  1. Does anyone know if it will be possible to make mac compatible auto run CD's using PTE 5.7 on which the slideshows are menu driven? I posted this in a reply elswhere, http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....showtopic=10176 but I do need an answer quite quickly because of forward planning so please accept my apologies for the repetition. Regards Geoff
  2. Hi All I am so fed up with windows continually crashing despite all the cleanups and Defrags I am seriously thinking of going over to Apple Mac. Does any body have any experience of such a change over and how does PTE work in that environment? Mike
  3. I have recently cleaned up my hard disc and have removed all the beta version of PTE6 except the programme itself. Now I appear to have removed the Icons as well, how I do not know. My question is, can what I do be allowable and still retain the icons which give access to the programme. More importantly how do I restore them? Gilbert
  4. Hi folks, Can anybody answer this question: is it possible to use VMWare or Parallels while having Bootcamp with all this Windows drivers etc. on a partition? thanks, Henri.
  5. MacbookPro 15" OSX 10.4.11 3GB Parallels 5.0.9220 PicturesToExe 6 Doing my first project using PicturesToExe. The thumbnails of the slides appear with numerous, random, vertical lines. It happens in both the "Fullscreen View of Slidelist" and in the timeline view. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this and how to correct it? Many thanks Ken
  6. Hello dear friends at Wnsoft forum. Would be be a good idea to have a designated place to now put Mac Executable Presentations so they can be identified as for Mac before downloading? Thanks Bill
  7. Well, it seems I have been the one asking for much help here on this forum and have been graciously helped so much but this time I hope I can perhaps help someone else. Here is the problem I had and how I solved it: I just built a 30 minute presentation of our recent trip out West and had added 7 individual song tracks in "project options" and then saved it as a PC executable and it worked fine on my pc. Then I made one as a Mac executable and played it on my MacBook Pro and found two of the songs had horrible distortion and the others were fine. All were MP3 files. I removed them several times and re-ran them again through my sound editor only to have the same problem over again. I then removed all the sound tracks and made them into 1 continuous song in my song editor software and then re-installed it in my presentation as "one song" and now it works beautifully. Our trip was to Glacier, Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons and watching it on our Sony HD tv connected by HDMI from the MacBook Pro is astounding and just couldn't be better and the sound likewise is very dynamic. Igor and all others, thank you for such a great product! Bill
  8. I was wondering if anyone knows how far along a "stand alone" version of P2E for Mac is at this point. I want to replace my desktop pc with a MAC. (Would rather not set up a dual boot with Windows) I read on another form that Igor in April of 2008 said it could be 1 or 2 years which would put it into 2009 or 2010. I have made Mac executables with Beta 6 and they look great and run fine on my new MacBook Pro and especially when tethered to our Sony HD TV by the way of an HDMI cable. (New adapter now allows sound to exit by the UBS on the MacBook Pro and travel by way of the HDMI cable. Thanks Bill
  9. Hello dear WnSoft friends, Unfortunately I didn't get my other issue resolved mentioned here on this forum about not being able to make an .avi file on my PC and even after downloading and installing new codecs. Now here is another. I can download the Mac samples from Beckham Digital and they are stunningly sharp on my new MacBook Pro. JUST AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!! but again when I make a MAC Executable on my desk PC and then watch it on my MacBook Pro I see a flicker when clicking on the icon and then nothing else as far as the slide show running. What is interesting is that when I view the contents(files icons) of the sample shows which do run from Beckham digital they look the same as the file icons in the folder of the one I made. I am running Version 6 of PicturesToExe and Beta 16. Again your help would be appreciated. I realize this is a beta version but apparently someone at Beckham digital made it work. These problems have been puzzling even though my custom built PC is 3 years old and is still very fast with lots of free hard drive space and 4 gbRAM and besides that other slide show software I have runs fine. Actually the only thing that works for me with PicturesToEXE is making an executable program for my pc and that works great and looks also stunningly sharp on my Apple Monitor connected to my pc. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bill
  10. Dear fellows, Just finished my first project using "new" PTE DELUXE 6.0 BETA 20. Excellent! I have a blog and I use to put my videos and PTE slideshows in my blog, either running as AVI converted to MP4 files, or inviting people to download PTE EXECUTABLE files (which I previously upload to my server). I am used to do this only for PC users. Now, there is the possibility of MAC users run MAC EXECUTABLE files. Ok, I created it. But, instead of a simple and single file for me to upload (and viewers to download), as is the case for PC users, I got a folder with 2 folders inside, besides 2 more files. Folder "MacOS": containing "launcher" Folder "Resources": containing "English.proj" folder and "Viewer.app" folder, and "slideshow.dat" and "slideshow.icns" files. Inside folder "Viewer.app" there is "Contents" folder, and this contains more folders... Well, you know! My question is: what must I upload to server, and what must I tell my viewers to download? Is it as easy as for PC users? Another point: Sometime ago I remember that PTE was making first attempts to allow MAC users have access to PTE EXECUTABLE FILES, but it was not so sure that everybody could get good and reliable results. With this version 6.0 BETA 20 is it final concerning this subject? Every MAC user can rely on this possibility? I thank you very much for your help on this. José
  11. Hello, I recently had to get a new license for videobilder. I did so and videobilder works fine, but when I want to make a exe for MAC I get a message dat I have to renew my license for videobilder. I made a mac exe from a new sequense and that works fine part from the videobilder message. I converted older sequenses in Beta 8 and made a mac exe. When I click on the icons, only one sequense starts. The othere sequenses apeare in the dock but nothing hapens. Don't no why. iMAC 4GB ram, 256 mB video ATI, dual boot system with Leopard and Vista ultimate. use a network external HD for files i want to use in the two systems Sorry if my english is not good Luc M
