It could have been more by using repetition and other obvious strategies to raise the number. Previously the box to tick was visible, now you have to remember to open the section to allow the reply box to be activated. It's a general option which applies to each topic you participate.But in the same time you can choose for each topic individually to "watch the topic" / "stop watching the topic" (button on the top right).
