Hi Again MHW
Are you downloading the correct version? Maureen added a MAC version later.

Hi MHW
It just says Mac on SSC so I didn't bother trying, he'll be on later to confirm one way or the other.

Hi Maclan.
I see you've only uploaded a mac version. We lived on the Algarve for 12 months, would have been intersted in what you have shown.

Hi Maclan
It's a long time since I uploaded to SSC as most of my shows now contain mostly video & the file size on SSC is restricted. File name is the mane of the show, add tag is just a name to follow the show with rather than the full name. Follow this file sends you info about comments on the show, About this file is just a short description of what the show is about. (I Hope)

Hi Maureen
Nice to see you back in action.

Personally, I always put all my clips through the convert process. 75% of the time this reduces the file size which is necessary in a video show over 10 minutes.

Thanks maclan.

Do your old shows run with the latest version of PTE? Have you got the latest version installed?

Hi Macian
Thanks for your sympathy, one half of our partnership is OK ish but the other isn't & never will be. Vascular Dementia is a dreadful affliction that as of today cannot be cured.

For many reasons I am unable to complete this show. I compiled videos & stills of how far I had got with the Electrification of the Trekidoo into a shortened show. I put the trike up for sale on Ebay & got one tire kicker who came & just wanted to knock the price down, but I refused. Then I put it on Gumtree & a guy who is a member of an Asian charity in Preston came & looked, liked it saying they wanted it for a summer parade but had to get the committee's permission to buy it. Eventually I decided as I was donating 10% to the Alzeimers society with my Ebay add, I reduced the price & he agreed to buy it. He came this morning & collected it, we managed to get it in the back of a Citroen Picasso similar to ours we changed last year. Hopefull he will complete the electrification & have a successful parade.
The unfinished show is on YouTube via this link Electrifying the Trekidoo.

I remember in my early digital photography days having a Flickr account which I loved & it was free. Then it was taken over I think by google & I lost 90% of the content I had on there. It was then taken over by Smugmug & I stuill use it very infrequently. It now looks like they are pulling the rug again.

Greetings Rosy,
Please tell me how you can edit out sections within the video. From what I see is you can only trim the beginning and/or the end of the clip.
For example, I have digitized HI8 tapes which could be an hour or so in length. I want to edit out sections of the video file. I don't want to have to cut it up into chunks and then reassemble them. If I can cut out sections of the long video file and retain it as one file, please let me know. I just don't see how.
Lately, I have been using DaVinci Resolve Free which does a good job. It would be nice if I could do it in PTE. How?
Thanks... Gary
Hi Gary
"If I can cut out sections of the long video file and retain it as one file, please let me know. I just don't see how."
Im sure you know what to do, As you describe, you can cut out the sections you want to retain without damaging the original. As I said, on a 1 hour clip it is laborious cutting out the sections you want to keep, then adding them to the show in the order you want. The original 1 hour video is always retained in its original length. BTW I always try to restrict my original videos to 30 seconds, one minute at the most, moving my shooting position after each one. Alternatively, speeding them up. I would think a 1 hour video from one spot would soon bore people to death.

Yes, but, say for Levels, you don't get a graph. You are only guessing. Unsharp Mask??? Yes, PTE is fantastic!!! But you still need to go out of PTE for some things, like for video editing. You can not edit out segments within the video clip. What it does is incredible...but...
I'll try to get the Plug-in into Pixbuilder.
Thanks....
Gary
Hi Gary Must disagree with you there, most of my shows contain video & I always cut out the bits I don't want using PTE. It's a bit laborious but it can be done. I have a copy of Adobe Premier Elements which I bought especially to edit video, but never use it as I found I could edit easier in PTE.

Yes that works
Hi Maureen, recognised a few of your pictures from our 5 years living in the Dales.
Couldn't get the sound to work at first, then found I''d plugged the speaker cable in the wrong socket after our move.
