  1. In the next versio 5.1 VideoBuilder will accept earlier created MPEG2 files. In fact VideoBuilder is ready for future beta version, we're working on main code of PicturesToExe now.
  2. Jason, You wrote: But I didn't say that any computer can play ideally EXE file with slideshow created in v5.00. Because Pan/Zoom effects requires modern video card. I wrote in the press-release: You can create DVD in PicturesToExe on any computer with Windows. In "Sample slide shows created with PicturesToExe Deluxe v5.0" section of press-release I write for some sample slideshows: In this phrase of press-release: And it's also true. I know that slideshows can be with or without Pan/Zoom effects and requirements of slideshows with Pan/Zoom effects higher, but both kinds of slideshows will play. Recommended PC for Pan/Zoomed slideshows described on our website and Help file: Any competition product which creates and plays slideshows in real time with same high quality will has same system requirements.
  3. John, Thanks! It's important that link contained "slide show" phrase, or "DVD slide show", or "photo slide show". Because new people don't know about PicturesToExe yet and they search for such programs in Google typing above described keywords. Your links will help to raise PicturesToExe in results of Google searchs.
  4. Dear friends, If you have own website, please help us promote PicturesToExe and put the next text with a link. 1) Please define a page on your website where you want to place a link to our website. 2) Insert our HTML code (choose one variant below) into your HTML code. Please don't change highlighted text and address of the link ("photo slide show" and "DVD slide show"), only modify text description around this link as you prefer. Please post a reply in this topic and let us know address of you webpage where you added our link. It will help new people learn about PicturesToExe. Thanks in advance! Make the <a href="http://www.wnsoft.com/" target="_blank">photo slide show</a> with PicturesToExe. PicturesToExe will help you create <a href="http://www.wnsoft.com/" target="_blank">DVD slide show</a> from your photos.
  5. A reply from GriSoft (AVG Antivirus). The problem fully solved now.
  6. Jim, Thanks, I've sent a letter to Kaspersky's Lab and just received their response: I hope GriSoft (AVG Antivirus) also will solve this false detection soon.
  7. I just sent email to Grisoft company (AVG).
  8. AVG mistakenly marked EXE files created with old version 4.40 as a virus. Of course, no viruses there. I'll contact to AVG to ask them fix this problem.
  9. Thank you for letting me know about it!
  10. Pedro, Yes, an additional option for more strong encryption for those authors who want to protect their images and music files. Optionally, of course. In v5.1 or v5.2 I really don't like many copyright prohibitions/limitations and etc but sometimes it's necessary. But please take in attention, that any protection can be removed by hackers if they will be strongly interested to hack a slideshow. HD-DVD/Blu-Ray is a good example of this rule.
  11. I feel we can't publish such decompiler tool. Some authors of slideshow will not like this idea. Probably we will add global option to PicturesToExe and authors will decide allow or prohibit unpacking of their slideshows from EXE to images and music files.
  12. Dominique, Yes, there is such an internal tool (with a series of manual steps). Many times during beta-testing I had only EXE file with a slideshow and had to find and solve some problem in beta version of PicturesToExe.
  13. Thanks for good idea. We'll write screensaver installer and PicturesToExe will able create a final package with a screensaver ready for end-users.
  14. Dominique, Thanks, the interesting effect! I would like to suggest an idea for a next improvement: Because text objects are very huge at first keypoints, PicturesToExe renders it with highest quality. In this slideshow a text object on 1st slide has 7429x1309 pixels of size in memory. It well loads CPU and video card. Probably it would be better untick "Auto quality" option for these text objects and manually adjust parameter of quality (see resulting width/height values in pixels in a status bar). Say "Quality: 300" = 2788x488. It will work much better even on modern video cards. And text will looks better, more smooth. If text still looks too sharp, try add one more text object and use it on a final stage when text has a constant size.
  15. By the way, you can convert any EXE file of a slideshow created with PicturesToExe 5.0 to a screensaver just rename it to a SCR file. Slideshow will see that it's SCR file and will work according behaviour of a screensaver.
  16. Our programer discovered similar problem at his home PC with Windows Vista and new ATI Radeon video card. After installing of newest drivers from ATI web site, encoding of DVD-Video disc took same time as under Windows XP.
  17. danny, Please submit a new support ticket on our web site: http://wnsoft.com/support.htm You will able get your license key via our web site.
  18. I just sent you request in PM message.
  19. You can also burn DVD-Video disc in PicturesToExe Deluxe.
  20. We sent you special test version of VideoBuilder. Please let us know about result.
  21. Andrew, I think you're right. I'll try to improve this moment in the new version. Also in 5.1 or 5.2 I plan more closely integrate timeline slide modes (to be able perform same operations in both modes). Small preview of slideshow in timeline and slide modes will display real picture of a slideshow in 5.1 or 5.2 Thanks,
  22. Dave, Rendering of a slideshow during transition effect loads video card in two times stronger. Bercause it have to render and mix two slides. If video card is not enough fast you will see for example 40 frames per second during transition effect and 60 FPS between transition effects. And in this case you will see slight jerk at the moment when transition effect starts or fisnishes. When video card more fast it always shows 60 FPS at any moment of a slideshow. Several variants of solution for your case: - Upgrade your video card. - Or set lower screen resolution. - Or use smaller images.
  23. Thank you! I'll upload updated version of PicturesToExe our website soon.
  24. The reason of this problem in Chinese.ini language file for PicturesToExe. Version 5.0 requires this file be in Unicode format (not in ANSI). Please try updated Chinese.ini and ChineseBig5.ini files. Copy attached files to a folder where PicturesToExe installed (usually C:\Program Files\WnSoft PicturesToExe\5.0\) and let me know about result. If it will help, I'll publish updated version 5.04 See attached Chinese.zip archive file. Chinese.zip
  25. Jeff, Thanks, you're right. I'll remove this option from v5.1
