  1. These pictures were taken at a coastal resort town called Umhlanga Rocks,(pronounced um shlunga)situated about 20km from the City of Durban where I stay. The resort has excellent beaches and has become a haven for millionaires with stunning apartments, hotels and timeshare. I remember going there as a youngster when there was only one hotel and a few shops, many many years ago. Hope you enjoy. Colin http://www.mediafire.com/?97pueyx6tc4atmr
  2. This is the second slideshow I have put together using GIF images and the use of animation. Comments welcome. Colin http://www.mediafire.com/?ha22tcb9arqck9u
  3. Ralph, Excellent show and well put together, I enjoyed it. We will be in the West End next month on our visit to London and will be going to see Mama Mia. We always try fit in a West End show when in the UK. Thanks for sharing and look forward to your next one. Colin
  4. Hi Ralph, Thank you, and what you say is very true. I, like many others have been inspired by what members have produced and we can only learn from the magnificent audio visuals that have been shown on this forum. We are blessed that we have such informative members who are so helpful and I have learnt such a lot by reading all the helpful advise given by these members who are very willing to assist. PTE certainly is a wonderful product with so many possibilities, both for the professional and the amateur starting out with this type of work. Best regards, Colin
  5. Mick, A very good presentation. Also liked the window effect. Your last slide was superb. Thank you for sharing and your efforts. Colin
  6. David P, I obtained the graphics or objects from a programme I purchased called "500,000 Images". It comes with 4 CD's and contains everything you require to include in your web site or presentations. The images and hundreds of photos' can freely be used by the purchaser. In order to split the images, I used a programme called "Photoscape" which Lin Evans mentioned some time ago and is freely available on the internet by downloading. It has some good features in it. I watched the Youtube video of dance squared and it is amazing what one can do with squares and triangles. I am sure all this can be achieved in PTE. Regards, Colin
  7. To all that commented, thank you. This was a test for me and I intend to pursue this further and experiment. Peter: Thank you for your advise. I will this evening go back to my test file that I made and try out your suggestions. It is amazing what one can produce in PTE with a few objects and imagination. Colin
  8. I have attempted to put together a show consisting entirely of GIF images and using animation, something which I have not done before. This is really just a test for me and for all those expert critics out there, you could have a field day. I would appreciate constructive criticism from the experts and any others who would like to contribute. My main problem was with the transitions. You will note there is a lot of jerking and the transitions are not smooth. Please note that I have posted this to learn from this experience and maybe others could learn as well. Looking forward to feedback!!! Colin http://www.mediafire.com/?5gaakzc7ei7kaah
  9. Lin, My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I am sure Sherry is now at peace and in safe hands. Respectfully, Colin
  10. An excellent production, and good photography. The detail was very good as was the lighting. Thanks for sharing, Colin
  11. Paul, A very nice show and was amazed at the condition those "old birds" were in. Thanks for sharing. Colin
  12. Daniel, Enjoyed your show, agree with Ken, the music was perfect. Nice use of animation. Thanks for sharing. Colin
  13. TT, Thanks for your kind comment. You are right when you say it can be winter all year round in Scotland. For us from South Africa, it was a joy to see the snow and just after those pictures were taken in Cairngorm, it started to snow. We were so absorbed in the moment, that we missed the last bus back down to Cairngorm and we had to in desperation call a taxi, which cost us 47 pounds. This was part of the experience and despite this, we enjoyed our visit. Colin
  14. Ken, Thanks for your comments. The weather was not too kind to us and it was December, the middle of winter. Colin
  15. A slide show that was put together some time ago after our visit to the Uk when we paid a brief visit to Scotland, the home of my ancestors. These photos' were taken with my Sony digital camera which did not have any fancy settings etc. http://www.mediafire.com/?bsbnzbpqh6ysb43
  16. Ken, An excellent show and good use of animation. Enjoyed the music. Well done. Colin
  17. To Ken, Maureen, Rick, TT and Daniel, thank you for your kind comments. I am looking forward to achieving my next goal by going up in a hot air balloon in September when we are in the UK for a visit. Hope to take a lot of photographs which I will put on the forum. Colin
  18. This is an A/V which I put together to illustrate my goals which I have set to achieve in my life time. The presentation is a mixture of my own photographs and pictures obtained from the internet. Maureen(Lakelandlass), one of my goals will be of interest to you. I hope you enjoy. http://www.mediafire.com/?kccd6ek88o0zc1u
  19. Maureen, Once again a wonderful presentation, really enjoyed it. It is amazing what can be captured through the lens of a camera, and you sure know the art and technique of capturing scenes which the ordinary person would just not think of looking at. Well done. Thank you, Colin
  20. Hi Maureen, Thanks so much. We often go there as it is so peaceful and we always visit the restaurant and have lunch. The rose garden surrounds the restaurant and sitting outside gives you a sense of being in the country. My late father really enjoyed visiting Heritage Market, just wandering around and popping in to the various shops and chatting to the owners who are all so friendly. Our visit this last Sunday, when I took the photographs, brought back many memories. Best wishes, Colin
  21. Hi Ken. Thanks. As I said, was just some fun in putting the show together. Bet you did not recognize me in the school photo, we were all young then...those were the days. Colin
  22. Thank you Ken and Bill for your comments. The fragrance certainly was evident around the garden. Bill: I do not seem to have a problem with the fade out of my music when played on my PC. I do not know if any other MAC user has experienced same as you. Anyway, glad you enjoyed. Colin
  23. I put together this presentation some time ago after watching a tv programme on time travel and how an american professor has been working on "time" and travel. I must emphasize that this was put together for fun and the slides have all been taken from the internet, except for 2 which are old photos' of mine. 24. Hi Eric, Nicely done. You cannot beat those oldies (the movies) that is. Colin
  25. Hi Eric, Thanks for your comments. Gosh, normally I check for spelling and capitals. This one I rushed to finish after getting back from work, so a slap on my wrist. Thanks very much. Colin
