Hardware request I have a GeForce 6600 GT graphic card with 128 MB ram. With PTE Version 5.5 I have no problems with jerking. But now, if I have pans and zooms of "mask containers" or masks, especially if there is complex pan or zoom of 2-3 "mask containers" and background image and the masked image, there often is jerking in the motions (exe). And what card is your recommendation for 5.6 and > 6 and complex masking and motion? Best regards Andreas

Sorry, but I have to disagree. I hope, Igor will some day implement function to record voice comments and fade background music automatically out and in. It works fine in other programs (where the image quality is not as good as in PTE ;-) ). Best regards Adda

Hi all! Someone of our parish donated us a new beamer and a second-hand notebook. I am very happy about this, but I have to learn to manage my PTE-Shows with graphic -acceleration, because the graphic card of the notebook (Mobility Radeon 7500) is not a new one and has only 32 MB Ram (!). I learned, although I can use graphic -acceleration with zooms and movements with a few conditions: - I have to avoid large zooms and movements. 110-115% zoom works smooth. - I have to avoid zoom/movement at the same with transition-effects. - The beamer has 1024x778 px. So I reduce the pictures to 1280x1024. In this way it works. Has someone other ideas? With best regards. Adda

All These Demos were made with the mask-effect of the "competitive product". It gives many important possibilities. I often use the pans. I reduce the image-size to 1080 high. In my experience, it also depends on the program. When I reduce the images with ThumbsPlus (Bicubic), I also have a shimmer/flicker. My Corel PhotoPaint 11 makes a better job. There a also can use the function smoothing, when I save the picture as JPG. If I choose 5%, there is no shimmer/flicker on panning . Hi Paul! I like your pictures very much. Also I like your camera work. One restriction: IMHO the slide time of pictures without motion is too long. Its a thing , which I often study on slideshows. I thing, in the seventies and eighties long times of views were usual, but today we become accustomed to short filmcuts. With best regards Andreas

I tried GrownCut Mask with PhotoImpact 10. In the help-file I found this Information: GML GrowCut Mask and GML GrowCut Mask Extract works under Adobe® Photoshop® program family, as well as under every program, which supports Adobe Photoshop filter plugins (Paint Shop Pro, IrfanView, etc.). It seems, that it does not work with PhotoImpact10. Extracting of objekts worth well within the program, but if I klick finish, I get only a black and white picture (see test.jpg). Any ideas? Perhaps I found a solution or a work arround for PhotoImpact. 1. Hold basis-picture (dont know, which is the correct translation) 2. Select all 2. Extracting Objekt with GrowCut Mask 3. Clicking finish > there will be a black and white picture 4. magic selection on white part of the picture 5. delete selection 6. now you have the objekt and can copy it in the clipboard. See result.
