  1. I know I ask before I think, however, I can switch off & on the shutter sound on my smart phone camera, my Panasonic bridge cameras & I can download an app from the internet if my smart phone doesn't have a shutter sound. I'm sure Igor could produce a quick adjustable shutter sound transition with a speed &  volume level. I would use it in certain instances. I don't use styles other than those that are standard in PTE?  1/50 & 1/100 would be enough.

  2. Thanks Tom, It's still shown over here. I believe Micheal Flatley the principle dancer wqs diagnosed with cancer back in January. Not sure how he is now. Keep fighting Michael.

Re the poetry, there used to be a site called "Sounds Like", If you wanted your voice over to rhyme, you could look up a specific word & it would give you 10 or so similar word that rhymed, we got quite adept at writing  rhyming voice overs.

  3. I delved a little further back in our archives & found this show. However when I tried to run it from the PTE Show Icon, there was no sound track? Now we always put everything in one folder, music pictures voice overs & sound effects. What we got this time was  a PTE pop up saying the show had missing files, AKA the soundtrack. I clicked the find button but it didn't find the track. So after a lot of head scratching & re-reading the message, we twigged what we were doing wrong, we thought it referred to a particular folder on the PC when in fact it was a folder on the separate HD:wacko:

Any way, Fog on the Tyne is an amalgamation of 2 visits to Newcastle Upon Tyne, one a day trip with the camera club & the other a short winter break, which is why some subjects were taken in summer & some in winter.

  4. I was digging through some old hard drives & found some shows I hadn't uploaded to YouTube. This one is called "Monochrome Hawes".

Hawes is a village in the middle of Wensleydale in North Yorkshire. The Wensleydale Cheese factory being it's biggest attraction along with the James Herriot Hotel. We went there on a cold winters night with our cameras & tripods & the result was "Monochrome Hawes", this was aound 2008/9 & was shot in 4-3 format then later converted to 16-9. Its main claim to fame was it's voice over, which many of todays shows don't seem to use.

  5. Every year we try to watch the Proms. For those who don't know what the Proms are, they are a series of concerts held at The Royal Albert Hall from July to the end of summer.

This year, for various reasons we hadn;t seen any. So Saturday night I was determined to watch the Last Night of the Proms on TV from my sofa. Unfortunately I left the flash on on my Smart phone, so most of the stills has a flash flare. If that's putting you off, you can always listen to the music.

Message for Gary, all this is copyright material, YT flagged it but their message is below.

  6. I have a show in progress composed of stills & a couple of video clips. Being an Audacity person I have multiple sound tracks set out in Audacity. The sound track of the main video clip is a person singing, so has to be lip sync-ed. I have left a space in Audacity so the original sound on the clip can be used, however the volume is too low. I'm sure I should be able to see the wave form of the clip but can't for the life of me remember how it's done:wacko:

    Hi Tome

I use Apache Open Office Org to create PDF's but used to use Adobe to edit them. Then they wanted me to pay for the privilige. Currently, I haven't any PDF's I want to edit, so I'm looking around to see what's best. I'll take a look at Google as I don't have Office.

    Thanks Rosy.

    Hi Igor

I tried to open a free account which was listed on their opening page but they wouldn't let me have one & pointed me to the paid accounts? I used their Q&A FREE ACCOUNT & got this reply. "You can use all features of Soundraw for free, but if you don't have a paid subscription, you won't be able to download or monetize AI-generated songs. Downloading and monetization are only available for paid members. However, composing using Soundraw's AI is free, so to try out what Soundraw has to offer, please click the button

  9. Hi Gary

Just remembered a solution I used 5  or 6 years ago, I bought a synthesizer & made my own music. It was a Yamaha & wasn't cheap, but eventually I got fed up with it & sold it on.

This is one of my efforts, not the best but the only one I could find to fit the 7mb limit. Rosy
