  1. Thanks again Igor. I have only been using PtoE for just over a year and have already seen massive changes. You are the King!
  2. Hi Bill and Karen and family, Thanks for your season's greetings, which I would like to reciprocate, with additional thanks for your work on behalf of all of us PtoE enthusiasts. Perhaps I could also extend this to Igor and his merry band of helpers. All the best for 2005. Andrew (Severn Bore)
  3. Hi Isobel Thanks for the correction. I still lust after that Canon, but will have to save up for a bit longer! Happy Christmas to you and any others who read this message. Andrew (severn Bore)
  4. Hi again Isobel, Thanks for your very full response to my questions about your excellent pictures. I am now even more determined to get the EOS20D! Andrew
  5. Hi Isobel I would like to add my appreciation of your show - excellent. Can you please tell us a bit about how the photos were obtained, apart from the super EOS20D. The exposures and colour balance were great, despit the show apparently having taken place in a large hall under artificial lighting. Did you use flash, or was the exposure within the range of the camera.? And did you have to adjust the white balance on the camera or using software? Also, was a tripod necessary? Sorry about the interrogation. If no flash was used the results certainly demonstrate the superior ability of the larger sensor in the Digital SLR and the 20D in particular. I want one!!! Well done Andrew aka Severn Bore

  7. Hi This is an interesting idea. In view of bandwidth issues, I would suggest limiting it to a dozen or 15 slides only. Would you specify the music or leave this to the author. I suggest leaving it to the author otherwise creativity might be restricted.
  8. Hi I have not heard of this problem before. Are you using the latest finished version or the beta? Have you checked that your system is AOK? The only other thing I might suggest is that you uninstall and then reinstall PtoE/ Sorry not to be more help.
  9. Hi It is always good to see a new resource dedicated to our hobby, so thanks for your contribution. Having had a quick look around your new site, it has started well and has plenty of promise. Slightly on the down side, I found the interface just a little too exciting for my taste - and I jumped out of my seat when the site opened to a rather startling fanfare! But please do not take this post as a negative one. I have already placed it in my Favourites and shall be registering shortly.
  10. I would just like to add what was said by bjc regarding the National Park program by Roger Turenne. This was a superbly crafted show with a thoughtful and well-narrated commentary (I am an admirer of the soft Canadian accent), supported by top class photography. An excellent piece of work.
  11. Hi Everyone I knew I could rely on forum members to come up with some good suggestions. Will try them all. Thanks for your help.
  12. Hi Can anyone please recommend a free program fo creating icons? Thanks in anticipation.
  13. Being a confirmed Francophile, I am always interested in shows depicting France. Plan de Cuques was no exception and I especially enjoyed seeing the pictures of the old village and to test my French against the very clear narration. One small constructive criticism and one suggestion - perhaps the pictures could have remained on screen for a second or two longer. Many contained a great deal of information and there was insufficient time to take it all in. I would also have found it very interesting if some of the old photos of the village could have been compared with the modern view, perhaps using a fade. Congratulations on an interesting and informative project.
  14. Hi Ken, Thanks for this link. All is now clear! Andrew aka Severn Bore
  15. Ha! It now has a purpose. As I said in my separate thread, the shots were good. The title should have been more relevant and the music faded nicely. It would then have been very respectable. Please do not let my somewhat negatvie comments put you off as I enjoy new ideas. Andrew aka Severn Bore
  16. Am I the only one to be a bit disappointed by Sunset Sequence? The stated size of the download had me puzzled, but having seen the thumbnail on Beechbrook it promised much. However, although it was a very nice sunset sequence it did not seem worth the bother, especially as the music ended abruptly so breaking "the mood". Or have I missed something?
  17. Congratulations to Michel on yet another innovative piece of work. Apart from the usual high standard of photography, there were some superb transitions demonstrating the "third image". Highly recommended to those wishing to learn technique and style. Excellent!
  18. Hi Bill Just goes to show, yopu do not need the latest and most expensive. The pictures certainly do justice to the 4000Z. I had a 2000Z until a couple of years ago, when I upgraded to a Canon G2 with 4mill pixels. Overall I prefer the warmer Olympus results to the Canon, whose photos I always have to tweak in photoshop. Keep up the good work in showing off the UK at its best!"
  19. I have just caught up with Bill's presentation on our glorious Westcountry. Super photography; it was a lesson in composition and exposure! Bill and Karen experienced the best of our early Summer (!) weather. We have had little sun and far too much rain since their visit. In fact Boscastle in the north of Cornwall was devastated by floods a month or so ago! Bill, can you please tell us what camera you use and what resolution/file size was used for the show. The photographs are so crisp and clear.
  20. Only just caught up with Oxygene. Excellent! I especially liked the misty morning photographs. Congratulations Michel
  21. Re the issue of music copyright. Whatever, the rights and wrongs I would hope that for our limited audience there would be no problem. In fact I have purchased a couple of Cd's simply on the basis of having heard the music on AVs downloaded from Beechbrook! So you can see there are benefits to the industry from our using this music.
  22. An amazing program, produced sooooo quickly. How does he do it. Magic! and many thanks.
  23. I agree. An impressive presentation, with super photographs. I would like to know whether anything special was done to the pictures taken in the race track garages, as the lighting was very even and shadow free. They did not appear to have been taken with the camera flash. Well done Andrew

  25. Hi Marianne, My apologies if you are already aware of it, but Al Robins programme PTE Adjuster model on page 4 opf the Beechbrook site should do the trick! Although his "dark table feature has been overtaken by recent Pto E upgrades, the Adjuster model still has its uses, fior which we can still be grateful to Al. Andrew
