  1. As tomorrow is the 11th November, Remembrance Day, I decided to put together a short slide show in honour of the brave men and women who have fought in the world wars and subsequent modern day conflicts. This presentation was hurriedly put together this evening in order to have it ready on the day. I hope you enjoy. Colin http://www.mediafire.com/?5f64x58wsttmt73
  2. Thank you Ken for sharing this. "Lest we forget" Its amazing how people of the newer generation have forgotten those who sacrificed their lives for what we have today. Played the video, very good. Colin
  3. I am at present uploading a number of my slideshows to youtube which will be used on my website which is being developed at present. All the details have been completed, title, description, category etc and I am (I presume) connected to my account on Youtube. It shows that the slideshow is uploading to my account, however, the slideshow does not show up in the video section of my account. I am having to physically go to Youtube and have to use their upload facility to upload my slideshow. Can anyone please advise what the problem could be. Colin 3 November 2010: It appears no one can assist. No problem as I have just about finished uploading all my slide shows that I need for my website. I did try and look for previous posts on this subject and those I came across seemed to come to no definate conclusion. Colin
  4. Davy, A brilliant slide show and good use of transitions. Well done. The music was well chosen for this type of slide show. There are some lovely ladies there I see!!!!! Colin
  5. Andrew, I found your slide show very fascinating, having been a military man myself. It appears you must have had a very fascinating visit and I liked your choice of music. there certainly is a very good collection of items in the building itself and a lot have survived time. Thank you for sharing, Colin
  6. An excellent show and agree with Andrew. I too have viewed a number of your slide shows from your website, they are all very good. Agree with Barry, the flying bird does not go with a good show such as this. Well done and thanks for sharing. Hope to see more slide shows from you in the future. Colin
  7. Mick, Very good show, wish it were longer. Nice use of transitions. Thanks for sharing. Colin
  8. David, Thank you for your positive comments. I have saved plenty of slides created from your ambidaub programme for future use. Colin
  9. Mary, Thank you so much for your constructive comments. I have taken note of these and have straightened the horizons with the straightening tool and will re-do the ending frame transitions which I agree was not the best and in keeping with the show. I will post the revised version on Bill's website and if you wish, can view it there and advise me via PM what your thoughts are. Glad you enjoyed my trip to Turkey through my slide shows. The week we spent there was very enjoyable. Colin
  10. Thank you George, Ken amd MickP for your kind comments. George: Still consider myself very much an amateur. I learnt a lot from my late brother-in-law who was a professional photographer. MickP: hope you enjoy your Turkish Gulet sailing holiday. Turkey is a very fascinating place. Colin
  11. We experienced the most magnificent sunsets along the stretch of beach in front of our resort in Turkey. I was able to spend 2 evenings walking along the beach at sunset and was afforded the most perfect lighting and subjects. I hope you enjoy what I was able to capture. Comments are welcome. http://www.mediafire.com/?61voygsnw5wve7y
  12. George, Very nice presentation. I was also very fascinated with the Super Guppy. Would love to know how much it weighs and how it can ever lift off the ground, especially if it has cargo on board. Thank you for sharing what looked like an excellent days outing. Colin
  13. Very nice show Daniel, well done. I love the vintage model cars and you can see the owners take pride in them. Thank you for sharing. Colin
  14. George, Thanks for sharing. Gosh that guy sure was doing some loop de loops, and yes I did spot the guy attached to the plane. Had I been attached, my breakfast would have been all over the place. Hope you enjoyed the airshow. Colin
  15. Thanks to you David and for all your efforts. Well done. Colin
  16. Thank you Mary for your positive comments. I know you have made use of the programme and experimented from your posting on David's post about Ambidaub. I am sure you will make good use of Ambidaub with all its possibilities. Hope we get to see something from yourself. Colin
  17. Thank you to all who have commented on my show. I had so much fun putting the show together and was pleased with the outcome. Colin
  18. I selected a number of photographs and using symmetry, came up with some very interesting shapes and form. Thanks must go to DavidP and his ambidaub programme. Acknowledgement has been made at the end. Comments are welcome. http://www.mediafire.com/?9kktj9xhzu5uwon
  19. Bill, Thanks very much for advising the forum members. I will again start posting my slide shows to your web site as I have noticed that the number of downloads far outweigh the number of downloads from this forum. I do realize that the posting can only remain for 30 days if not uploaded from a personal website, but that is fine. I still have a number of slide shows to put together and will post them to your web site as the response from forum members to the slide shows uploaded recently has in my opinion been very poor and I do not mean only my slide shows. Thank you for your efforts, I am sure it is appreciated. regards, Colin
  20. Ken and George, Thank you for your kind comments. Gosh cannot believe how quiet the slideshow section of this forum is. Seem to have more guests visiting than members. Ken: Did see plenty of those hubbly bubbly pipes, but stayed away from them. A lot of the locals could have been "talibanners", and if there were any around, they must have been in hiding!!!! George: I took over 2,000 slides on our trip, many specifically for using in my AV's. Glad you and Ken have enjoyed what I have posted so far. Colin
  21. George, These are fantastic, some giving a 3D effect. Thank you for giving us a taste of this programme and look forward to seeing what DavidP produces. Colin
  22. We enjoyed our visits to Side (See-Day) and found the town to be so typical of the Turkish way of life and so laid back. We, like all tourists, encountered the typical fashion of having to barter and all items in the shops do not have any prices on them. You sure have to master the art of skillful bartering if you want to get a bargain. Many a time we were told to get out the shop due to us not agreeing to their price. We soon got used to this and were careful not to make eye contact or pick items up as this was an indication you were interested in buying. The harbour is fairly small and boats of all description can be found anchored to the jetties. I walked the length and breadth of the whole harbour area and found it to be so fascinating and was kept busy with my camera. The town has a rich history and I have attached a picture depicting this history. (Hope it can be read). 19mb 26 slides 3 mins 40 sec 1920 x 1080 Colin http://www.mediafire.com/?cfs4brugyb7u6f5
  23. George and Ken, Thank you for your kind comments. The show was an attempt to reflect some of the interesting scenery and the people in the area that we visited. Colin
  24. George, Very good short presentation and well put together. I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing, Colin
  25. George, Agree with Ken, the hills certainly take on a barren look. Reminds me of certain mountainous parts of the countryside here in my country. Have you thought of maybe a bit of pan and zoom for certain shots? Very nice attempt and thanks for sharing. Colin
