Mike2003 Posted Wednesday at 07:58 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 07:58 PM I would like to add a mask to an image but would like to pull each corner of the mask into a point on the image which whilst rectangular is asymmetric. Can this be done? I have looked in the help file and the forum, maybe I have searched using the wrong term. Any suggestions would be helpful. I want to map a video image onto a building where the building is asymmetrical partly because I have used a wide angle lens. Quote
jkb Posted Wednesday at 09:27 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 09:27 PM Hi Mike, You need to use the 3D rotation to adjust it. I have used 3D movements X, Y & Z to correct converging verticals. It may not be as accurate as doing it in something like Photoshop, but with some trial & error you can get it near enough. Jill 2 Quote
Mike2003 Posted 19 hours ago Author Report Posted 19 hours ago Hi Jill, thanks for reply, that's what have been doing and have been tearing my hair out, its very much trial and error as you say and its still not quite right. I was wondering if had missed a more elegant and user friendly option. Mike Quote
Bad Dancer Posted 15 hours ago Report Posted 15 hours ago Hi Mike, There is no "Free transformation" function in PTE, and the layer changes the side lengths proportionally when zooming. You can cut a hole in a third-party image in a photo of a building, say in Photoshop, and add your photo or video with an underlying layer. You can also create a white mask of the desired size and shape in Photoshop and place it as the top layer above the photo of the building, in this case you can add a shadow. An example of applying a mask from a video: 2 Quote
AleAle5025 Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago Bad Danser. Hi! You have attached the logo to ant. Using PTE AV Studio or After Effects. Good job. Quote
jienense Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago If the problem is that you don't have Photoshop, you can do it in GIMP, which is free; you can even create the mask with the current version of Paint, which supports multiple layers. Mask with paint 1 Quote
Bad Dancer Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago AleAle5025. Hi! Thanks for the comment! Yes, the video was made in After Effects. This is the finished video that I inserted into the PTE project. In PTE, it is difficult and time-consuming to do this, save the video as a sequence of frames and move the added file manually in each frame. Quote
