  1. Trying to recover some parts of a project made under XP SP3 32-bit, which refuses to open under my actual W7 ULTIMATE 64-bit (OUT OF MEMORY ERROR and CRASH), I was able to isolate a certain slide 3:34,099 long, and open it in O&A of my actual PTE 8.0.1. This slide is most important for me: it only contains an HD video of a river at sunset, which I want to include in another project. However, the video length is only 1:29,960 and it is located at the end of the slide. This way, the first 02:04,139 of the slide are black, nothing is there. I want to reduce the length of the slide to 1:29,139 (video length). This would be no problem if situation was only about one simple video with its initial keyframe. However, situation is that such video has been shot from a boat. Of course, I stabilized it (SONY VEGAS), but it was not enough, as the sun was still jumping side to side, up and down, and horizont line changing inclination. I had to "stabilize" it here in PTE, using lots of keyframes and changing X, Y and ROTATION in each keyframe. I was able to get a good and stable video. However, I had to zoom-in the whole video (119%), in order to not show black border zones. I was able to eliminate all black borders except upper black border, as I do not want to zoom-in anymore. To fill such upper black border, I used same video again under a Blur Mask Container, and zoomed-out it (vertical zoom only), in order that no separation line between both videos was visible. 99% perfect and smooth, just like I want it! So, with so many keyframes (X, Y, Rotation) in both videos, along 1:29,960, is there a way to "push" these videos to the start of the reduced slide, without working on each and every keyframe? All this (isolate the past project, slide by slide, in order to recover sequences of videos and pictures already prepared), once more (see Nov 2012 posts), only because PTE still is a native 32-bit software. I just messaged Igor about this. 4K is arriving , HD is in its middle age, and PTE goes on developing fantastic capabilities which can not be used freely because of 32-bit limitations. And don't say that this is "pushing the limits" as someone said before. Thanks. Jose
  2. Hi Lin, Thanks. I just emailed you. Regards, Jose
  3. Hi Lin, I just upgraded to PTE 8.0.1 and I can see now that its Converter accepts m2ts files (Converter 7.5.10 did not accept, I had to rename to mov). So, it was before your suspected future (8.5)! Great! Regards, Jose PS: What about our recent private messages...?!
  4. Hi, Yes, this morning I had it here. It was sent by Support Dept upon my claim for it. As I can see in this Forum, Licenses always have been a problem with WnSoft. Should not it be a 100% automatic process just like we can see in everyother software online purchasing? And why does WnSoft need to proclaim 5 minutes? Regards, Jose
  5. Hi, Your tutorial does not apply to my question. Thanks anyway. Jose
  6. I just upgraded from 7.5.10 to 8.0.1 (I am still waiting for new License, the anounced 5 minutes to receive license upon paying have already overpassed 1 hour... I am a bit disapointed) Please, someone let me know if it will be possible with this version to edit the audio of each video clip. I mean: I have 2 clips, both with sound. I put a dissolve transition from clip 1 to clip 2. Result is ok for the video, but transition does not affect the audio, as it should be supposed to. So, I think that this will be possible somehow. If not, I must separate audio from video, mute de clips, and include and edit each audio part into the main audio trak, which I use to prepare outside PTE. That is what I have been making till now in version 7.5.10. Thanks, Jose
  7. Hi Lin, Thanks so much for your guess. Yes, I think your explanation is the correct one, and now I understand. Best regards, Jose
  8. 112 views and 0 replies? It seams like PTE Converter could accept M2TS files, directly. I wonder why all this can happen. No comments? All this is because I often use SONY VEGAS to stabilize MOV videos from my DSLR. Best file type VEGAS can offer when rendering is M2TS. To use such videos in PTE we must convert them into AVI, so, to avoid a double conversion I change M2TS extension to MOV and PTE Converter does the job. No other member had this situation?
  9. PTE Converter (from PTE 7.5.10) does not accept M2TS files. I tried to simply change M2TS extension to MOV extension (no conversion at all) and PTE Converter accepts and converts to AVI without any problem. Is there any inconvenient? No quality loss? How is this possible? Thanks.
  10. Thanks DG. I didn't try yet. Anyhow, problem is that such 2 projects are in 2 different computers (I missed to specify). I wonder if I can make copy/paste of edited slide to a pendrive, and copy/paste from here to the project on other computer. If not, solution could be to backup-zip complete project and copy/paste it to the second computer, unzip, and copy/paste the edited slide. I will try soon.
