You may try the following procedure: Use the drop down menu of your animation method (Pan, Zoom, ...), choose "Setting up ..." in order to open the Speed Options. Then separate the key frames. Regards, Xaver

You may try to beat (or count) the time of your music. It often works well if you place the transition points at beat no 1 in the corresponding bars. In most cases, these positions can be seen in the waveform. Regards, Xaver

Great, that's what people in North America use to say (to almost everything). But what does it mean? I have never understood. A question referring to the show: Is it intention that the transition points and the rhythm of the music only seem to meet incidentally? Regards, Xaver

Where can I download it? Regards, Xaver

Gary,Eric, I know about the sample rates and the bit depths. All I want to show is that PTE again has a problem with wav-files. Regards, Xaver

Thanks, Gary. I still use the presently official version 7.5.7 on Windows XP. Regards, Xaver

The attached project includes the sound of a cash register (Kasse.wav). During preview I can hear artifacts (clicks) which disappear after opening and re-saving the sound file with Audacity (Kasse-Audacity.wav). Regards, Xaver Audio-Test.zip

You can Cut and Past almost everywhere. What's the place you are thinking of? Regards, Xaver

Regard it as a feature (not as a bug). People who work with sequences whose transition points are precisely synchronized with the music (a job that sometimes takes hours) will prefer the behavior as it is. Regards, Xaver

Thanks. I was thinking of the normal slide list, not the full screen view. But in this view even v7.5 has the said slider (hidden in the top row). Regards, Xaver

I cannot remember having seen such a slider. Drag the bar between slide list and mini player! Regards, Xaver

I would also like to learn some more details. Regards, Xaver

Thank you to all for your comments. In the nearer future I'll have to go for a new computer, and it will be one with a pre-installed operating system. Typically this will be Windows 8. Regards, Xaver

Is there any experience of forum members using PTE under Windows 8? Regards, Xaver

A Problem with audio playback in published EXE [SOLVED]
xahu34 replied to PGA's topic in General Discussion
You may be right. But there have been similar effects with other audio files in the past (if I remember it correctly, also with MP3s). All we can learn is that Preview and Exe seem to use different audio interfaces. So, if the Preview runs fine, the Exe still has to be tested. Regards, Xaver -
A Problem with audio playback in published EXE [SOLVED]

I've just made the same experiment with the wav-file, as Gary did. The result is the same as Gary's. Regards, Xaver -
Gary, PTE uses the multimedia library FFmpeg. Looking at FFmpeg's list of supported video codecs, I cannot not find CFHD. Bad news for you, sorry. Regards, Xaver

Hi Maureen, I have sent to you a PM. Best regards, Xaver

My non-authoritative remark: There is no doubt that this answer is true, but I have the impression that you are mocking a little bit on us!? I like your images (much more that your sequences), and these images look heavily processed without being over-processed, quite a good work. But just referring to Photoshop does not provide any substantial information. Regards, Xaver

Create a Black/White image in you image editor (Photoshop, PS Elements, Gimp, ...). Save it as JPG or PNG. Black areas in the mask will produce transparent parts of the masked image, white areas produce opaque parts, grey parts will lead to partial transparency. Good luck, Xaver

Audio comments seem to run synchronized, so you cannot avoid this effect. In cases where the sequence stops the comment will stop, as well. Regards, Xaver

Problem with Version 7.5 giving only sound

The Intel Graphic Media Accelerator 900 is an on-board graphics accelerator from 2004, in my opinion not an appropriate hardware for running PTE 7.5. Regards, Xaver
