  1. Thanks for your kind comments Bill. Paul
  2. Thanks for you comments and the bride was pleased with the images and the slide show as was the groom. Paul
  3. Hi Dave Thanks for your kind comments and glad you liked it. I don't do it profesionally only the 5th one I have done in 7 years and only do it for friends and contacts of friends. However I have read many books on the subject and pre planning of the day helps. I also meet the couple a few months before and photograph them in many different lighting conditions to find there best pose positions. Very stressful day for the photographer I must say. Paul
  4. This is a AV presentation of a wedding I photographed August this year and used some of the images to do this show.Although it's a large file it only lasts for just over 6 mins. I am aware that this may have little interest to others outside the immidiate family of the couple. However, I thought as this was in my view a very happy wedding with all guests very willing to cooperate with the me to take the photo's I thought it would be worth a showing to a wider audiance.http://beechbrook.com/pte/downloadfile.asp?id=1764 Paul
  5. Well spotted Ken Should have been a match. Just testing your observation. Paul
  6. A few weeks ago my son and I were privileged to have access to a channel 4 location film set which was filming a drama documentary of the Royal Flying corps. After a whole day of us taking photographs I selected the best and made my own war PTE audio visual and hope you enjoy it. Paul
  7. I didn’t mean my comments to be critical of other types of presentations that people do. However, I do find myself producing shows that are pretty images with music and do lack a certain creativity theme about them. This maybe because I want to play safe and produce a show that’s for all tastes and will not stir controversy. My 21 year old daughter who is a student and belongs to the University photographic club watched your show and commented that this is the type of thought provoking AV that she prefers and thinks has been done extremely well. Once again fantastic show and look forward to seeing more of your work. Paul
  8. Fantastic show Dave. Makes a change to see a show with a strong meaningful subject Regards Paul
  9. Two weeks ago I visited a place in Suffolk not far from me called Haughley Park which has a fantastic display of wild bluebells in the woodland area.I walked for about two miles in the woods which was a continues blanket of blue. I have never seen such a display before and thought I would put it on Beechbrook for those who wish to see it can do so. Many of the shots are similar but it does convey the mass display. Paul
  10. Hi Barry & Carol Just viewed your three outstanding slide shows and must say I think you have made a great choice of place to emigrate to. I can see you will have endless photographic subjects to choose from in this magnificent vast continent. I have never been to Australia but maybe when I retire I will visit this beautiful place and take a few photo’s. However, I feel sure you will both be very content with the choice you have made and wish you both a great future and look forward to further slide show updates. Paul
  11. Thanks for your comments Ralph glad you liked it. Paul
  12. Have put a presentation on Beechbrook http://beechbrook.com/pte/index.asp of the carnival time in Venice February this year which makes for a very colourful spectacle. Haven’t been on this site or contributed any shows for about five months so I thought I would like to come back and find time to be more active Any feedback or comments are welcome regarding this effort. Paul
  13. Hi Gerard What a refreshing presentation very gritty and arty and makes a change from the general pretty landscape scenic presentations we see. This has a great deal of substance and creativity put into this and I would like to see more of these types of shows. However, it did have some shortcomings that other viewers have stated. I think it should have been shorter and the images used for the zoom should have be saved at a larger size to allow you to create this affect. To show it in monochrome was the correct choice. The music was perfect as were the creative and artistic images. I felt the image that was shown with a yellow hue was distracting because as far as I can remember all the others were in monochrome. I did like the fast change cuts in the factory area to the music. As for the introduction title graphics I was impressed as this told me the what quality of show I was about to view. I think if you re-edited this show again with what you know now I think this would lift it up to another level. Its easy to criticise other peoples efforts and easy to offend and I don’t wish to offend at all and hope you view my comments as constructive. I look forward to seeing more of this style of presentation in the future. Great stuff! Paul
  14. Patrick Hi Patrick I think you are correct regarding the first slide in the show in that I should have done the next transition showing the original image without the ripple filter effect. I did wonder about that after I had uploaded it on beechbrook. I may change it later on. Thanks for looking at it and offering your comments. Paul
  15. Just a short presentation of Autumn leaves and trees at a very uninspiring Lake at Needham Market in Suffolk. However, when the leaves change colour it does transfom the foliage at the edge of the lake. I have introduced a little animation near the end of falling leaves. Maybe it's a bit corny, but see what you think. Paul
  16. Hi Lin Now tying to recover from the trauma of this show. Thought it was great fun and wouldn’t it be great to use this in a future Halloween party with a video projector and play it as a loop on a big screen at the venue. So next year I will be waiting for the invite for your big Halloween Party Paul Oh! and by the way how are your eyes? as if I remember you did have a problem with them about a year or so ago.
