  1. Donf, Good to hear from a new member and that the AV had the desired effect. As I wanted to keep things in HD quality, it did take some searching to get what I wanted. Thanks for watching and your feedback. Davy
  2. Lin, Cool AV. It’s hard to put Lisah in a ‘Box’. There’s just too much going on. Sings, Paints, Poses, loves Harleys, Horses, Dogs and life. A bodacious Lady, in a well crafted and original presentation. I like that. Davy
  3. Hi Lin, Control of the audio within a Video would certainly make life easier. Maybe it will happen in 7.5. Thanks, Davy
  4. Ken, Re the audio sync. All of the audio was extracted seperatly for treatment Added later as audio tracks. Could have did things differently, but just wanted to do things the hard way. I can't see a way of boosting audio within a video file in PTE. If it can't be done, might be worth a suggestion to our leader,Igor. Thanks for watching. Davy
  5. Eric, Have you ever thought about using rechargeables? The Panasonics below will hold a charge for long periods, unlike standard rechargeable types, which lose charge in an unused state. Better suited for flash units. 7 day shop carry one of the few (in the uk) chargers that will carry out a battery refresh, as well as charge. Easy on the pocket too. http://tinyurl.com/cddny3p Panasonic Evolta http://tinyurl.com/449lv27 intelligent charger Davy
  6. All, ‘Zulu’ Not for the faint of heart, at 200mb! and almost all video, except for a title intro text as a replacement for the original. A condensing of the original movie, ‘Zulu’. Picture quality is fairly good considering it was made almost 50 years ago. 1280 x 720 and almost 9 minutes long. http://www.mediafire.com/?cadk45uj5h6ih6f If you don’t like video, large downloads or restless natives,it’s not for you. I can't guarantee perfect playback,so no refunds given. Davy
  7. Paulo, One again,a super show. I was looking at Helicon Focus a while back for stacking my Macro photos. It does a great job here. Well done, Davy
  8. Paulo, You should post this AV as a new topic in it's own right. A really excellent piece of work. Eric. double left click image, select HD,select full screen. No Lego Pixels with this AV. Davy
  9. Gary, Here is the Youtube Video of the full length animation. Pretty clever stuff from a Russian animation team. Nice music too. Glad you got rid of the gremlins. Davy
  10. Rick, I was just experimenting and no idea how it was going to turn out. I blame it all on Lin Evans. Glad it worked for you. Thanks for watching. Davy
  11. Colin, Tried a long single >20,000 pixel long pan photo in the centre section of the frame first, but the outer Video just pulled away all the attention. I liked the story line of the double video. It seemed to work better. As our South African correspondent it's your duty to get back to making AVs. Thanks, Davy
  12. Ken, Still a bit to go as far as the Video goes. You don't handle Single malt from the Highlands of Scotland. It handles you. Thanks, Davy
  13. Lin, I'm in good company then. As long as the inmates don't take over the Asylum. Thanks for watching, Davy
  14. All, ‘Road to Nowhere’ 78mb 3min 39 seconds and 1920 x 1200 http://www.mediafire.com/?vvc94us7495ktu5 On the 'experimental (need my medication) side',messing around with some downloaded video clips. A repeated/mirrored video, surrounds a separate inner video animation. Video samples from Youtube. Its a fairly large download and heavy on the Video,so lesser specced PCs might run out of steam. Davy
  15. Thanks David, Downloaded, but not played with yet. Had a look at the examples. The Alien looks neat. Davy
  16. Eric, I intended no offence or confusion. If you do feel a little confused I can always have a little chat with Nurse Ratched again. I thought that you made use of a projector and my suggestion was for that application. The exact format of your Projector screen is not known to me,but even allowing that it was a fixed 16:9 format,I suggested you try a 16:10 AV onto your screen. By your own words, you have (had) ‘trouble’ with 16:9. I had in fact told you that this was simply down to conditioning on your part. Anyone else who commented on your abnormal aversion was simply wrong. 16:9 was the work of the devil. What changed? But why would there be a difference between a monitor and a projector screen? Because of the scale, viewing distance, ambient light and the black surround border. You concentrate on what you can see, not what you can’t. Converting AVs from 4:3 to 16:9 is normally hard to do.Just ask a photographer. Even if the content is so unimportant that it can be butchered without consequence, 16:10 is more forgiving and there will some extra headroom for cropping original images. If you are happy cutting off the flowers and worrying about the roots, knock yourself out. Happy Easter to you and all the inmates at Happy Acres. Davy.
  17. Eric,Ken, Now you should realise I was just yanking some strings after Eric has been going flat out with 16:9 conversions. Still Eric, there is room for an experiment. Try a conversion to 16:10 with this AV.You might like it better than 16:9. You should, even though you might not admit it. Forget about the black bands. On a projection screen (the material itself),black bands are a desirable feature as they increase the perceived brightness of your images. Forget the equispaced border of a 16:9 projector screen for the test. Even though budget projectors struggle producing decent blacks, you might like the increased headroom with less chopping off your original images. Davy
  18. Ken, Hope you are going to tell Eric that AV conversions are now done at 16:10 ratio now and not 16:9. Davy
  19. Daniel, Well done with your AV. This was an area I had not seen or heard of before. Nice work, capturing and presenting the scenery. Thanks for taking us with you. Davy
  20. Colin, Thank you for watching and commenting on the AV. I was wary that it should be presented in a respectful and suitable manner. Davy
  21. Hi Lin, Glad it worked for you. I wanted the AV shown with full screen images,so I had to reject a fair few lower res pictures. Knowing the Bible stories helps to fill in the visual 'blanks'. Davy
  22. Lin, Nice work with the full version. I finally got a chance to watch it in peace. Bought in a galactic size bag of popcorn specially. Now all this theorising about lightspeed and timewarp is fine. As a real life experiment we can do a test. 2 Bottles of single malt.give one to Bob Lazar and tell him to ship it to me in one of those uber crafts. The other bottle just pack it up and send it to me via the good ole US postal service. I will drink which ever one arrives first and keep the other as a memento of the landmark occasion. Cheers, Davy
  23. Mortum, Available artwork tends to concentrate on similar scenes,so timewise the AV is on the short side. A wider range of images from other scenes might have helped. Thanks for watching and your comments. Davy
  24. Greetings Commander, Looks like I overdid the deep sleep again. Maybe I need some Single malt tonic to correct the imbalance of my molecular structure. Rather than give up my phaser,I will just keep it on stun. Davy
  25. Jan, I would have a 91mb exe file over a mp4-file on Vimeo. Davy