  11. PTE 7.5.10 Big mess...! Is it possible to add/join an edited slide from a PTE project to another PTE project (with same project options), without loosing all its edition parameters (keyframes, etc., included in its own O&A)? This is because I am returning to a 2012 project of mine which I never completed because of a PTE error never explained by PTE support (has to do with PTE running on Windows7 64-bit). I am now trying to overpass the situation as I must finish my project. Thanks, Jose
  12. False alarm? I had to put the key again and everything is running again (DeLuxe features). Why this happened? PTE lost its "validation"? Jose
  13. I work with PTE 7.0.7 DeLuxe, which I bought 21 October 2011, got respective key and registered. Says: "DeLuxe features, free upgrades up to 11 December 2012". Ok, I never wanted to upgrade and I allways used DeLuxe features such as all "Publishing options" like HD video for PC (mp4) till late June 2013. Today I wanted to make another HD video for PC (mp4), and it says "For work with DeLuxe features of current version you need to pay for the upgrade". How is that? I do not want to upgrade, I just want to use my "old" Deluxe features of PTE 7.0.7. I wouldn't mind to pay for an upgrade to 7.5 (sooner or later I will do so) in order to get again DeLuxe features working, if I could keep such DeLuxe features working in my "old" 7.0.7 (where I just ended a project which I do not want to open in 7.5). But this seems not to be the case. When I choose PAY, such payment is to upgrade to 7.5, with respective license key, which will not apply to my 7.0.7, so, not interested. In the meantime, you say: For owners of Deluxe edition You have 2 years of free upgrades to any future versions from the date of your original purchasing of Deluxe edition. If your license key has expired for this new version, you can choose any of these ways: - use any previous version with all the functions for an unlimited time; - use this new version within the functions of the Standard edition; - pay for the upgrade to the latest Deluxe version. Ok, I shoul like to go on using the first way, as till June this year at least. Why is it not possible now? Any explanation? This is urgent, as I need to make the HD video for PC of my finished project. Please, do not tell me to use the 7.5 version, not for payment reasons but because I do not want to open project in this version. Thanks, Jose
  14. Hi Lin, Just by curiosity: was it with Irfanview? Or how did you made the extraction? Thanks and regards, Jose
  15. Thanks, DG and Lin. I downloaded again the former 9 MOV fies directly from my iPad, plus 7 more I shot today. I installed PTE 8.0 Beta 1 and converted all of them with respective 8.0 Video Converter and everything run smooth! So, I think problem were corrupted files. Anyhow, why should they play ok in every video players and were not accepted by PTE Video Converters? By the way, I think this time I will stay in PTE 8.0 continuing my actual project, even if it is still a Beta version... Some time ago I remember I asked Igor about "converter parameters" used by PTE Video Converter, I mean, which video bitrate correspond to each quality percentage, etc., etc.. I don't think he replied. Do you know something about this? In fact, I never use the automatic optimization, I always convert by myself using 100% quality. This way I know that parameters are the best, beeing them whatever are. Another point: what do you think about including in next PTE version a Video Stabilization System? Would it be something impossible? Best regards and thanks again, Jose
  16. Yes, it is. Published just some days ago. Anyhow, I think that this is not affecting my problem with PTE Video Converter 7.0.7.
  17. Thanks Lin. Installed 8.0 Beta 1, problem persists with some of my 9 files! Anyhow, using again 7.5.10 and its Video Converter, problem was overpassed when I renamed the original files, or when I used copies of same files. Trying to use again 7.0.7 and its Video Converter, problem always persist, or comes the attached Error message. I think that after first ERROR MESSAGE (my second post) when I tryed to load 9 files at same time (7.0.7), files or something else became corrupted or some instructions became memorized (in spite of all of them playing well). So, 7.0.7 Video Converter doesn't work at all with these 9 files, beeing them renamed or copied, although I have uninstalled and installed from new PTE 7.0.7 several times. In this case, my question on differences between 7.0.7 and 7.5.10 Video Converters I think is important. At last, in case I only can work with 8.0 or 7.5.10 Video Converter, I will have no problem with that. My Notebook is CLEVO P170SM with 2 graphic cards: a "native" INTEL HD GRAPHICS 4600 (1,37 GB RAM) and a AMD RADEON HD8970M (2GB RAM). I have 32GB RAM and run WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 64-bit. Best regards, Jose
  18. Thanks Gary and Lin. I think I have a problem! In my first post I forgot to say that I was using (as usual) my "old" PTE v7.0.7. I didn't say neither that my first attempt with PTE Converter was to load Converter with a group of 9 clips, all of them 180º rotated (from iPad). Reaction of Converter was a series of sounds and Error messages about an "Error Exception... something..." After this I tried to load a single clip each time, but Converter didn't accept none of them, I mean, I added a file and nothing happened, the file didn't show in Converter. I loaded a 100% different (normal) file and Converter accepted and converted. After this I post to Forum. Today, Gary and Lin said no problems with your v7.5.10. I just uninstalled my 7.0.7 and installed 7.5.10. Result: exactly the same problem, Converter didn't accept this kind of rotated files, but accepted and converted other kind of normal files. So, what could be my problem? Something to do with those "Error Exceptions..." which affected someother things? Question: PTE Video Converter from 7.0.7 and 7.5.10 are the same and only version, or different versions and specifications? Thanks, Jose
  19. Why this file is not accepted by PTE Video Converter? http://www.mediafire.com/?ql2j4ujuhkhs695 It's a MOV, 19,35MB, bitrate 17,4Mbps, 8bit, progressive, 30fps, directly from an iPad iOS 7. I suspect the reason is the file beeing 180º rotated, because I shot it with iPad upside down. Anyhow, when I watch it on Premiere, or any video player, it shows right (rotation corrected), I wonder how and why... Thanks for your opinions. Jose
  20. "Leaving as it is": as you know, Microsoft will stop WINDOWS XP support (updates, security, etc.) next 08 April 2014, so I don't think advisable to go on with it, I should change to W7. Motherboard is INTEL DP55KG (chipset INTEL P55 compatible with AMD CROSSFIRE technology). Graphics card is AMD RADEON HD 5770, compatible to be paired with a second AMD card, under AMD CROSSFIRE technology. This way, I think that I only must install another AMD graphics card (not necessary to be equal to the existing one), and pair it, hoping that PTE runs smooth under W7 (32 or 64-bit). I should like to hear about this. After all, I think that some members upgraded from XP to W7, and keeping their computers. Thanks.