  17. Great demo Andreas and very high quality images and has given me ideas and inspiration from your contribution. Regards Paul
  18. Hi Ken On reflection you are are correct Ken the dual panes don't add anything may change it in due course
  19. Have just put a new show on beechbrook and any response is welcome. The images have been taken in 2007 & 2008 with a Nikon D200 & a D300 with a 16-85 VR lens. The night shots have all been hand held bracing myself with the use of fixed structures and supports. Paul
  20. Hi David Just looked at your show and enjoyed it very much. Fantastic quality images and liked the way you had constructed the show with the use of the architecture of Venice. I have also seen a similar show on the Beechbrook site which I think was put up about 4 day ago and that is also worth looking at as well. The only thing I would comment on as a personal observation was that I thought the change of the images showing the gondoliers on the lagoon at the end was not needed. The show was strong enough without this and it was as if it was the start of a new show. However, it was a great show with vibrant colour and interest. Well done David and thanks for sharing it. Paul
  21. Barry Thanks for you comments Barry and your are correct about the ending I will rectify this. I found the choice of music for this subject very difficult to find, as you mentioned some upbeat stuff available but not perfect for this historic subject. I have found I can’t leave this AV alone now as it lends it’s self to other ways of presenting the images on screen and have tried many different ways. I was impressed by your show of the Black Country museum presented in a moody atmosphere. The colour was almost none existing if I remember correctly and I think this alone sets the mood of this time in history. I have now produced another show by desaturation, alteration of the colour balance, curves, and applied a faded mask so it looks like an old faded colour image. Also, I have done the same in a sepia. So now I have three shows of the same subject. I have now confused myself as which one I prefer, although today I like the desaturated one with faded edges. However, maybe tomorrow my preference may change. By the way Barry are you still in the UK or are you in Australia? All the best Paul
  22. These images were taken on a visit to the open air museum of Beamish which portrays a typical life and work of people at two key points in the North East regions history, the 1820s and 1913. Many of the photo’s taken inside the reconstructed buildings were taken by available light as not to destroy the natural ambiance. The show is a rather long but felt I needed to show the wealth of history this excellent museum has to offer and really I have made it for my own interest and satisfaction but felt those who wish to view it can do so. Also after all this I have doubts about the music after hearing it so much in the construction of the AV it now sounds monotonous to me. Anyway, I have stuck with this and If you would like to view it and pass your comments please feel free to do so. Paul
  23. David Just viewed your show and thought it was extremely good and it did hold my attention throughout. I found myself finding all sorts of objects and animals formed by the melting icebergs as they appeared on the screen and I think the title of the AV is very suitable. However, one small thing I did find distracting was the change of music at times through the show. Never the less I found it visually satisfying to watch and will view it again. Many thanks for sharing your trip of a lifetime with us all Paul
  24. Thanks for that Xaver but still seem to have difficulty, but will keep trying.
  25. I have just purchased the upgrade for PTE that should allows me to use the video builder. However, I don’t seem to have been supplied with a Key file to unlock this upgrade. I have been using PTE for many years and have been constantly trying the beta versions over the years through the development period to this latest version. Can any one help regarding this matter as I sent and email to wnsoft about this but had no reply as to date. Paul Templeton
