  1. Hi,

PTE AV Studio 12 Pro (Beta) is available all members of this forum:

    Download

    For Windows: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pte12abc/pteavstudio-setup.exe

    For Mac: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pte12abc/PTE-AV-Studio.dmg

PTE AV Player for Mac: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pte12abc/PTE-AV-Player.dmg

A free license key for the Beta version: D206I-01ZKI-GH8S2-HSS8X-E7N7D

    System Requirements

    Windows 10 or Windows 11.
macOS 11 Big Sur - macOS 26 Tahoe (Apple Silicon or Intel chip).

    Important notes

You can keep your existing version of PTE AV Studio 11.0 and use both versions together. We recommend to untick an option “Associate .pte projects...” when you install a Beta version.

For new customers. If you purchase version 11.0 today or later, you'll get a free upgrade to a final version 12.0 when it's ready (in March, 2026).

We continue to work on version 12.0 and plan to add new features and new slide styles before the final version.

What's New in PTE AV Studio 12 Pro:

    Sound Object
Create impressive slideshows and AV shows with impactful sound effects. The new Sound object lets you play short audio files to enhance your slideshows and AV shows. Add whoosh sounds for fast transitions, subtle clicks when images appear, or any other short audio effects that bring your slideshow to life. Adjust volume for individual video clips and sound objects with precision.

    Voice Recording on Mac
Mac users can now record voice-overs directly in PTE AV Studio without external tools.

    Slow-Motion and Video Speed Control
Take complete control over video playback. Adjust video speed using key points - speed up, slow down, or freeze the action exactly where you need it. Insert pauses inside your video clips to emphasize key moments. The new frame interpolation creates smooth slow-motion effects by blending frames together, eliminating jerky playback when slowing down your footage.

Modern Video Formats and AV1 Encoder
Create content for social media and the web. PTE AV Studio 12 adds full support for vertical video (9:16 for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels) and square format (1:1 for Instagram posts). New resolutions including 2560x1440, 1080x1920, 720x1280, and 1080x1080 cover all modern platforms. The "Auto" resolution preset automatically matches your project settings for quick exports. The revolutionary AV1 encoder produces videos up to 50% smaller than H.264 while maintaining the same visual quality - perfect for web publishing. The improved Video Export interface with "Show/Hide Advanced Options" keeps things simple yet powerful. The "Fast decode (web)" option creates optimized videos for quick loading and playback on your website. You can even pause video encoding and resume later.

    New Creative Effects
Bring your slideshows to life with stunning visual effects. The Dynamic Gradient map creates color transformations and artistic looks. Chromatic Displacement map adds glitch effects and distortions for modern, eye-catching visuals. The Instant speed modifier disables interpolation between keyframes for snappy, precise animations. Blur and Unsharp mask can now be adjusted separately for parent and child objects.

Quick Search. New Slide Styles and Transitions
Find the perfect slide style or transition instantly. Type a keyword and PTE AV Studio will show you matching results immediately. No more scrolling through hundreds of options - just type "zoom", "push" or "fade" and get what you need.
New transitions: Spots, Push Smooth, Rotating Linear Wipe. New slide style: Zoom Out with Fade.

    Faster Project Backups
Backup your projects 2-3 times faster. The Create Backup in ZIP command now supports multiple files with the same name in different folders. Save precious time when archiving large projects with hundreds of high-resolution images and video clips.

    Other Improvements

    • Export Slides to Images can now include transition effects
    • Improved audio/video synchronization and smoother playback for variable frame rate videos
    • HDR video support (Rec.2020 and HLG color spaces)
    • Smaller executable show files (reduced by 3 MB)
    • Transition group expand/collapse state is now remembered

P.S. Click the "Follow" button at the top of this page to receive notifications about new Beta releases.

  2. Completely uninstalling any program with its settings usually means deleting all user files and settings associated with that program.
We'll work to improve the stability of PTE AV Studio on Mac so users don't have to worry about fixing frozen app. It's a rare case, but we'll do our best to fix it.

  3. Hi Mike,

By default, user slide styles, custom transitions and templates are located in these 2 folders on your Mac:

    /Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/PTEAVStudio/Templates
    /Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/PTEAVStudio/Styles and Transitions

You can check PTE AV Studio > Main menu > Settings > Preferences. Templates tab for exact path to these folders.

I remember from your previous post on the forum:

Got there in the end by pure cussedness . Used Clean my Mac ran a full scan and also took out all my PTE folders. Then reinstalled PTE from the Wnsoft site and after requesting the serial number managed to get it to run.

