Hi WA That's OK, I remember my first pozi screwdriver, it had a woodne handle. Some of the screw heads nowadays have allen key type sockets which IMO give a more positive grip than a pozi. Maybe that's where Posi got their name from, "positive"? Seem to rember anothe GKN company GKN Sankey. or maybe my brains fading.
Cheers Rosy.

Hi WA
That was the third collapse, the damage was done with the first collapse. The chipboard flew everywere. Just wating for some pozi screw driver bits for my battery drill & some more drill bits. I have loads of brackets to strengthen the structure from past hobbies. Also I'm going to shorten it as it would have had to be moved everytime we wanted to go in the fridge or freezer. It might not look the same but hopefully do the job.
Thanks for your comments
Happy Christmas

Hi Rosemary
I think I know all the words, just couldn't print them on here. Earlier this morning I got an email from Amazon saying the replacement cabinet would be here Thursday, despite having cancelled the order 12 hours after making it. A few choice words rent the air then. Luckily I was able to speak to customer relations & confirm the cancellation & full refund. Glad you liked the show.
Happy Christmas & a safe New Year.

Hi Tom
I have the dishwasher, just nothing to stand it on yet..

With all the bad news going around the world, I thought I'd try to raise a Christmas Chuckle. That isn't the name of the show, it's about our efforts to install a dishwasher in our micro kitchen.

I think you need the Pro version. See Barry Beckhams recent 5min tutorial on how.

Hi Jill
I know I've done it a few times a long time ago, I guess my memory of how has faded.

I am an complete and absolute newbie and want to use some silhouettes (black on transparent)
over a motion background. When I add the PNG it is black-on-black! Obviously, I don't know what
I'm doing. I am in need of some gentle help -- thanks so much.
Dick
Alternatively you could cut out your silhouette & paste it into a blank slide with zero opacity, (I think)

I believe so.

Hi Tom
Can't you add a blank slide to the end of the video?

When we moved into our Fulwood apartment the widows were fitted with standard venetian blinds, which aren't very energy efficient. In view of the energy crisis we decided to get something more energy efficient. Curtains & fitting to the 9 windows was out of our price range, but plantation shutters looked a better alternative.
In putting together this show, I had inadvertently uploaded the latest beta version & ticked the box I shouldn't have. Consequently, there is a message to say it was created in a beta version of PTE. I'm sure there is a way to undo this but with our chaotic life at present I couldn't be bothered finding how to undo it.

Hi WA good to see you back. I found Norton very intrusive & expensive compared to Bullguard. Only just renewed my BG so have time to look elsewhere.

Just received an email to the effect as the title. Wasn't impressed with Norton previously, or their prices.

Not sure if this has any bearing on what happened to me?

Hi Jeff
Have you got a generic transition set for your clips / slides (say a fade). Try setting a standard quick transition between the slides before & after the clips.

Thanks Barry

Didn't get any comments on this problem so I assume no one else had it?
So after a suffering a month of dropping wifi signals to my PC & BT trying to tell me my PC was the problem, they decided to send some kit which they said would cure it. This morning, a month after I reported the fault to BT, their solution arrived. A pair of TP-Link AV1000 pass through powerline Starter kit Powerline which transmits the signal through the properties wiring? So much for BT's super fibre hub!!!
Just finished installing them & up to now haven't had a signal drop out. They are on sale at Amazon for £29 if anyone has the same problem. Fingers crossed.

Guessing here, why copy to a blank slide, why not direct into the projeect. The blank slide may have a time in it that's being added to the overall slide time?

Hi Jill
I've tried it in PTE on stills, but video would take hours, the show is already 42 minutes long with about 35 minutes of video. I did it using buttons, but they exclude to much action. I suppose a mask with blur would look better, but I was hoping someone had a software magic wand for a modest price.
On another matter when I reported MS updates had altered my system, its also happening on here where I'm getting spelling & punctuation items underlined in blue. It just underlined buttons & better & offered to include a comma after the words. Driving me potty.

I'm in the middle of a long show on being a Carer. It contains a lot of sensative areas that I want to partially mask off. Has anyone done this & suggest software that doesn't cost the earth. I have Adobe Premier Elements, that has something called Candid Moments. Had a brief look but it didn't look like something I could understand. The subjects will move in the clps, so the masking needs to follow them.

Hi Ed. What version of Audacity are you using, I use 2.4.2. I heard there was some problem with later versions so I didn't up-date. Rosy
