  5. Good Evening Here is the concept I would like to be able to use with PTE. I show this example in Flash to give Igor an idea of how it is done. This is just a short demo with 6 images and 30 seconds of audio. You will notice a row on control buttons. The center button is the key button. The show comes up running in a timed mode and will, by my choice loop continually. If you choose to take control of the show you click the center button and the show will stop. The button has the universal image for pause and start. You may then manually go forward of backwards through the show. To start the auto mode again just click the pause start key (center key) I have asked many computer users what they prefer and they all like being able to control the show if they desire to. We as Slideshow designers need to look at what the audience wants as well as what we prefer. This control method keeps both camps happy. Anyway here is a link to that example. Cheers Ralvis GiveUsersControl
  6. Maureen 7x60=420 seconds 30000/420=714 images per second Doesn't make sense. Am I missing something here. Ralvis
  7. A Win98Se2222 image file is approx 80 megs. My pooter can restore that image file in about 10 seconds. So you can run Xp and when you want to scan or test software on Win98 restore your Wn98 image file or keep a 509 meg fat32 2nd primary partion and boot into it. I can give you detail on how to do this. Ralvis
  8. Nicely done Alan. You have mastered the transparent Ghost. The subject might scare a few people away but I think you diid a great job with the show. Keep up the good work Ralvis
  9. Thanks Alan for the kind words. Ken could I ask you to check your monitor calibration and the whales should not be a problem to see. Keep in mind they don't show up untill the end. take a look at this link for adjusting your gamma. If you use Photoshop go to the control panel in windows and look for Adobe Gamma and make sure it is the windows startup dir. My Webpage

  12. Very well done Patrick. Being ex RCAF I especially enjoyed it. I noticed you even had a RCAF CF104 Starfighter. Although I knew recognized quite a few of the different planes it would have been nice to have a text description of them. Keep up the good work. Ralvis
  13. Boxig did you do a clean install of XP, in other words did you format your drive or did you install over top of 98? If you don't do a clean install of XP you are going to have some problems down the road. I run XP Pro, W98 SE222 , and W2K Server on 3 primary partitions and Suse 9.0 on a logical partiton. I can boot into any one of them. It is a simple matter to dual boot 98 and XP. I run NTFS for XP and W2K , Fat32 for 98 and Reiser FS for Suse 9.0 Xp wil run fine on a pentium 3. I have 2 computers on a network. My 2nd computer is a Celeron 600 ABit BH6 Mboard with 512 k Ram. XP runs fine on this. On this class of a machine you have to really tweak xp up. You basically run it looking like Windows 2000. Once you get used to the clear fonts in XP it is tough to go back to not having them. Don't get discouraged, XP is a great operating system if you know how to set it up properly for your hardware. Ralvis
  14. Thankyou for your kind comments. The scrolling credits were done in Swish which produces a SWF file (Flash). All of my intros and exits are done this way. If you would require further info feel free to email me. Perhaps Igor can have this in his todo list for PTE. I could be available to produce a custom intro or exit for anyone. Ralvis
