  1. PTE AV Studio 11.0.5 is available for PC and Mac

    Download: https://www.wnsoft.com/pte-av-studio/download/

Or use Auto Update feature: Main menu > Help > Check for Free Updates (Windows only)

    • Fixed problem with reading some WEBP images.
    • Fixed problem with a small horizontal offset in text objects in EXE shows only. This problem appeared in v11.0.4.
    • Optimized storage of custom transitions. Slide Options and Project Options windows now appear much faster when the storage includes heavy custom transitions.

Mac version: Auto Update will offer to download and install manually the new update.

I use PTE AvStudio Pro 11.0.4 on a Mac mini with M1 chip running OS Monterey.

If I add Smooth Move to a pan or zoom, regardless of which key frame I add it to, the image jumps forward slightly (or other direction depending on the option), before continuing the pan or zoom.  Please see the attached example (.pteav) where the first image is without Smooth Move and the second is with Smooth Move applied.

I am probably doing something stupid but any ideas please?

    Hi,

For this task you need to use another modifier. Because you have the animation along one axis only (horizontal movement).

Click Add modifier > Animation Speed menu > choose "Smooth" or "Accelerate" modifier.
I recommend to assign this modifier for the first keyframe. If you need a pause before the animation, just shift the 1st keyframe on the timeline and place at the time point where you'd like to begin the animation.

"SmoothMove" modifier is intended for a case when you move an object on X and Y axes together. See the link above (Dave's post).

  3. Hi,

In general, saving a project in PTE AV Studio works similar to many other programs (e.g. text editors). A project file is saved to the folder you selected in the Save Project window.

After saving the project, without closing the PTE AV Studio, you can check in Explorer window whether the project file has been successfully saved in the folder where you expect it to see.

Probably by default Save window appears collapsed (a compact view) in Windows 10/11. You need to expand Save window to see more details what folder you choose for saving a project.

Usually you need to click only "Save" command, the project will be saved to a file which you earlier chosen (without a confirmation) for this project. If you call "Save As" command, PTE AV Studio will show you Save window and will ask you a confirmation to overwrite a project file (if you choose the same file name in the same folder). Save As command is required to save a copy of a project (to clone it, for example).

I have not encountered a problem where a previously saved document cannot be found.

Also we recommend to use a command "Save backup in ZIP" (in the Main menu > File menu) periodically. It guarantee that you will have a full copy of your project (the project and linked files).

Recently upgraded to PTE AV Studio 11 Pro (11.0.4). Animated text is offset to the right by a noticeable amount (4%-ish) when rendered in EXE - previews in O&A, Preview and rendered as MP4 are OK. Tried different fonts including Arial - same issue.

    Hi,

    Try a new version:

    https://www.pteavstudio.com/forums/topic/36614-pte-av-studio-1105-beta/

We fixed this problem with a font position offset.

Let me know about a result.

  5. Hi,

Thanks for the details and the attached project. I've downloaded the ZIP archive and removed the file (because it's based on the paid style of TheDom).

I observe strange problem with this style in PTE AV Studio 11. Please give us some time to explore this problem this week.

UPD. A quick advice. I see that this project/template includes WEBP images. Try to replace them with JPEG or PNG images. Probably it will help.

    Hi,

    Can you attach a screenshots?

Also please upload a test project - one blank slide with text object(s).

I created a simple test project and cannot see the problem:

  7. Hi Pascal,

    Thanks for checking.

Since version 11.0, the editor of custom transitions shows absolute paths to external files (images). However when you finish editing, the updated transition will contain relative file paths. You can check it in the exported transition (.pteeff file) or in the global storage.

    You'll see something like this:

    ImageName=%store%\Transitions\{34b38068-c94c-4e96-9d52-a8526ce617d9}\Picture.jpg

Or you discovered some problem with external images? Lost images in a transition?

  8. There are two alternative solutions.

Upload video to Vimeo. This service has less restrictions than YouTube regarding soundtrack. At least earlier.

Also you can upload to Google Drive and share the link.

Regrettably, we cannot increase file limit on Slideshowclub (currently it's 128 MB). Try to use Medium quality preset in PTE AV Studio to produce a MP4 video file. And untick Hardware acceleration option. It should vastly reduce a resulting file size.

I notice a difference in performance between version 10 and 11 regarding the choice of a transition effect. The response time is significantly  superior (by a ratio of 4 times higher) in version 11/Windows 10 version 20H2. This response time is felt when opening the window for choosing a transition effect and also when clicking on the OK button to validate the choice of transition effect. I have many custom transition effects, but they are just as numerous in V10.

    Pascal.

    Hi Pascal,

We optimized PTE AV Studio to work faster when the storage include many heavy transitions.

Slide Options and Project Options should appear much faster.

Can you try a new test versin? It's 11.0.4 Build 2:

hello, I noticed a rather strange fact in version 11 (RC2 and RC3).
In O&A, the opening of the "slide option" or "project option" windows takes about 3 seconds while with version 10.5.8 and earlier the opening was practically immediate. It happens on 2 computers (win 10 and win 11).
Does this only happen to me?
