  1. Completely uninstalling any program with its settings usually means deleting all user files and settings associated with that program.
We'll work to improve the stability of PTE AV Studio on Mac so users don't have to worry about fixing frozen app. It's a rare case, but we'll do our best to fix it.

  2. Hi Mike,

By default, user slide styles, custom transitions and templates are located in these 2 folders on your Mac:

    /Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/PTEAVStudio/Templates
    /Users/UserName/Library/Application Support/PTEAVStudio/Styles and Transitions

You can check PTE AV Studio > Main menu > Settings > Preferences. Templates tab for exact path to these folders.

I remember from your previous post on the forum:

Got there in the end by pure cussedness . Used Clean my Mac ran a full scan and also took out all my PTE folders. Then reinstalled PTE from the Wnsoft site and after requesting the serial number managed to get it to run.

Your program may have deleted the PTEAVStudio folder in Application Support. This likely deleted all the templates and styles as well. Sorry!

We offer a special uninstaller utility for PTE AV Studio on a Mac which allows to remove only configuration and keep slide styles and templates:

    https://files.wnsoft.com/pteavstudio/RemovePTEAVStudio.app-11-0.zip

You can change a location of StylesAndTransition folder and Templates folder in PTE AV Studio and make backup of these folders.

  3. Updated version of PTE AV Studio 11.0.19 is available for PC and Mac

    Download: https://www.wnsoft.com/pte-av-studio/download/

    • Improved YouTube compatibility for 30p videos. Previously, YouTube might have detected them as 29p with dropped frames. 60p is still recommended for smoother playback.
    • Fixed an issue in Timeline mode where applying a slide style could unexpectedly alter the duration of following slides.
    • Improved compatibility for macOS 26.

About window shows: 11.0.19 Build 3. It's the same build as previous Beta version.

(Google Translate) Hello. I've been having a problem since yesterday. When I click on the Styles and Themes tab, the computer thinks for a moment, then crashes the program and I have to restart it. What could be the problem?

    Hi,

Please translate your messages into English. You can use Google Translate, for example.

Let me know - do you have a PC or Mac?

Check an exact version of PTE AV Studio in the About window. If it isn't v11.0.18, I highly recommend to download and install the latest version from WnSoft website:

    https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/download/

If it doesn't help, restart your computer and try again.

  5. Hi,

Sorry, I missed this topic earlier.

Firstly, I have created several styles.  The duration is 3.5s with a transition time of 0.8.  When I apply the style directly to an individual slide, it works fine and the duration is set as expected.  However when I include the style in a theme, the transition time of 0.8 is correct, but the duration is set to 4.3s  - As 4.3 is the sum of 3.5 and 0.8, I assume that I've set something wrong. What do I need to look at to get this to work?

If you selected SEVERAL different slides and want to apply a slide style (which requires 1 image) WITHOUT changing the slide order, you need to check the "Keep slide order" option in the Slide Styles window before applying the style.
Also I recommend you apply slide styles in the mode of Slide List (not in the Timeline mode).

I recommend for a new slide style (or theme) start a new project where you only have one or a few slides for that style. Delete any unused slides to avoid unexpected behavior with slide durations. If the planned style has 1 images (1 slide), keep only 1 slide in this special project.

P.S. Additionally, try Create/Apple Quick Style functions (in the main menu > Slide menu). It works within current session of PTE AV Studio and this function never changes slide duration or transition, it applies only slide animations with objects.

  6. This problem shouldn't occur because the slides are preloaded (3 slides forward).
Tell me, where are the files (images, video clips) added to your project located? Local SSD or HDD drive, external USB HDD drive, or network drive?
    What antivirus do you use?
What is the average slide duration (in seconds)?

  7. Tom, thanks for your suggestion. In theory we can add 15fps option.

In fact, video encoder in PTE is very smart. For this type of content a difference in file size between 15p and 24/30p will be negligible (around 20%). Just turn off the Hardware acceleration option for better compression. The encoder understand that it's the same picture with dissolving transition.

You can compare existing 30p and 60p options to check a difference in file size.

Thank you.  Why am I not seeing the HEIC files?

HEIC images are supported only in the Mac version. Not on Windows.

We plan to add full HEIC support in future.

HEIC is a very complicated format. It's based on Apple file container + array of HEVC videos (tiles) + meta information (color profile).

I'm new here and I have just started a project in PTE AV Studio on macOS 26.  I have many images from my iPhone in "heic" format.  When I browse them in the file list, the colors are all wrong.  I would appreciate assistance in correcting this.

    Hi,

Please try a new version on your Mac with macOS 26 Beta. Now HEIC images should be shown correctly:

    https://files.wnsoft.com/test/PTE-AV-Studio.dmg

This version includes only one this improvement. The About window shows v11.0.18 Build 4.

PTE AV Player (if you create shows for a Mac):

Hi, it looks like you're using Beta version of macOS 26 Tahoe - the final version has not been released yet.
I confirm this issue with HEIC images in the current Beta version. We're checking the code and will try to fix it before the final version is released.
You can wait the updated version or convert HEIC images to JPEG format.

  11. Roger,

I've sent you a personal message through the forum messenger, please read it. If possible, send me a screen recording.

In V11 we use newer version of DirectX 3D rendering.

I don't remember similar issue with video flickering. The most likely updating of Intel graphics drivers will cure this problem.

  12. Hi Roger,

If I understood rightly, you observe this problem only in a full screen Preview and in the Mini Player (in the main window). Right?

Try to restart Windows to check if it helps to solve this issue.

    1. Please can you describe in more details - what exactly you see? Is it skipping frames during video clip playback (choppy playback)? Or some flickering on the monitor?

    2. Do you add video clips at HD 1080p quality, or 4K UltraHD?

    3. Try to open the Sample Project, included with PTE AV Studio. Browse the Main menu > Help > Open Sample Project.
3rd slide contains a video clip with a slow motion (a pelican bird). Do you see the same issue on this slide in this project?

    4. Tell me about a configuration of your PC (graphics card).

If this problem persists, I recommend to manually update drivers for your graphics card (NVIDIA, AMD or Intel).

P.S. Jill, thanks for your advices!

When I load my images from photoshop int PTE they are over saturated. Is there anyway to adjust the colour in PTE?

    Hi,

Are you using a monitor with a sRGB standard color space or an advanced monitor with a wide color space (Adobe RGB or P3)?

If have a standard monitor, try to add some test JPEG image with sRGB color space sRGB to your project and compare colors (with Photoshop).

You need to determine where exactly this issue occurs - with certain images or with all images.