  21. Thanks to Lin and Yachtman1. Sorry Lin, I failed to mention my video card: AMD RADEON HD 8970M - 4 GB DDR5. And yes, I can see that my computer has 2 video cards, the "primary" one is INTEL HD GRAPHICS 4600, 1,37 GB RAM. You are right: right-clicking on desktop, you open "Configure Switchable Graphics" and for each program you can choose Graphics Settings "High Performance", "Power Saving" or "Based on Power Source" (since this is a 17,3" Notebook). All this in AMD Catalyst Control Center. I could see that all programs were to work in "Power Saving" mode, so, working with "primary" video card only, I suppose. Is this so? When I changed PTE to "High Performance" mode... it was a new world! Everything runs 100% smooth. And this with Windows 7 32-bit, because that is the one installed by now. I must now format "C" and install a clean 64-bit version, and I hope results are even better. By the way, this puts me now another problem: I would like my "old" computer to be installed with Windows 7 64-bit as well. But it has not any "primary" video card, only an ATI HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 128-bit, processor is INTEL CORE i5-750, 16 GB RAM. I think I have no solution, unless changing computer! One year ago I had big problems with PTE in such computer with WINDOWS 7 64-bit, and I had to keep XP SP3. Thanks again, Jose
  22. I need help! I just bought a new computer 100% up-to-date and installed WINDOWS 7 64-bit ULTIMATE (but same problem with 32-bit version). Computer: - Intel Core i7 Quad Core Mobile Processor i7-4900MQ (2,80GHz) 8 MB - RAM 32 GB - Intel 520 series SSD 120 GB SSDSC2CW120A3K5 (system only) - Western Digital Scorpio Black 750 GB - All drivers 100% updated. 3 months ago I made a 19 minutes slideshow in my other 3 years old computer working with WINDOWS XP SP3, and slideshow runs 100% smooth on it, either on timeline viewer, objects & animation viewer, full screen mode and even the EXE file. Slideshow was made with PTE 7.0.7. and it has several slides with very hard annimations and effects, including several videos running at the same time. Nevertheless, as I said, program runs 100% smooth on XP SP3. When I try to run this same slideshow on this new computer (Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit versions, I already tried both of them) it's a complete disaster! Even in the "easier" slides, PTE is not smooth at all, and in the most "severe" it happens that timeline moving arrow stops but show goes on (video and audio). Sudenly the arrow jumps forward in the timeline, "catching" the slide showing at the moment, and while it is stoped, program is frozen (not possible to pause or stop) even if it is running (video and audio). I can't immagine what is the problem. Computer is state-of-the-art, and slideshow is in good condition and performing well with an old computer with XP SP3. I already tried the troubleshoot compatibility option of PTE, changed it from XP SP2 to XP SP3, but no results at all. I even made a new slideshow using this new computer (Windows 7 32-bit), and for this I copied/paste 1 only slide of my mentioned slideshow. Running experience is the same disaster. And it is a show already built in the new computer, not in the old one using XP SP3. I also tried to use actual PTE v 7.5.10, and results are the same. So, what might be happening with PTE and Windows 7? Thanks for some help. Jose
  23. Original is more than 2 hours, and I can not run it all by now. But I would say that audio runs correctly and video slows down. "Extracting" the audio from the video and running audio by itself, I can see in the timeline that both end at same time. Not surprising: sync is kept, as I said before.
  24. Hi DG, Yes, separate audio from video is what I always do on my projects. Movies are always mute, audio runs by itself, even because I use to edit a complex soundtrack on a separate audio editor. Point is the PTE ability to keep video/audio sync when "native" audio is part of the movie itself! And as I can see there must be some big problem for PTE to assure such sync. In my actual "BETA case", I would like to keep each project (BETA cassette) by itself, I mean, audio "integrated" in video, but this is not possible as sync is completly lost. I would like Igor to solve this! Regards, Joise
