  1. Hi Eric, Enjoyed the presentation and the music of Palestrina. The "savage" cropping was not obvious and I'm sure probably enhanced some of the shots, which stresses my thought that the crop tool is the most important in the bag. Mickp.
  2. Thanks, I will definitely keep my eye open for it. Have booked for the Proms again this year and our last concert is Monteverdi - Vespers of 1610. Sorry Peter for hijacking your thread. Mickp
  3. Hi Peter, Have watched your excellent presentation several times now both your embeded version in small screen and full screen on youtube and I do find the transitions are not reproduced as I'm sure you intended. Oddly, I used Gotomypc to get onto my home pc from a remote computer and when I tried to do some work on PTE and play it back, I didn't get any transitions at all! Obviously something goes wrong in the transmission. I love Allergri's Miserere. I have used the full version a couple of times on slideshows for personal viewing and never fail to choke up. Mickp.
  4. I really should have checked ALL the boxes to see what they did rather than asking silly questions but thanks very much mickp
  5. Hi Maureen, Wonderful landscape photograpy as usual and a great presentation with music to match. I guess there must be quite a bit of planning goes into these trips to find such excellent locations and viewpoints. Keep up the good work. Mickp.
  6. A great new tool and thanks Lin for the tutorial. However, I often like to start my music after the title slides. I know I can use Fade in or Start time to do this but this then misses the start of the music. I use "generate/silence" in audacity to achieve this but it would be great to have this added to the new tool. Apologies if there is a simple work round that i have missed, if so please tell me. Mickp
  7. Thanks for your input Ken. It was the going down that did for the legs espevially the Knees
  8. Our second visit to The Lake District, this A/V suppliments Cat Bells Experience. PC Download MAC Download Hope you enjoy, Mickp
  9. Hi Colin, Great photos but especially the animals and great music to go with them. I have a number of friends who have spent their holidays in your country and they all enthuse about it. Maybe I will get there one day. Re your visit to UK, I am afraid the Lake District will be rather busy during August but if you can put up with that it is a great place to photograph but wherever you go I look forward to seeing the slideshow. Mickp. ps Can't you do anything about the Vuvuzelas!!!
  10. I am using this slideshow to showcase my photos, so there is nothing special in the presentation and I have not been to fussed on simply showing portrait shots as they are. However the files for the slideshow are being downloaded from my web site (thanks to Lin Evans for the guidance)and I would be grateful if anyone has difficulty in downloading and viewing. Thanks in advance. Mickp. PC Download HERE MAC Download HERE
  11. I had a Kodak box camera using 620 film, those were the days, but never got shots like these. Even if ihsd the 8 x 10 or a 7 x 5 I still would not have got such good shots. Great presentation. Mickp
  12. Thanks for all your rapid response to my problem but would you beleive it - 30 minutes after posting I had a e-mail from Mediafire to say they had been talking to Virgin Media and V.M had found the problem and were now resolving it. Whether that was because I threatened to leave them I doubt but it is now up and running again. Lin - thanks for your input re the web site but as I operate this site on a "painting by numbers" basis, I shall contact my friendly guru and see what can be done. A/V coming up. Mickp
  13. I have uploaded a number of A/V's to Mediafire via my ISP, Virgin Media, but as of 13th May it stopped working. Virgin Media say they have problems uploading to "Rapid Share Sites" and (so the guy on the Help Phone says) don't know why and don't know when it will be fixed. I know I can use Beechbrook but this is not so convenient for my personal web site. Does anyone have any input or can suggest a site that might work with my ISP. Mickp
  14. Hi Jim, Superb photos, beautifly composed and exposed depicting enchanting islands. A couple of crits - one of the photos looked severly over-photoshopped - for a show of 7.5 mins it needed more people not just the lone weaver. Obviously not deserted islands so why not try tp show the life on them. Having said that I'd have been delighted to take those photos. Mickp
  15. I agree with John (JFA) but instead of (or in adition to) keyboard controls why not just increase the screen time of most of the clips. There is so much info in most of the clips and before it can be taken in the next clips intrudes. I love the music and did not find it at all morbid. A great show. By the way, I had great difficulty getting this download passed my Norton Anti-virus. Normally it gives me an option of re-instating .exe files but this one it just threw out and I had to disable Norton to get it saved. Once saved, I run a scan without problem. Any ideas how I can make Norton more accepting of of Mediafire .exe files. Mickp
  16. Yes it was using the Beta version and I got the same info from Hatter who came to the same conclusion that the ball's in Igor's court. Glad that this may have helped bring the bug to light as I guess that's what the Beta version is for. Mickp
  17. Hi Bill, I have asked Gareth (hatter) at The Digital Site to download the same file and he says he has had no problem with cut off. The last shot of the moat includes a credit roll dissapearing to the top of the screen and a fade out of sound and picture. I think you have probably got all the shots but don't know what is causing the cut off. Sorry. Mickp
  18. Hi Roger. A new regime must have got power this year, 'cos now you CAN take photos (no flash) inside most of the properties. The exception is if the furniture or pictures are owned by someone else and they asked for them not to be photographed. You will appreciate how much more scope this gives, so set the ISO has high as you can, get an image stabilised lens and off you go. Mickp.
  19. Hi Bill, Thanks for your comments. There are only 8 frames after the organ but includes titles and fade out. I have uploaded the MAC file again on this link:- MAC Link redo As I have a PC I cannot tell if my upload is complete perhaps you can let me know if it works this time Thanks Mickp

  21. Hi Maureen, Another inspirational show demonstrating how lucky we are to have such wonderful countryside in these Islands. A great choice of music also, which I beleive you took some time to source - well worth the effort. Inspired, I am off with my camera today. Mickp.
  22. Again, terrific slideshow and stunning photos. Did I notice a slightly longer screen time for the photos? You work is an inspiration - keep it up. Mickp
  23. Again, great photos Maureen. But again I would just like the photos to be on the screen a bit longer maybe cutting down the transition time a little. I know I can pause the show but that is not the point. Perhaps you do not agree as most of your shows have similar timing. Your view on this would be interesting. Mickp
  24. Hi Colin, Kevin MacLeod's "Sovereign" must have been used on countless slideshows as it's tempo and mood are exactly right and it works well on your show. I too have just purchased a Macro and am waiting for some more thinks to grow and will do a Macro Slideshow. Don't know what music to use though. I liked your Little Garden which was well seen and put together. I did think some colours on some photos were over-saturated - or maybe it could be my monitor. look forward to seing more. Mickp
  25. This is a downsized version of a show I put together some months ago. In my early days with PTE I used to use a lot of pan and zoom until I noticed most other people used none at all. Your views on the amount of pan and zoom in this presentation would be appreciated. Mickp http://www.mediafire.com/?mmy2eiyiium For Mac http://www.mediafire.com/?ukwudk4yjjh