  12. Just joined and a completely new to this forum and software. Last week I purchased the PicturesTo.exe Deluxe. I have also been using Proshow Producer commercially for several years and have been building DVDs for my customers and usually can work through the challenges. I have already built a test PicturesTo.exe presentation and was AMAZED at the detail on my Apple 23 inch Cinema running off my PC. Incredibly pin sharp!! I made a DVD and found it to be close in quality to Proshow Producer (not near as good a resolution as an .exe file on the computer) when watching on our HD TV but when burning the DVD it would hang at 99% and would lock up the PC but apparently finished the DVD since it would run on the TV/DVD player. That was one Problem but I also can't figure how to make a AVI Video file. It simple goes part way and a small window comes up and say "CatCantCreatfile". I also find when trying to make a H.264 video file that when done I can see the Quicktime Icon with MPEG-4 but it says 0 kbytes. I downloaded the recommended Media Player Classic HomeCinea and it wouldn't recognize the Quicktime file either. I was hoping to make a H.264 video file and then hoping it would also possibly play on my new MacBookPro. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bill
  13. Would it be possible for one of the MacIntosh users to write a quick tutorial on just how to export, save and zip up a PTE show for the Mac? I have friends who use Intel based MacIntosh computers and I would like to send a few of them some of my slideshows samples to see how well they work on the Mac but I'm uncertain of what to send them exactly. If I create a folder to put the MacIntosh output in, I get a total of 9 folders including the one I create as seen below: I assume all are needed, do I just zip the folder and which one?? Best regards, Lin
  14. Now using PicturesToExe Deluxe 5.7 Beta 3 you can create slideshows for Mac from PicturesToExe for Windows. Learn more: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....ost&p=66329
  15. Just to say we Mac users are really looking forward to the development of PTE for Mac.
  16. We're working on slideshow's engine for Mac and PicturesToExe for Windows will able create both kind of executable files: for Windows (EXE) and for Mac (APP). We need help of beta-testers who has Intel based Mac with Tiger or Leopard. I'll send created slideshow to see how it will play under Mac with hardware acceleration. If you want to join this beta-testing please add your post to this topic and specify model of your Mac computer/laptop, version of MacOSX and installed video card (if you know). P.S. full version of PicturesToExe for Mac will be the next step (not in this year).
  17. I have family members who have Macs, and are unable to open my PTE slideshows. I have also tried sending as a zip, without luck. When I make the show, I can only save as an exe. Is there anyway they can view my shows, easily? I really appreciate any input! Thank you!
  18. I'm using a (Intel) iMac with Bootcamp to produce my PtE-shows (with version 5.6) and that is a good combo. The iMac has 4 Gb of memory and a ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro card. The Macbooks is another story: only the Macbook Pro had a separate graphics card but unfortunately the Pro is much too expensive for my budget.... The Macbooks had shared cards and we all know that's no good solution for AV-shows. But recently I saw some specs of the new Macbook with a new type NVidia card (GeForce 9400M) with sharing in a new and different way. Can anybody tell me about using PtE on the new Macbook with Bootcamp(not the Pro). Henri.
  19. I'll probable move to Apple but I'm not sure about the choice macbook or Imac. I would know if the speed of recent macbooks is sufficient for PTE and what are then the conditions (use of bootcamp or other loader), Windows version...My intention is the use of bootcamp and Windows XP. Now for presentations by friends and family I haven't a fast laptop but I use a cheap multimedia box (99€) of WD "WDTV" . My AV presentations are created with “HD video for PC and Mac” 1920x1080 high quality. The results are superb and reach almost the exe file quality. I reduce the size of the used slides to the minimum, otherwise pan&zoom isn't smooth any more. My PC with a nVidia 8500GT is faster but without reducing the size of the slides I've got shaking pan&zoom too. All hints to guarantee smooth pan&zoom are welcome! Regards,
  20. I tried to get help from the help pages of the PTE site, but never could pass the security code request... My request is as follows : I have installed PTE in a BootCamp partition on my Mac. I had to uninstall it due to insufficient partition space. This led to the loss of the program and I am unable to reinstall it. I lost the program and only have the key you mailed me. What should I do ?
  21. Try a trial copy of this and let us know how it works for you: http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/ Lin
  22. I want to produce a Slideshow to run on an Apple Mac. I tried using PTE 5.6 to produce a HD MP4 but the results are embarrassingly jerky. I see that others in the forum have the same problem. The results are equally bad on both a PC and a Mac Pro. Any suggestions as to how to produce an acceptable show to run on an Apple Mac ?
  23. I am a pc user, but many of my customers own Macs...is there any software avail. that will let me produce a slide show that can be played on a mac?

    Mac version of P2E

Hello Igor and company, I know you guys are working hard on updates for the PC version and working towards a Mac version of P2E. However, I was curious if there is any updates on the progress of the Mac version. I currently use P2E on my PC, but my main computer is my Mac and I would love to have something like P2E in a native Mac app. The Mac users are sorely in need of a great slideshow program. Fotomagico is nice, but its lacking in many areas. I know I can install Windows on my Mac, but thats not why I went with a Mac. So do you have any bones you can throw us Mac users while we wait. I promise not keep bothering you, but an update every once in a while would surely make things better. Thanks.
  25. I have a client who wants a screen saver and he is a MAC user. Can pix2exe make the screen saver for a MAC user? If so how do we get them to recognize it? If not any recommendations? Thanks, Al Berger
