  1. PTE AV Studio 11.0.11 is available for PC and Mac

    Download: https://www.wnsoft.com/pte-av-studio/download/

Or use Auto Update feature: Main menu > Help > Check for Free Updates

    • Optimized work with a large storage of custom transitions.
    • Fixed problem with copying and pasting slides with custom transitions to another project.

Note: Auto Update function for Mac is available again. This function requires version 11.0.9 or 11.0.10 of PTE AV Studio. If you have older version (11.0.8 or earlier) download and install manually the latest version 11.0.11.

    - If I copy a slide with a custom transition from one project to another one (via the windows clipboard), the copied slide shows a simple dissolve (my standard transition) while in the slide options the original custom transition is indicated.

    - Maybe a related problem: On my system (Windows 10, PTE 11.0.9) the attached project shows a simple dissolve for slide 3, but in the slide options for slide 3, I see "Cube 3D".

    Hi,

We fixed this issue. Can you try a new Beta version?

I'm trying to add a copyright symbol (letter C in a circle) using the add text function in 'Properties' to a slide.  I have tried the keyboard sequence ALT+0169 which doesn't work and tried other variations too.  There isn't a copyright symbol in the Text Vector symbols within PTE. I am using a PC with Logitech  MX Keys keyboard which is small and some keyboard features are doubled up. Can anyone help please?

    Hi,

Try with activated NumLock key (when a green light indicator shown on the keyboard). Then press Alt + 0169. It should work for a copyright symbol and other symbols.

I see that in other apps it works even without NumLock key. We'll check the code, to consider this possibility.

  4. Some old apps still show small fonts even with adjusted Display DPI Scaling.

Try several compatibility options. There are located in Compatibility tab of Properties window for an app. Click right mouse button on app's shortcut and call a popup menu. Available compatibility options are explained in this tutorial:

    https://www.majorgeeks.com/content/page/how_to_change_dpi_scaling_settings_in_windows.html

  5. Hi,

You need to change Display DPI Scaling option in Windows 11 or 10.

By default it's 100%. PTE AV Studio supports this option, you can set 125%, 150%, 200%, 250%, or any custom value.
It will give large fonts in all apps, including PTE AV Studio.

    Watch this short video lesson:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OL3z_myklk

Please don't change text size in Windows (especially high values), because many apps, including PTE AV Studio will not work correctly with large fonts.

  6. Usually we add to a project photos shot in 3:2 or 4:3 aspect ratio. By default, the project in PTE AV Studio has a slide aspect ratio of 16:9, and we see black bars around the images on a 16:9 monitor.

There are 4 options to make the images fill the entire slide (screen):

    A. Click the Project Options button > Defaults tab. Tick the "Cover" option. Click the OK button.
Now all new images added to the Slide List or Timeline will occupy the entire slide (screen) without additional black bars.
This method requires the Pro version of PTE AV Studio.

    B. Select one or more slides and click the Styles & Themes button. Browse Image Category > Image - Cover Style. Click the "Apply" button.
Please note that this style will remove all additional objects (text captions) from the affected slides.

    C. Select one slide. Click the Objects and Animation button. Click your main image (usually the one selected by default) and press Alt+S (Option+S on Mac).
You can quickly switches between slides staying in the Objects and animation editor. Press F11/F12 or arrows buttons at the top-right corner of this window.

    D. Select one slide. Click the Objects and Animation button. Click your main image.
On the Properties tab, tick the Aspect Crop checkbox. And select "16:9" from the drop-down menu. Or choose any other aspect ratio you want.

    2. Publish/Export options that support transparency and of high quality (maybe PNG sequence? Prores?)

We consider this option for future. Thanks. PTE's engine can render a final video with a transparency.

Do you have calculations of resulting file size if we encode video in PNG format for HD or 4K? I guess it should be dozens of gigabytes.

  8. Hi Laszlo,

Thank you for your kind words about PTE AV Studio!

Usually all computer monitors work at frequency 60 Hz, when you watch a fullscreen preview in PTE or play EXE show, you see 60 frames per second for animations in your show. MP4 video created with 60p option produces the same visual result (60 frames per second).

You can see a difference between 30p and 60p videos in scenes with fast animations of objects (images or text) or transitions when you watch a MP4 video on a computer monitor.

Note, that if you watch a MP4 video on a TV, you may get a different result. Almost all modern flat TVs have special Frame interpolation function, it means that they automatically convert 30p video to 120p, and 60p to 120p. In this case, 30p and 60p videos look equally smooth on a modern TV.

So we just recommend to create MP4 video with 60p option.

One more thing. In MP4 video output, PTE AV Studio offers a special option - Motion Blur. I recommend to watch excellent video lesson from Barry Beckham to understand what result you may get with this option:
