  1. Sorry, I missed this earlier. An excellent tribute to our war dead with very good photography from what I guess was a fixed position. Pity you did not get more response for this item.
  2. Downloaded it eventually after being bombarded with stuff to make me buy the full version of Deposit Files. Mediafire is much less of a hassle. Thanks for the Light frame anyway.
  3. Thanks Barry, I can see that to be able to add something to selected images but not all images could have lots of uses, but I bet Igor has enough on his plate.
  4. Thanks Xaver, that works a treat by setting Size to 100% and Offset to nil. You have saved me a lot of time on future projects.
  5. As an afterthought I sometimes want to add a border I have created in PS to all slides. This is a bit laborious pasting it to each slide in turn in the Objects box. Is there a quicker way, if not, could an automation feature be added at a later date?
  6. Hi Bert, I thought it was a very good show with some excellent photography, first show or not. A couple of points:- 1)I thought there were far too many mini-zooms which after a while I found distracting. I think mini-zooms are okay to liven up some mediocre photography but this is not the case with your work and 2) The upward pans were a bit quick and were out of sync. with the music. Hope this helps and I look forward to seeing more of your work.
  7. Ken, I have a sturdy monopod that has more than one use! Thanks for all your comments.
  8. Another brilliant show, Maureen, and well worth waiting for. The photography is just stunning. I can't think of anybody better when it comes to photographing mountains and lakes. Your work needs to be seen more widely. Loved the red berry shot.
  9. Hi David, I watched your show a couple of days ago and was not sure I should comment. But as I have been banging on a bit about lack of comments recently, here goes. I am far from an expert in A/V's but I didn't think your show lived up to the standard of your photography. There are some great pics of ships especially the views of the sails and rigging but they flashed before my eyes far too quickly. Also the tempo did not match your excellent background audio. I know there is keyboard control but that does not improve the quality of the show. I would have liked to see the photos on screen for at least 7 seconds and the transitions time increased considerably but depending on the particular shot. To keep the overall time down, some of the shots could be eliminated. The one zoom I remember was far to fast plus I am not sure of the red wording. Perhaps one specific suggestion. The green ship approaching harbour - why not slowly zoom in on the long shot and about half way fade to the close up shot and maybe fade to a zoomed-in shot of the ship going away then zoom out to finish. I hope you will not be offended by these comments and of course I will accept if others want to shoot me down but I do hope you will find this useful for future work.
  10. Following my comment on Wnsoft Forum, I though I should put this little effort up. It is the last (this year) in a series on National Trust properties in the South of England. Comments are welcome, criticisms are welcome, suggestions for improvements are VERY welcome. PC Download Mac Download
  11. What a jolly thread, good fun and informative especially as I thought everyone had hibernated. Shame there is not more A/V's being posted and a bigger shame that there are so few comments on the ones that are. As Delia Smith said " Lets be 'aving you"
  12. Hi Colin, A very poignant and timely slideshow and very well put together. Thank you for jogging all our memories.
  13. Blimey, I thought they were big enough on the computer screen. To see them on a 37inch would give me nightmares. Great show though.
  14. A lot of excellent photos in the 2d version and I need to get some 3d glasses to see how they work in 3D. I guess that the 10 per cent zooms will work better in 3d but I found them a bit irritating in 2d, although an excellent show overall.
  15. Hi Davy, I Googled " Burning Man Festival" as I had not heard of it. I browsed a good number of the photos on their site and I have to say I found yours far superior plus you have processed them into an excellent A/V. When next in Nevada.....
  16. Not understanding music technicalities, I think the music works well with the pictures. I agree about the continual change in formats and changes of sizes with in that format (aspect ratio). For the photographs on their own (which are great), the cropping is fine but for the show, it breaks the flow and can be confusing. I think it would be better to choose a fixed aspect ratio for the majority of the shots and blend other shots within this frame. The background frame does not work for this. Just my view but hope it helps.
  17. Hi Rick,I used to take a lot of transparencies in the old days and have got used to composing shots within the frame of the cameras (3x2) and now feel a bit precious about cropping something out that I originally wanted in. I do agree, it is not so good to have black strips down the side of the screen (I assume if fits vertically) and black strips top and bottom as I get on my standard monitor is not as bad. Anyway, I have cheated and re-sized the show without cropping and I think in this instance it works okay. Download HERE Thanks for the other commnets.
  18. I found this a very nice relaxing show - until I started looking at all the technical aspects of creating it. Well done.
  19. What a collection of awful weapons but photograped in your usual excellent way. And the audio is just brilliant if really spine-chilling. A very thought provoking presentation. Well done Andrew. Looked at the Flash presentation as well, not sure what's wrong with it but when you get it sorted perhaps you'll tell me how to do it.
  20. The penultimate in a series on National Trust properties in my area. Bodiam is certainly one of the most photogenic castles in the S.E. of England. Comments and suggestions always welcome. PC Download Mac Download
  21. Hi Greg, I would guess you had three things in mind when creating this A/V: 1)As a memento for Patti and the rest of the hikers, and in this it works extremely well and I am sure they are all delighted. 2)As an exposition of the features of PTE and PS and your undoubted expertise at this. I will certainly be working on the curved window and floating pictures effect. Very good indeed. 3)As a record to show others of the beauty of Lake O’Hara and Patti's photos are excellent for this purpose. But this is where, I think, it gets difficult to incorporate this with items 1 & 2. I know it must have taken ages to do this show but I would like to see a separate show cutting out some of the effects especially the rotating images (fading them in would work fine), and dropping some of the group “holiday snaps”. Just my views from a far less experience A/V’er in the hope they will generate some interest. Ps. Barry, good point about Audio-Visual – I’ll get my website changed.
  22. Judging by recent activity, comments on this thread seem to be about average.
  23. Thanks for your comments Roger and I will have a think about the pop ups but I wanted something to sync and emphasise the sudden chord in the music. I'll try and do something else. Two projects on the go - Bodiam Castle but not sure I have enough content plus Stourhead but want to get back for some Autumn shots. voiceovers, maybe but not my voice.
  24. I don't understand why an abstract show involving shapes and colours should not be worthwhile and why David's program would not be a help in this.
  25. David, I think your show was really fascinating and in the hands of someone really creative (not me!) offers endless possibilities. I'd love to see a similar show with perhaps a few more base images. I hope someone will pick up the challenge.
