  1. Have just produced a short AV of the small fishing and boating hamlet on the Suffolk cost near Felixstowe. Some images were taken about a week ago and others last year. What was visually pleasant about the time I took these photo’s was the beautiful cloud formation which has helped to make the area enchanting and photogenic. Hope those who view this simple no pans or zoom presentation enjoy the day as much as I did. Paul http://www.mediafire.com/?5irjyff7tewr2ru
  2. Hi Ralph just watched your presentation Theatre World and found it very entertaining. Liked the sequence of Buddy with the glasses rotating. One observation I would bring to your attention is the blending of the different music tracks. First of all the fading of one track to another needs to be faded in very subtlety so the entire sound track seems as one although different music. Some seemed ok but others require the track playing to have the next track brought in earlier at a low volume cross faded in so the transition seems seamless (very similar to the image dissolve on pte but applied in sound which is the only way I can relate it to in that it needs to be pleasant to the ear.) You will find that by refining all these little things it will help to achieve even higher quality in your presentations. Hope this is constructive and I’ve been clear with what I have said, as I’m not sure if I’ve explained it very well. Regards Paul
  3. Glad you liked it and think it's worth whatching. Regards Paul
  4. Thanks for your kind response Ralph. At the time of first constructing this AV I was pleased rgarding the outcome. However, on reflection some sequences do look to being corny and not convincing in reality. Also it could do whith some information regarding the names of the planets galaxies and solar systems to make it more whatchable. Regards Paul
  5. This show was on Beechbrook about four years ago done at a format size 4:3 and now I have re-mastered it, and changed the format to 15:10 and redone some of the animation to offer more impact. Some of the images are from the NASA web site taken by the hubble telescope. Also, I have recreated some of the comets explosions and planets in Photoshop so Its a mixture of graphic images set to music and sound. The biggest challenge was the sound to synchronize it with the images. I will warn all those who decide to watch it that it reasonably long and lasts for about six minutes. This has been mainly done to see how the animation options could be best used and worked in the PTE programme in the early days. http://www.mediafire.com/?avcuwv9kqt75msh Regards Paul
  6. Hi Andrew What a nice way to present these photo’s. Nice just to flick over the pages and look at the images on a time scale that suites the attention span of the viewer. Enjoyed it a lot. Regards Paul
  7. Hi Malcolm Thanks for your comments and I do agree what you say about in puting cutaways of close up shots of the aircraft. I have produced other shows of this type before with the closeups included. However, I feel this type of show I done is only realy aimed at aviation Enthusiastsas it is much of the same but felt it was probably worth exposer to a wider audiance. Regards Paul
  8. Hi Barry For some reason I had missed this on the forum back in May. However, I’m glad that I have picked this up now, and what a great way you have explained the myth of the perfect exposure. I believe every newcomer to photography should watch this presentation and maybe they will not be brainwashed by the countless hogwash some so called experts talk about regarding the cameras ability to offer the correct exposure what ever the conditions if it is set correctly. I would also say camera manufactures have a lot to answer for, as their promotional stuff leads one to believe that the camera they are selling you will produce the correct exposure because it has a highly technically metering system. I have seen the quality of work you turn out Barry and that must be proof enough to support your claim to all I hope. Regards Paul
  9. A short presentation of a collection of shots I took at the Botanic Garden Cambridge. Unfortunately the gardens had lost the vibrance because of the dry weather but I have managed to put a show together of sorts. http://beechbrook.com/pte/downloadfile.asp?id=1864 Reards Paul
  10. Brilliant show and superb photography. I liked the monochrome shots and the de saturated sequences. Also thought the infrared shots, which made the grass white, and the headstones stand out worked well. This type of show is also of great interest to me as I do very similar conservation and restoration work on these types of memorials as a stonemason, and must say the atmosphere you have created in your show is how I have experienced it working in churches with way of the changing light . Thanks for sharing an original and refreshing show. Regards Paul
  11. Poto's taken at the Flying Legends air display Duxford July 2010 hope you enjoy it http://beechbrook.com/pte/downloadfile.asp?id=1862 Regards Paul
  12. Fantastic wedding images and slide show. I very much liked the way you done it as a wedding album. I do hope that Julie recovers and is able to enjoy your exellent contibution to her very special day. Regards Paul
  13. Hi Brian What a great show it’s captured Amsterdam as I remembered last October when my wife and I went. I particularly liked the pan shots of the gables on the buildings and the close-ups of the plaques on the walls. The music was suited to the subject and worked well. Outstanding photography that resulted into a top class presentation. Regards Paul
  14. Hi Andrew Liked your show especially as I’m a stone mason and anything regarding ecclesiastical stonework is of great interest to me. I have heard of the story about the apprentice stonemason being murdered by the master mason and it was nice to have it verified in your presentation. Thought the music enhanced a very pleasurable show. Paul
  15. Hi Barry Very nice show and thought the music went well with the images. I did recognise most of the places Flatford, Aldeburgh, Orford, Saxstead, Woodbridge, Lavenham, Southwold and Dedham I think plus many others. I also live in Suffolk and it was nice to see a show from the area I live in. Look forward to your next show. Regards Paul
  16. Hi Maureen Absolutely breathtaking images and a wonderful presentation. Although a little long it was justified to do so and it held my attention throughout. Thanks for such great visual entertainment. Paul
  17. Hi Morturm Very creative images enjoyed it a lot. Music was very suitable for the subject, just the correct length and held my attention. Was sorry it didn’t go on longer but it’s always best to leave the audience wanting more. The abrupt end was not for me, I feel a fade would be more suitable. However, it may be the correct way to end the show in that the abruptness will convey to your audience the possible sudden end of the fishing in the river. Paul
  18. Thanks Ken glad you liked it. Also thanks to all the others who offered favourable comments. The size of the images Ken are 1720 x 1141 resized from 12.3 Million pixel images although they maybe oversize for the show, I feel I need the lager image because I cropped some as I put the show together. Also because of the pan shots in the show required a larger image as a small area of the photo is used in this function. Not sure if I make my self clear Ken or I need to do this, but this works for me and results in clear crisp images but does bump up the PTE show file size. I have also posted it on YouTube site and it plays well but full screen not so good Regards Paul
  19. This AV was originally on Beechbrook about 6 months ago in colour. I have now redone it in sepia with a mask like old discoloured photo paper. The photos were taken by me and my son on a channel four film set location in Suffolk . The film being made was about aircraft being used in the first world war for spotting the enemy and giving coordinates to the British gun crew to fire on their positions http://beechbrook.com/pte/downloadfile.asp?id=1800 Regards Paul
  20. Hi Maureen What an outstanding show I have only just viewed it for the first time. I have played it a few times now and never tire of viewing such beautiful scenery photographed so well. Regards Paul
  21. Not been that active lately regarding slide shows but have put one together of the snow covered countryside in Suffolk which can be downloaded from Beechbrook http://beechbrook.com/pte/index.asp Regards Paul
  22. Pleased you liked the show. The bride and groom were very coperative with me so I was able to achieve exactly what they and I wished for photographically. Also had a wedding book/album produced by a company called myphotobook.co.uk and they produced a very good professional album. Paul
  23. Glad you enjoyed it. The music is from Audio Network and you will have to pay a small fee to download it it's called My perfect day and the this is the link http://www.audionetworkplc.com/production-music/my-perfect-day_11319.aspx Paul
