  1. Hi Lin, Very well done, really enjoyed it Colin
  2. Hi Lin, Thank you very much, I shall try that. Regards, Colin
  3. Could anyone assist or point me to a section on the forum or how to, if possible, make text revolve around a sphere. I have a picture which I have put into a sphere and would like text to start at one and and move in a curve to the other end. Any assistance would be appreciated. Colin
  4. Hi TT, Thank you for your comment. The lodge was awesome. I still have a lot to learn with PTE and now have the aid of Paint Shop Pro to help me along, so hope to improve. Colin
  5. Hi Jim, Thank you for taking the time to comment on my reply. The pictures I will be using for my AV I copy to a named folder and re-size them using Microsofy Office Picture Manager. The pictures keep the same name, which is fine. I then open up that folder in PTE and use them in their reduced size. In this instance, I opened up the folder where, yes they were direct from my digital camera, and re-sized them. I was then able to reproduce my AV with the re-sized pictures, reducing the exe file from about 71MB to 13,7MB. My original AV show was produced from pictures direct from camera. Best regards, Colin
  6. Hi Jeff, I resized my pictures by using Microsoft Office Picture Manager. This reduced them from average of 2,8mb down to +/- 380kb without losing any quality. The music is MP3. I projected my original on my second screen and opened up a new project on my main screen. I was then able to work from both screens "copying" my new project. This took a total of about 30mins. I did change my text in the version you saw...the only change I made. Thank you for the comments. Regards, Colin
  7. Hi Jeff, My apologies for the large file. I have condensed the AV to 13,17mb for you. I hope this will be ok. Colin http://www.mediafire.com/?jxazmmmwimj
  8. Hi Jeff, I realize that for us here in Africa, the file is large, though with my fast broadband, not so bad. I will have to resize my photo's and try reduce the size. Colin
  9. Hi all, In August this year, we flew from our home city of Durban to Johannesburg to visit friends and stayed at an eco lodge just outside of the city. The lodge was luxurious and lived up to its 4 star status. The lodge is situated in a game reserve and it was hard to believe that we were only a half hours drive from the bustling city of Johannesburg. I hope you enjoy this AV of the lodge. http://www.mediafire.com/?zvlzn2onzcn Colin

  14. After submitting my 1st AV and receiving some good constructive crits, I decided to put this short AV on and hopefully the experts will find some improvement. I hope you enjoy! Colin
  15. Hi Mark, I would also like to thank you for your words of encouragement and constructive comments, this is appreciated. What comes to mind in what you and Barry are saying is that after the viewer has seen the AV, they must feel that they were with you and would certainly like to have been there. I would like to mention that I viewed Maureens AV of Greenland. This was an excellent presentation and one I would like to aspire to, both in the photography and music. I keep going back to this presentation and viewing it and never tiring. This excellent AV has now made me want to go to Greenland myself. This is what one needs to present to the viewer and it certainly has installed some inspiration in me. Once again, thank you for your comments. Best regards, Colin
  16. Hi Barry, Thank you for taking the time to give me, a 1st timer some very good constructive comments. I do agree, cutting down on many of the shots and the repetitive photo's will certainly help in making the AV more interesting to the viewers. One must bear in mind that there is a world wide audience out there, and one needs to capture their diverse interests. I must advise you that a lot of these photo's were taken with some thought, even they were holiday photo's. At the time of our holiday, I did not have PTE and my keen interest has only come into being recently (as you can see by my joining date). Photography has always been a passion of mine or a hobby and I try to make the most of it when on holiday and I have travelled extensively. It is so good and encouraging to see so many helpful members on this website and a real pleasure to read the helpful hints and comments. I certainly will keep your comments in mind when putting my next show together. Once again, thank you. Best regards, Colin
  17. Hi Dave, Thanks for the comment, much appreciated.
  18. I have just posted 2 AV on Beechbrook, both being 1st time attempts. The one titled "Alpine Soaring" was taken from within my Flight Simulator X programme, so the scenery etc is not real. I tried taking the photos' early morning and late afternoon to get the affects of the sun rising and setting. The AV titled "Island of St.Lucia" was taken on our visit to St.Lucia in November 2008. I would appreciate any critics on both these presentations and I am sure these would assist in future AV which I have in mind.
  19. Hi Bill, I have a problem when having to reduce my picture to the required 120x80. When reducing the size, the picture is all out of focus. Also my pictures are in the JPG-bilder format and when I tried to upload, was informed that must be in JPG format. Please could you assist in this area......this is all new to me. Thank you, Colin
  20. Hi Bill, Thank you for your prompt reply. Will go to your link and upload. Will advise if any problems. Regards, Colin
