  1. Might as well use the spare win7 Ultimate (64bit mode) OS I stashed away. Re the soundcard.Despite the mobo specs, even a cheapo £20 card is going to improve on the onboard sound quality. Your requirements will dictate what you need.Your external hardware will limit what you will end up with.As with the motherboard specs, soundcard specs won't tell you all.Everything is relative, but something around the £50 mark should do the trick, unless you need something exotic. Davy
  2. Am about to order some upgraded bits for a faulty/old PC. Should really be using dedicated hardrive/raid setup for video/rendering,but hey,it's a just for fun rig. Davy
  3. Colin, It may seem a little unfair to talk of Xaver as though he is not here, but this is the second time he has asked me to continue PMs in German. There is nothing lost in translation regarding the intent of his initial post. All I can do is keep him right and tell him in the best possible way, to play nice. Davy
  4. Do not be concerned that you feel disadvantaged here. Most of your posts will be understood by the majority of members. I’m sure that nobody will think you a dumpkopf. Please do consider what you are trying to convey though, as jumping in with ‘Jack Boots’is not always recommended. This will be appreciated by all and no doubt, things will read much better for you in future. Regards, Davy
  5. Audition is about sound production, not Visual. Regards, Davy
  6. Roger, I have the original Audion 3 from Adobe already installed on my PC, so Have not needed to try the linked downloads. Wow a download of 4.24 Gig!Thats heavy duty. Maybe some of the techies here have had some luck,or maybe it's just too good to be true. Davy
  7. If you can get a copy of Audition 3 on your machine to work, it's pretty cool. You can dump that crapola Audacity thing in the recycle bin. Davy
  8. Eric, Please feel free to display whatever of my AVs that you like. I consider it a compliment for someone to download and keep a show. Doubly so, to think it worthy of showing to others. Regards, Davy
  9. Gary, Another cool show. Well done. Enjoy your almost 'White Christmas'. Davy
  10. Lin, Back from doing the Santa rounds. This is fun. Will have to let the young ones see it tomorrow. Cheers, Davy
  11. Lin, You be careful. Shovelling snow is a major contributor to male heart attacks. We just can't afford to lose you. You could always hire 'The Shoveler. He has to be home and in bed for 8pm though. Have fun, Davy
  12. Hi Ralph, Enjoy being with the family and treasure the short periods of peace inbetween Have a great Christmas too. Davy
  13. Ken, It's been raining inbetween showers in the UK with widespread flooding. Despite the short lived fun factor, snow would be a welcome sight. Have a good one, Davy
  14. All, ‘The First Noel’ weighing in at 18 mb, 1920x1200, and lasting 4min 8 seconds. Just some downloaded images/art, with some piano music. http://www.mediafire.com/?acmb94yys591mzw Davy
  15. I can hardly believe this story about those cold hearted IAC villains. This being pension day and all. Still, with no winning AV on show, it’s not possible to wear the Purple Toga of Excellence (PTE). Some might scoff at Newbies up against an experienced moderator on an AV forum, but it’s still a well done from me. Winning at all costs has to be condoned. Re the Youtube intelligent recognition software. Easy to beat a system when you know how. Much like a nod and a wink at the Great Northern. Davy
  16. Mick, Its a computer management error not a mediafire error. Nurse Ratchett and the inmates of Sleepy Acres will no doubt be pleased that the forum now has a new Technical Guru. There is no comeback from technically wrong or inappropriate answers, but for the price of a few Diazepam and the odd reverse action laxative tablet, they are pure comedy gold. Maybe if he behaves he can get to wear his 'Captains Hat'again. Davy
  17. All, Rewind to around 1300 and the Italian Poet Dante Alighieri pens the masterpiece, ‘Divine Comedy’. Step forward to 1911 and Italian silent film makers produce L’Inferno which is loosely adapted from Dante’s work. It runs for 70 minutes and makes more than $2 million in the US. Step forward to about 2 days ago and I bags the film for the princely sum of £0.20. (30 cents) So I edited the film down to 2 parts A & B. Each part lasts around 10 mins. A bit heavy around 150mb each, but it is all video. No talking, No Spielberg effects and an awful load of gesticulating, but that’s all part of the fun. Part A http://www.mediafire.com/?8u9pmetja4rr1c1 Part B http://www.mediafire.com/?aa7e9j3v3w77lz8 Davy
  18. Andrew, Echoing what others have said. Well done. Thanks for sharing. Davy
  19. Colin, Watching at 5.30am is wimping out. Maybe try using headphones after dark,to save the neighbours! Thanks for watching. Davy
  20. Mick, If only it were that simple. This is 'Maleovent' and once invited..... You don't get to keep it.It gets to keep you. Thanks for watching. Please watch it again around midnight. Davy
  21. Ken, Halloween would have been a real SCREAM! Davy
  22. All, Warning Adult 18 material. It may still be offensive to some adults, so viewer discretion advised. A trip to the dark side. To get maximum effect, please do the following..... Play this at night, room darkened, kids to bed, no distractions, back door unlocked. Turn up the volume and if you have a sub-woofer wind that up a bit too. After watching go straight to bed and before drifting off to sleep, consider the unlocked back door. Sweet dreams. ‘Malevolent’ 13mb 1920x1200 duration min 2.22 (watched 3 times, that’s min 6.66) <...> ......The master is waiting for you. Davy
  23. Ken, He was a character alright. Just liked to do his own thing. You have to admire that. Cheers, Davy
  24. LS Lowry. Seemed a shame to leave these sitting on a hard drive. AV only. 1920x1200,19mb,3mins duration. http://www.mediafire.com/?5v3ifkhn4uym1tr Davy
  25. Lin, Have been busy with AVs,(but not for this forum) so a bit behind with whats been happening here. This is a pretty cool AV. Images and soundtrack sit well together. Well done, Davy