Your program may have deleted the PTEAVStudio folder in Application Support. This likely deleted all the templates and styles as well. Sorry!

We offer a special uninstaller utility for PTE AV Studio on a Mac which allows to remove only configuration and keep slide styles and templates:

    https://files.wnsoft.com/pteavstudio/RemovePTEAVStudio.app-11-0.zip

You can change a location of StylesAndTransition folder and Templates folder in PTE AV Studio and make backup of these folders.

  4. Updated version of PTE AV Studio 11.0.19 is available for PC and Mac

    Download: https://www.wnsoft.com/pte-av-studio/download/

    • Improved YouTube compatibility for 30p videos. Previously, YouTube might have detected them as 29p with dropped frames. 60p is still recommended for smoother playback.
    • Fixed an issue in Timeline mode where applying a slide style could unexpectedly alter the duration of following slides.
    • Improved compatibility for macOS 26.

About window shows: 11.0.19 Build 3. It's the same build as previous Beta version.

(Google Translate) Hello. I've been having a problem since yesterday. When I click on the Styles and Themes tab, the computer thinks for a moment, then crashes the program and I have to restart it. What could be the problem?

    Hi,

Please translate your messages into English. You can use Google Translate, for example.

Let me know - do you have a PC or Mac?

Check an exact version of PTE AV Studio in the About window. If it isn't v11.0.18, I highly recommend to download and install the latest version from WnSoft website:

    https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/download/

If it doesn't help, restart your computer and try again.

  6. Hi,

Sorry, I missed this topic earlier.

Firstly, I have created several styles.  The duration is 3.5s with a transition time of 0.8.  When I apply the style directly to an individual slide, it works fine and the duration is set as expected.  However when I include the style in a theme, the transition time of 0.8 is correct, but the duration is set to 4.3s  - As 4.3 is the sum of 3.5 and 0.8, I assume that I've set something wrong. What do I need to look at to get this to work?

If you selected SEVERAL different slides and want to apply a slide style (which requires 1 image) WITHOUT changing the slide order, you need to check the "Keep slide order" option in the Slide Styles window before applying the style.
Also I recommend you apply slide styles in the mode of Slide List (not in the Timeline mode).

I recommend for a new slide style (or theme) start a new project where you only have one or a few slides for that style. Delete any unused slides to avoid unexpected behavior with slide durations. If the planned style has 1 images (1 slide), keep only 1 slide in this special project.

P.S. Additionally, try Create/Apple Quick Style functions (in the main menu > Slide menu). It works within current session of PTE AV Studio and this function never changes slide duration or transition, it applies only slide animations with objects.

  7. This problem shouldn't occur because the slides are preloaded (3 slides forward).
Tell me, where are the files (images, video clips) added to your project located? Local SSD or HDD drive, external USB HDD drive, or network drive?
    What antivirus do you use?
What is the average slide duration (in seconds)?

  8. Tom, thanks for your suggestion. In theory we can add 15fps option.

In fact, video encoder in PTE is very smart. For this type of content a difference in file size between 15p and 24/30p will be negligible (around 20%). Just turn off the Hardware acceleration option for better compression. The encoder understand that it's the same picture with dissolving transition.

You can compare existing 30p and 60p options to check a difference in file size.

Thank you.  Why am I not seeing the HEIC files?

HEIC images are supported only in the Mac version. Not on Windows.

We plan to add full HEIC support in future.

HEIC is a very complicated format. It's based on Apple file container + array of HEVC videos (tiles) + meta information (color profile).

I'm new here and I have just started a project in PTE AV Studio on macOS 26.  I have many images from my iPhone in "heic" format.  When I browse them in the file list, the colors are all wrong.  I would appreciate assistance in correcting this.

    Hi,

Please try a new version on your Mac with macOS 26 Beta. Now HEIC images should be shown correctly:

    https://files.wnsoft.com/test/PTE-AV-Studio.dmg

This version includes only one this improvement. The About window shows v11.0.18 Build 4.

PTE AV Player (if you create shows for a Mac):

Hi, it looks like you're using Beta version of macOS 26 Tahoe - the final version has not been released yet.
I confirm this issue with HEIC images in the current Beta version. We're checking the code and will try to fix it before the final version is released.
You can wait the updated version or convert HEIC images to JPEG format.

  12. Roger,

I've sent you a personal message through the forum messenger, please read it. If possible, send me a screen recording.

In V11 we use newer version of DirectX 3D rendering.

I don't remember similar issue with video flickering. The most likely updating of Intel graphics drivers will cure this problem.
