Thanks, Brian. I didn't perform complete tests with HD format yet, but I suppose that antiflicker required for 1920x1080i format (Interlaced video) only. And probably no need to set antiflicker filter for 1280x720p format. Because 720p provides full 50/60 frames per second without interlacing. I'll do more explorations in this direction.

I recommend to use antiflicker filter for HD format. Just I wanted to say if you need to get absolutely identical to original picture you have to untick this option.

Bart, Large packs of codecs often cause various problems. Better to install only necessary codecs. Try to temporarily rename "cfhd.dll" file in C:\Windows\System32 folder. Also google for "cfhd.dll crashes".

PicturesToExe 5.0 renders AVI in High Definition format 1920x1080 without any losses in sharpness and details of a picture. All that you need - prepare images in 1920x1080 size and uncheck "Antiflicker filter" in AVI window before encoding.

First beta of PicturesToExe Deluxe 5.1 will be published next Monday.

Color profile should work fine on NVIDIA video cards. Try to install latest drivers from NVIDIA website.

As developer of PicturesToExe, I use cyrillic symbols in filenames sometimes and it works. But currently PicturesToExe only partially supports Unicode and PicturesToExe will recognize cyrillic symbols in filenames only if current locale in Windows is Eastern Europe or Russia. p.s. Once created slideshow as EXE file will play anywhere even if you used cyrillic symbols in filenames of images/music.

Set checked "Permit control..." in Advanced tab of Project options.

I forgot to say, that PicturesToExe can remember last used mode (Timeline or Slide List), and if you closed the program when timeline mode was used, next time PicturesToExe will start in timeline mode.

Do you agree, if I will integrate "Customize synchronization" with main window in next version 5.2 (after 5.1 which scheduled for November)? Currently timeline located in a separate window and not all functions available for slideshows on the timeline which available for slides in main window. Also you can't quickly switch between slides and timeline modes. I suggest that "Timeline mode" button (renamed "Synchronization") in the main window switchs Slide list to the Timeline mode (with waveform). You can work with keypoints and access to all other features, including creating slideshow, access to Objects and animation editor which are impossible now from timeline mode. Also preview area of a slide will much larger at right-top corner of a window). Pressing "Slide list mode" will switch interface back to usual main window mode with Slide list. In fact, no separate window more and unified interface.

Thanks for additional information about your PC! I didn't expect that Dell still installed Geforce 2 MX even 1,5 year ago. I'm sorry, but it's very slow video card for PicturesToExe. If you upgrade to Geforce 7600GS or higher, VideoBuilder will work on 500% faster. Next version 5.1 will additionally speeds up on 200-300%. And encoding of 17 minute's slideshow will take about 35 minutes.

Encoding of DVD with PicturesToExe requires powerful videocard. What video card installed in your laptop? Or please let me know model of the laptop. Next version 5.1 will work much faster on modern video cards issused for PCs after 2002. Laptops often ship with low speed graphic card, but I think version 5.1 will work much faster on many laptops issued during last 2 years.

Because you already used these grayscale PNG images in the program, PicturesToExe added it to internal cache of converted PNG images and the problem still will exists. Solutions: - Please move this grayscale PNG images to another folder. - Or rename grayscale PNG image. - Or close PicturesToExe 5.04, find the next folder and delete all files in this folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PicturesToExe\Versions\5.0\ConvertedImages\

Thanks! It's a bug in PicturesToExe 5.03 which doesn't support 8-bit grayscale image with alpha channel. We just fixed it in future v5.1 I'll publish updated 5.04 with this fix tomorrow. As temporal solution please save this PNG file as 24-bit image with alpha channel.

Andrew, I agree and as I wrote above I will implement real preview of a slide picture in version 5.2 (after v5.1). I'll try to finish this code in v5.1, but maybe I'll find unexpected difficulties with old code and it will require more time. I prefer carefully develop such important features and perform all necessary tests for absolute reliability. Probably in case of your PowerPoint like slideshow with text objects, there is one helpful temporal solution. Use Text comment (see "Comment" field in the main window) for those text objects and then modify generated text objects as you want. Then choosing a slide in the Slide list you will see "Text" field and maybe it will be easier to locate necessary slide. Of course, I understand that can be only temporal solution.

I also converted several slideshows for my iPhone. And perfect playpack and quality!

Sorry, PTE still can't handle video in slideshow. We worked support of AVI files in VideoBuilder.
