  1. Hi Rosemary,

Can you send me your project where this problem occur?

If yes, please make a backup in a ZIP using a command from the File menu. And then upload to WeTransfer.com and send me the link.

Also let me know a slide number where this issue occurs.

  2. Hi Georges,

    I couldn't reproduce this issue in v11.0.8.

Try to uninstall current version of PTE AV Studio 11. And the reinstall v11.0.8 again.

Start a new empty project (using New command from the toolbar of File menu).

Add several slides (images). And try to choose Photo Flip transition.

    2. Do you use a custom default project template (for new projects) in the Preferences?

    3. You can try the following:

    Close PTE AV Studio 11.0.8.
Find a folder where custom styles and transitions are stored. Usually it's located in Documents > PicturesToExe > Styles and Transitions
ZIP this folder as backup copy and temporarily move to another folder.
Run PTE AV Studio. Check Photo Flip transition.

After checking, close PTE AV Studio, and return original Styles and Transition folder (delete an automatically created new Styles and Transitions folder, and replace it with your original folder).

  3. Hi Ken,

Thanks for purchasing the upgrade to V11 !

If you have already used V10, then the new V11 has almost exactly the same interface, we just added new features, effects, styles. No need to relearn everything from a scratch.

PTE AV Studio 11 works great on Windows 10, and also on Window 11, and even on Windows 7.
My PC at home uses Windows 11 and my desktop PC at our office has Windows 10.

    Ken,
    Rosy,
I'm impressed that you learn all new versions of our app. Your energy and desire to learn new things are worthy of admiration and respect.
I humbly hope that I will be able to do the same when I reach 80+ years old :)

  4. Hi Ken,

We reworked and improved Styles window in V11:

    https://www.pteavstudio.com/forums/topic/33520-new-possibilities-of-slide-styles-window/

Dave wrote you above about one of several improvements - "Keep slide order" option.

    2. Also we added a series of new built-in styles:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7Y5oKCeMSU

V11 includes many important improvements and new effects: https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/whats-new-11/
Text animations, directional Blur, blur with bokeh in real time, Displacement map effect. If you re-arrange objects, drag'n'drop with mouse cursor in the Tree of objects will save you a lot of time. See a full list of new features from the link above.

We believe and hope that all these improvements deserve 49 USD for the upgrade from V9 or V10.

  5. Do you see any difference in playback when your laptop is connected to power supply, or when it work from the battery?

Your laptop is very good in general. A possible problem can be with NVIDIA m1000 graphics. It's an old model (2011). Or drivers not updated correctly, not installed correctly.

I recommend to check for available new drivers for Nvidia m1000 graphics in Windows Update app. Or update drivers manually from NVIDIA website.

  6. This is due to the fact that the graphics/computing speed of the latop is barely enough for this project.

I've tested your project on our relatively old computer (2016 year) with GeForce 1060 and Intel Core i5-7400 processor. Playback is flawless in any mode.

  7. Hi,

    Sorry for the delay.

We've checked your project. Video clips are optimized and have optimal resolution (1920 x 1080).

On our PC your project play absolutely smooth. I'll check on Monday on another older PC.

    I have a Nvidia m1000 in an Lenovo p50

I think it explains a reason of this problem. Nvidia m1000 graphics was introduced 12 years ago.

Most likely there is not enough computing power of the graphics card for this task. Or perhaps the hardware video decoder is not enabled for some reason. Try updating your NVIDIA graphics drivers.

You can continue to use PTE AV Studio on this old laptop. Or consider buying a new faster laptop/PC.

    Hi, Igor

Yes, the problem occurs when I try to open earlier saved .pte project in PTE AV Studio on my Mac

By double clicking on a .pte project file on desktop

    iMac Retina 5K, 27 inch, 2017 Memoryn24 Go/ HD 2,12To

    macOS Ventura 13.4.1

    Hi François,

    Thanks for the details!

Desktop (and Documents) are special folders in macOS and have certain restrictions for access from other apps.

Try to save a .pte project to another folder, it would better to create a new folder in user's home folder for PTE projects.

Please let me know about a result.

UPDATE. I tried to save a .pte project into Desktop (folder) and then open it by double click in PTE AV Studio. No problem, even if I remove a permission for PTE AV Studio to access the Desktop folder.

  9. Hi,

Do you mean the problem occurs when you try to open earlier saved .pte project in PTE AV Studio on your Mac?

How exactly you open a project - inside PTE AV Studio by clicking Open project command from the main menu > File menu. Or by double clicking on a .pte project file in Finder?

    2. Where you save .pte project files? In Documents folder, or Desktop folder? Network drive?
We recommend to save project files in user's home folder on Macintosh internal drive.

    3. Tell me about configuration (model) of your Mac. And version of macOS.

  10. Gary,

On the same track, the previous audio clip cannot be shorter than the next audio clip. In case of such situation the editor highlights this audio clip by red color. It's the basic conception of PTE audio editor.

This case can be solved by using two tracks for each audio clip.

  11. Thanks for the sample project.

I see no problem with Fade In/Out in this project. Total duration is 18 seconds. Fade In is 10 seconds and Fade Out is 10 seconds.

I attach a screenshot below where I show 2 waveforms. Original soundtrack. And created MP4 video from your project with applied Fade In and Fade Out effects.

Also I attach this created MP4 video. Do you hear the same result when you listen to the project on your computer?

  12. Hi Tom,

    I checked these Google fonts.

Windows automatically creates synthetic bold and italic variants, and it works even in PTE.

macOS provides only regular version of these fonts.

Regrettably it's not simple task to create a bold variant of a font. It would take a lot of time for our team.

Maybe Apple will perform this task in future update(s) of macOS?
