with added suffix/prefix. It occurred to me that if Igor could include a re-naming procedure within the "create template" operation which added a three figure prefix to the image name in the order used in the project, that would be a big step forward. i.e. first image dsc_1234 would become 001_dsc_1234 etc. Just a thought, DG Edited: Just thought of a snag. How to deal with objects/images which are not main images?
  16. Thanks, I have sent PM about messages. DG
  17. Xaver, Will it recognize the jumbled order in which the slides have been used in a PTE project? The PTE folder will contain images in NUMERICAL order and not in the order in which they have been used. DG
  18. Thanks Igor, Can you confirm: You are NOT sending reg keys as attachments....... or You ARE sending reg keys as attachments..... or SOMETIMES you will send reg keys as attachments? DG
  19. Alena, I did not think for one moment that it was from you because I had not requested a key. When I said that I had posted the same thing, I meant this: http://www.picturest...indpost&p=80469 It was posted straight after nobeefstu said: "Since you have been a Pictures to EXE customer since 2004 ... it would appear by your comments that you are already a registered user. Why not use your PTE key you originally purchased in 2004 on your NEW 64 bit computer ..." ....and Igor said this on 15th October: "Although we send license keys as a text inside email now, a letter still can be blocked by spam filters on a server or in your mailing program" .....so when I saw the reg key attachment (which Igor said you were not going to use) along with it being something I have never requested...... I was cautious. I will use quotes wherever applicable in future! DG
  20. What do you mean by "header" Ken. Do you want me to forward it to you? DG
  21. I think that the answer is simple Ken. If Igor or Alena confirms or denies that the e-mails were sent we'll know if they were genuine (i.e. mistakes) or they were mallicious. DG
  22. Igor, Please ask Alena to check if she sent the reg key to me by mistake? It was an ATTACHMENT (reg.txt) - Igor has said recently that they were not going to use attachments any more. It also came from a GMAIL account. Size of file 314B. My reasons for being cautious - I DID NOT REQUEST IT and WNSOFT DO NOT USE ATTACHMENTS for reg keys. DG
  23. I recieved an e-mail from a Russian source today (name in Russian script). The sender appears on the face of it to be ALENA(?). The subject appeared to be reg key. There was a file attached. Since I haven't requested a reg key I was immediately cautious and I have deleted without opening. Anyone else see this? DG
  24. Vilara's request is a good idea. I normally copy the slide and eliminate all but the last keyframes to simulate the end of the previous slide. However, on a complicated slide this could be difficult and time consuming to achieve. I wonder if it would be possible to REVERSE all keyframes so that what was at the beginning would then be at the end etc. It would then be easy to delete all keyframes NOT at the beginning of the slide. Probably a stupid idea! DG
  25. Look into using TEMPLATES. It won't put the slides in order but will create a seperate folder containing everything needed for the show. It might be what you are looking for? DG
