  1. When you select DVD, SVCD or VCD it always uses PicturesToExe lossless video codec. We mayn't directly support "Microsoft Windows Media Video 9" codec (WMV), because it's not AVI file. But you can choose our lossless PicturesToExe codec (or DVD preset) and import created AVI file into Media Encoder 9 program and convert it to WMV video file. It will give exactly same image and sound quality as if you could create WMV directly in PTE.
  2. Small update of current version of PicturesToExe: PicturesToExe v4.45 http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/apr.zip (1.4 MB) * Fixed possible problem with music, if you have Skype USB Phone (mistake in drivers for this device). * Fixed bug with "Import transition points" function in the timeline window. (A last point always skiped after importing from another project.)
  3. Thanks! tom95521 Ok, I just corrected this button.
  4. Whereas Pan/Zoom effects require exact timing, any slide displays exactly specified time now. In both modes - synchronized and not synchronized. If you just watch slide-show you will find no difference between these modes. So there is only one difference between these modes. When you rewind slides in NOT synchronized slideshow music DOESN'T rewind. And opposite in synchronized slide-shows, music rewinds with rewinding of slides. Really a very small difference? So besides global options ("Synchronize slideshow to music"): 1) we added ability to specify this option to each slide personally - "Synchronized", "Not synchronized", "By default (Use global settings of the Project). 2) Ability to use timeline in both modes. And ability to adjust time of slide in its personal settings (as you can do in not synchronized slide-shows in v4.44 and earlier). 3) For example, ability to make all slide-show synchronized (as earlier) and several last slides leave not synchronized! We have only one difficulty and question with Not synchronized projects. If somebody worked with *not* synchronized slide-show, he could use Personal time of slide and global time interval for slides (by default) and ability to set time individually for some slide(s). Now *each* slide in *each* slide-show has personal time. And you can adjust its time on the timeline, or in properties of the slide. Also you can open Project options and set new time inteval (for example 5 sec.) for all slides. See two screenshot bellow. Will it be enough intuitive and still easy to use for not-synchronized projects? p.s. No changes if you work with *synchronized* project. All works and looks as earlier.
  5. Thank you, Bill for continuous support of your project! Sincerely,
  6. I wish you all Happy New year! p.s. although, we have entire 10 days of holidays here in Russia, however we'll continue to work 4th or 5th January.
  7. Yes, but as we discovered we had no chance to choose another way. Pan/Zoom required to do all this work. And spent much time for investigations and a long testing for maximal quality and reliability of v5.00.
  8. PixBuilder Studio v1.20 is released: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3907

    XMAS

Merry Christmas and all of the best in the new year!
  10. Thanks for letting me know about this small inexactness on our web site! I just updated order page. Also we'll update it in PixBuilder Studio v1.20 Really we have "," instead of "." But when you will work with Visual editor - you will see ".", of course. Windows automatically replaces this symbol in all programs.
  11. View of the new Visual editor in PTE v5.00 (click to see in full size)
  12. We're still working on beta #1 of v5.00 I almost wrote main code of the Visual editor - it ready for beta #1 version. However work on beta #1 still in progress. Yesterday we decided to add an one important optimization, which especially very useful for slower video cards. Because of this, Aleksey is closely working on this question now. I hate to say about this new delay, but beta may be ready in a week or two. I can't say exactly, but we really very very near to beta version. One last effort. I can't express all large volume of the work we've already done for v5.00
  13. You are right. Two good ideas! We'll make it so in v5.00
  14. "Pause" key on the keyboard already works in not-synchronized slide-shows. Only if you have synchronized slide-show, you need to set "Permit the control of a show" option (Main tab in Project options.)
  15. 1) Invision technicians just updated our forum to the newest version of Invision Power Board. 2) Also they carefully checked up all settings and files, and added some changes for protection of the forum. I hope, it will be more reliable now. Please let me know if you find some problems.
  16. McAfee shown it as "JS/EXPLOIT-HELPXSITE" AntiVir shown as "EXP/VBS.Phel.AV" Kaspersky Antivirus shown "Exploit.VBS.phel.av" p.s. right now Invision support is upgrading forum to the newest version to maximally protect our forum.
  17. Invision support and we will work on additional protection of the forum, so please ignore possible temporal problem with accessing during nearest several days.
  18. Also there is a wonderful antivirus program - AntiVir www.free-av.com (It's fully free for non-commercial use) p.s. I very like first results with new graphical engine of v5.00, especially almost ready new Visual editor.
  19. Dear members! It's very unpleasant to say about this problem, but it seems that some hacker(s) infected our forum. We temporarily turned it off and will solve this problem together with Invision support. I highly recommend you to check up your PC with antivirus (for example McAfee or Antivirus Kaspersky) with newest updates if you visited our forum 14th or 15th December. Please excuse us for this problem.
  20. You're right, of course. Excuse my mistake. I wanted to say "make DVD-Video disc".
  21. My colleague, Aleksey Elin created this smart system of loading.
  22. Sorry, I have to correct my previous message. If *unceasing* sequence of slides (e.g. from 4 to 10) contains same Picture.jpg image file (as objects, or main picture, or as background), then this image WILL NOT be loaded and decompressed every time. PTE v5.00 has smart system which uses same decompressed image in the memory. For example, if loading of a large background image Picture.jpg for 4th slide may takes 100 milliseconds, next slides - 5, 6, 7, etc (with same Picture.jpg background) will be loaded and shown INSTANTLY (no additional delays for decompression and loading). But if some next slide in this sequence doesn't contain this Picture.jpg, this image will be unloaded from memory.
  23. 1) If you added several objects which uses one Picture1.jpg file (in borders of an *one* slide): - In PTE v4.44 slide-show loads several times this Picture.jpg for all these objects when this slide appears on the screen. Because slide-show think that it's different objects with different JPEG images. - In PTE v5.00 slide-show loads only one copy of this Picture.jpg file and all those objects use this one decompressed image. 2) About loading of slides. When some slide appears on the screen, right after this moment, slide-show starts pre-loading of the next slide (decompression of Jpeg, Png, Gif images) and keep all decompressed images of the future slide in the memory. When timer says that it's time to show a new slide, PTE immediately shows this new slide to the screen. And starts pre-loading the next slide. So there are only three possibilities to place slides more closely: - use smaller images in smaller Jpeg file. - use more powerful PC - or make DVD disc.
  24. For example, if v4.30 or v4.40 required to write 300 pages of the new code. For this new v5.00 we already wrote about 1000 pages of very difficult code. I understand it's terrible to wait so long, but I hope that the result will cover and justify all waiting. Open beta-testing will be long, don't worry about it. I think at least during 6 weeks.
