  1. I have been experimenting with ProShow tho' i am impressed with some of the results i am not satisfied with it overall. If my picts are not "letter perfect" proshow makes a vcd that bleaches some of the picts terribly and pixelation is quite evident -- yet the same picts in a p2e show do not show these probs when put on the tv/vcr/tape via my AverMedia box that is my observation in my testing i used picts from http://www.mplonsky.com/photo/article.htm they are "letter perfect" and showed no degradation, but the average person would have to have everything going for him/her to produce picts with no flaws in exposure etc. I'm likely doing something wrong ken

  7. Linda, try copy and paste from cd to hard drive and then try to open them is the disk a cd-r or a cd-rw is your system win98 or xp a cd-rw disk formatted on a win 98 system is very touchy if you try to access it on on xp system -- the recommended thing is to copy all data to your hard drive, and reformat the cd-rw with xp ken

  18. using television as the key word will get you +- 6 hits > 30 days but one way to do it is to get an interface to go between computor and monitor similar to ]http://www.aver.com/products/ http://www.aver.com/products/comptv.shtml http://www.aver.com/products/comptv_AVerKe...Key500pro.shtml picture quality may not be as good as on the monitor but you are just proofing to the customer Mine is a 1996 model and it does not near the features they have today but fits my needs -- having the remote control gives you the option of positioning etc. Another option is to get a TV out graphics board for your computer -- my ATI ALLINWONDER board does not have a remote and the picture size on the tv is not the same size as with the AVerKey you might write to jslugman@alaska.com http://www.jamesandjill.com/index.html and ask Jim what he uses to make his videos ken
  19. Jim real glad they finally let you across the border to get to the Bill's Cottage -- your show was worth the delay -- pretty slick ken
  20. able to get there at 23:30 est -- maybe the border is closed to anyone from Ottawa ken
  21. Robert, i have just set up a folder witth sc's to member's sites, specific threads etc -- i started this a while back using the "cottage" as the start point and then have made sub folders inside with folders for specific members and just now one for specific threads -- have placed it in the Favourites folder with a specific s/c on the desk top c/w with a custom icon of Bill's "cottage" -- now i can send a s/c to a thread to the desktop -- rename it for the thread and put it to the cottage folder/and the winsoft thread folder. Sounds like a lot of work but it works. will send you the cottage icon if you wish ken
