  2. Yes, there aren't many other options; creating an outline in PTE doesn't look quite right (it should be possible to remove that blurring). What has improved is compatibility with PSD files: you can now edit text directly, moving between PTE and Photoshop.
  3. Very little has changed in this area since I did the original Style. I still think that the best way forward is the way that I did it i.e. Photoshop. DG
  4. I’d like to add a few more points. Given the compatibility with PSD files (see the last slide), I believe the shadow (outline) feature in version 12 needs some adjustment; when you increase the size—for instance, to 5—it results in an unnecessary blurring effect. Regarding @meadjm’s suggestion to duplicate the text multiple times while varying the angles: I don’t see any improvement in terms of the blurring that occurs. Since the distance is set to 0, changing the angle makes no difference—though it does help with the thickness. https://www.mediafire.com/file/nnbqga5s1wt2ygw/Texto+Fuego_Oct16-2026_9-24-38.zip/file
  5. You can also achieve this natively in PTE without an external editor. Simply create the text in PTE and duplicate the Drop Shadow (using the Ring preset) four times at different angles to produce a sharp, tight text stroke. I used version 12 to create this style. Mount Etna2.ptestyle

  7. Still learning PTE AV Studio, but liking what I can do with it so far. I have it installed on a Windows machine as well as a Mac and notice a difference when using the mouse wheel to scroll. A furth enhancement is that I have and use a Logitech MX Master 4 which has a horizontal scroll wheel by my thumb. (Works great with Lightroom Classic). Sorry for this long explanation of my experience, but here goes.... Mac... When the cursor is within the file list, I can scroll with two fingers; moving up and down. Scrolling left or right does nothing. When the cursor is within the slide list, similarly, I can scroll left and right through the slide list and scrolling up and down does nothing. It depends on where the cursor is whether I scroll up/down or left/right. That is how I expect it to work, and it does. When I try scrolling using either the vertical or horizontal scroll wheels on the mouse it depends on what the last action was, as well as where the cursor is located. If I use the trackpad first to scroll up/down through the file list, then then vertical scroll wheel scrolls through the file list, as long as the cursor is within that area. The horizontal scroll wheel does not scroll through the slide list even if the cursor is within the slide list area. I first need to use the trackpad, with the cursor within the slide list, then the horizontal scroll wheel will scroll, as long as the cursor is within the slide list. Once I scroll through the slide list, I then need to use the trackpad to scroll through the file list before I can use the vertical scroll wheel on the mouse to scroll. I was expecting the scrolling on my mouse to work the same as the trackpad; depending on where the cursor is located scrolling vertically through the file list, or horizontally through the slide list. I have my MacBook connected to an external monitor and it's a bit of a hassle to have to reach to the trackpad to be able to then use the mouse to scroll through the particular list (files or slides). Windows... I can scroll using the vertical mouse wheel through both the file list and the slide list. It depends on where the cursor is (either on the file list or the slide list.). The horizontal mouse wheel does not do anything. I'm not sure if it is supposed to. I'm not too worried about the Windows experience as my main driver is the Mac. But, I wanted to see what differences there are between the two versions. Thanks for reading through this lengthy and convoluted attempt at explaining my situation. Am I missing something in my Mac setup? Or, is that the way it is supposed to operate? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  8. Thanks Jill. It is the same on Mac; the little floppy disk changes colour based on the save status. I had not noticed it before and will use that indicator. Other Mac apps use the black dot in the jelly bean to identify save status and I'm used to looking there.
  9. Thank you Dave I got the slidestyle to work. I also found lots of ways to change it up for different effects. Sorry I got the wrong author though. I think this style was made for version 9 but not sure. Rosemary

  11. Hi, Thanks for your message. We've added this idea to our TODO list.
  12. I assume it is the same on Mac as in Windows, in PTE the little floppy disk icon is grey when saved and blue when not saved. You can position this icon where you want it in Settings, Preferences. Jill
  13. Rosemary, I believe that this was something that I developed and Lin modified. The Text, in this case, is made in Photoshop and introduced into the Mask in PTE. It might even have been before it was possible to introduce video into the mask! It is not difficult and with the ability to use Video would be more realistic. I will have a quick search to see if I still have it. DG P.S. Here is my original Style...it can be probably be done more easily now. Text - See Through.ptestyle P.P.S Try this, change the "Video or Image" element in O&A for your own choice. To move etc (the whole thing) use the FRAME. Mount Etna.ptestyle
  14. When using many other Mac apps there is a small visual clue in the top left corner of the app to show that the open file is in an unsaved state. When the open file has been edited but not yet saved, there is a black dot in the middle of the "Close" jellybean (see image). Once the file is saved, the jellybean turns to solid red. I've become used to seeing this visual clue to quickly determine if the open file needs to be saved. I suspect this small suggestion likely requires many hours of coding to implement.
  15. You are correct, Jill and I often change the text used in slidestyles. Unfortunately I just don't see how I can do this with this slide style. Thank you - Rosemary
  16. I don't use SlideStyles, but would have thought you could just apply the Style & then go into O&A & amend the Text there. Jill

  18. Hi, I am attempting to make a slideshow about Mt. Etna and I thought that a slidestyle made for Version 10 by Lin Evens (RIP) that has text strokes around a flame would be appropriate as an intro. My problem is that I cannot find where to change the text! Can someone help please? Rosemary Fire filled text.pte

  21. Works for me in Versions 11/12 https://www.wnsoft.com/en/blog/royalty-free-music/ https://www.pteavstudio.com/forums/topic/18786-free-music-sfx-resource-over-2000-tracks/ DG
  22. I can see how this would be great for rapid prototyping of apps but not optimized for speed like hand coded apps. Today I asked aistudio to make a HDR camera app. After a few minutes of typing and debugging it works. Definitely much faster than coding by hand. It must copy and paste various Java libraries into the app depending on what you want in your app.+ https://cleanshot.com/share/LH2jwqbr Tom
  23. When clicking on "get free music," a 404 "page not found" error appears.
  24. Hi, Welcome to the forum, and thanks for sharing your tool. It has some good ideas. Good luck!
  25. Hi Tom, A fun idea and an impressive result
  26. Thanks for sharing, Alex!
