John, Please send me .pte project file only (528 KB), I'll try to reproduce this problem on Monday. int_support@ <removethistext> wnsoft.com

linzi Currently PicturesToExe v5.00 beta requires DirectX 8.1 or higher and video card with at least 32 MB of video memory. In the final version slide-shows with Pan/Zoom will work on any PC.
-
We plan to release final release of v5.00 at August-September. This version is almost ready. We spent 1 year only for new graphical engine which uses video card. Now we're quickly working on re-activation of "old" functions.
-
John, We solved problem with smoothness of Pan/Zoom effects because of possible high activity of antiviruses/firewall and other background program. Please try newest beta #3
-
Ken, This problem occurs in beta #3 if use "Auto" synchronization option in the Main tab. PicturesToExe automatically sets keypoints along music(s) and does mistake with last slide.
-
I prefer to hide selection by default, but you can change this option via "Tools" menu. Ken, I just fixed bug you've found in PTE v5.00
-
Of course, it will be added! I think about beta #4 or beta #5
-
Andreas, I'm afraid it's early to say about these complex functions at this moment. We should release v5.00 before. Of course, I see so many possibilities for new versions. We already scheduled many next features for v5.10
-
Roger and Sandra, In this case, I think that those MP3 music files are damaged if similar problems on that position occurs with EXE and AVI video. 1) Try to play those MP3 files in Windows Media Player. Will the problem occurs on 11 minute? 1) Please temporarily replace music with absolutely other MP3 music files.

Roger and Sandra, Slideshow works fine, the problem happens in main program of PicturesToExe. Apparently main program of old PTE (v4.48 and earlier) can't wait so long when Preview is playing. I already reworked this moment in future v5.00 Probably I'll fix it in v4.49 However there will be no problem now, if you create slideshow as EXE file and run it. Thank you for your informed me about this problem!

Ken, Thanks Al, OK!
-
Ken, Thanks to God and to you - I reproduced this bug! I've received your .pte project file, spent 20 minutes to manually replace all images with my files without any hope to reproduce the problem. First attempt - all worked fine. Then I removed one slide and then I see the problem you described - in EXE file and in Preview. It's some combination of parameters of a project - it occurs on any PC. So please don't worry - if your slide-show works fine, this problem will never occur. We'll fix it in next beta #4
-
Ken, If you will have EXE file with slide-show created in beta #3 that crashes, even after restarting of Windows. Please however try to send it to me (write be to int_support@) we can use FTP way.
-
We discussed this idea. Unfortunately it's very difficult technically. We can't promiss this feature.
-
I added this idea to our TODO list. But not earlier than in the next version. The only serious problem that interface for this feature may be complicated.
-
Dominique, Music starts on 200 ms. earlier than first slide so just add 200 ms. offset to all slides in global timeline in "Customize synchronization" window. Also music always repeats in beta #3. Al, Often selection bother to exactly place an object. I can add mode to "Tools" button? "Hide Selection on Dragging/Resizing/Rotating". Probably you may help me with right and short name of this mode?Ken, If you kept EXE file that doesn't run, please send me to my email address int_support@ <nospam> wnsoft.com I think it's bug in some combination of slides and parameters, not a bug with video card or DirectX. Such mistake can be easility fixed if I can receive EXE file which produces the problem.

PTE 5 beta 3 & monitor profile (ATI video card)
Igor replied to davidlshepp's topic in General Discussion
David, I think there will be no problem. The only temporal problem if you will run slide-shows created before beta #3 The solution for ATI cards I found should works now. You did so large experiment with so many checkings. Thank you for the help and testing! p.s. in this question NVIDIA video cards are better - they even use same adjusted gamma during slide-shows. Opposite, ATI always unloads gamma for all fullscreen DirectX applications. -
Please let me know about any possible problems/error messages with beta #3 It's very important for us, because I consider that we finished new graphical core of PicturesToExe and now we're working on other features.
-
Al, I'm glad Now you can add image with grid and set "Transparent for Click" option. And it will not disturb to work with other objects on a slide. We'll add own grid, but don't know when.

PTE 5 beta 3 & monitor profile (ATI video card)
Igor replied to davidlshepp's topic in General Discussion
David, I just tested on ATI Radeon 9600Pro and Windows 2000 with exactly same drivers v6.3 you wrote. Beta #3 works fine there and restore gamma after closing slide-show. Please try again, restart Windows and don't run old slide-shows created before beta #3 run only new projects created in beta #3 and let me know about result. -
PTE 5 beta 3 & monitor profile (ATI video card)
Igor replied to davidlshepp's topic in General Discussion
David, Try again please this example several times: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/KeepGamma.zip (380 KB) Does it unload profile? p.s. This unpleasant problem happens if you adjust desktop gamma in Adobe Gamma Loader or MonacoEzColor on ATI video cards only. This bugs exists in ATI drivers since 2005 year. I also checked up - they already fixed it in new drivers for Windows Vista. ATI didn't reply on our letter and doesn't fix the problem. I'm trying to find some solution, but apparently it not always help. -
Jeff, Thanks for right names for these functions! I appreciate your correction. These are difference options however. David, I guess you changed Fullscreen mode to Windowed when worked on the your project in beta #2. Because beta #3 doesn't support Windowed mode, you see damaged view of a slide. Please open .pte project file in Notepad and set opt_scr_full=1 (instead of opt_scr_full=0) Also I think that no problem with newely created projects in beta #3?
-
David, Windowed mode is not ready, sorry. Next beta #4.
-
Dominique, We did thickness of smoothing line in percents, because all elements of a slide in percents now. And slide will be correctly displayed on any display - 800x600 or 1600x1200
-
I'm sorry that we worked so long time on the beta, but we didn't skip even one business day. Now new graphical engine is ready, and we will quickly realize "old" transition effects, AVI video support, some functions and re-activate "old" CPU based graphical engine for old video cards.
