  1. Colin - I rather enjoyed this sequence. For the first time out re; PTE animation & PS work, you should be proud of this show. As you gain more experience in both programs, you'll gain confidence and probably get even more creative. Greg
  2. Dom - I read the post from 2007, too bad Igor didn't bite at that time. I would be happy to be able to highlight all the key points and simply drag them with the mouse rather than entering a time value. It would sure be great if Igor would address this. Greg
  3. I agree on the separation issue and further to that; I would love to be able to highlight multiple key points at once (using "shift" or "control"). When we have a slide that contains several objects all requiring their own animations and after creating the key points, you find that you need to move all of the key point for a particular object, wouldn't it be great to click on the first key point and then "shift" click on the last key point and move them all together? I can't tell you how often when trying to space out the animations of several objects in a slide, I don't get right the first time. When a repositioning is required, I have to click and move each key point one at a time. Greg
  4. Hubert - You can adjust the start & end speeds of an animation by going into "objects & animation" and select the "animation" tab at the upper right. The default for all animations is "linear". You can click on the appropriate animation ( pan - zoom - rotate) and then click on "setting up" in the drop down window, that will open up the "speed options" window. Here you can change the speed of the start and end of that animation. Barry Beckham has an excellent tutorial on this subject - click the link below. Greg My link
  5. Hubert - Good show especially the second half when the images appeared a little moody (dim lighting and mist) I found the pans were a little abrupt in starting and finishing. Greg
  6. where in the Hell is this post going? Germans, French, Aussie, Brits ext.... What has all these nationality references got to do with PTE? I'm with Barry Greg
  7. Colin - What a great way to show off fractals. How did you get those girls to sign off on you using their images? Greg
  8. Lin - Cool FX. I could see it working in certain conditions. Greg
  9. FYI - I purchased a new laptop computer a few months ago to integrate with my home theater system. It has a dedicated video card which also processes audio so when I hook up to my system via HDMI, I get video along with CD quality audio. I can also play my PTE .exe files with no problems. Greg
  10. Bert - Great show and good choice of music. I love the HDR work. Made for a more spooky look. Greg
  11. LumenLux - Thanks for responding, happy to hear you enjoyed the shows. Yes, there was a difference in the file sizes of the 2 shows. Ron Davidson, a new client, shoots a much smaller image then the girl who shot 055, also a client. A few of Ron's images did suffer from the zoom effect but I couldn't resist using the FX anyway. I'm pretty lucky, most of my clients pretty much give me free rein to present their images the way I want along with choosing the music. Yes, I love to give Barry credit for my advances in PTE and also Photoshop. His work is incredible along with his tutorials. You asked about an itinerary re; the area depicted in the 2 shows. I'm not sure what you mean. The area in known as Lake O'Hara which is located in Yoho National Park in eastern British Columbia near the Alberta border. It's a very popular area and you need to apply for passes to get in. You can go on short day hikes or take several days to explore a wide area of the park. There are groups a cabins situated for overnite stays. However, you could be sharing with other hikers who have booked the same park time. You could also contact Patti (pgordon@abccountry.ca) Greg
  12. This is a sequence of images taken at the same location as the girl who supplied the photos used in 055 Lake O'Hara. However, Ron's photographic interpretation is totally different. His shots are more of a moody nature with misty landscapes and great rock formations. Also, the music I chose gives the sequence a feeling of haunting and loneliness. It's like trespassing on sacred ground. You'll have to scroll down the show list to the 4th one down "056 Ron's Lake O'Hara" Greg My link
  13. Malcolm - WOW!! Awesome images, great color and clarity. Exposures are bang on. I enjoyed this sequence very much - it's a keeper. Greg
  14. Barry wrote; "Greg, Why did you have to ask that question?" Barry - I didn't Have to ask the question, I simply wanted to know what you thought of it. It was wrong of me to assume you had already seen it. With all the comments on this topic, I guess I got confused about where the conversation was going (file sizing). Greg
  15. Davey - What a Powerful show. The world is full of sadness, I think that most simply look the other way. Barry - You brought up some good points BUT what did you think of the show itself? Greg
  16. Barry - Just viewed your show - great images. The glass building shots were incredible. This is the 2nd AV I've seen using this template and I got to say; I'm not a fan. I think it's the way the small slide image FLASHES into the big size - it's not very fluid to my eyes, or other senses for that matter. You know my criticism comes from a good place. Greg
  17. Daniel - Great show. I love the candid photography, the colors and music. I thought it flowed quite well and the length wasn't an issue for me, I think the music carried the length well. Greg
  18. I've had a few shows in the works for a couple of months now and have completed 2 this week. On Saturday, "058 Canadian Rockies" was uploaded and today, "060 Mt.Baker" was uploaded. There's wonderful scenery in both. Enjoy, Greg Gordon My link
  19. Barry - As usual, Stunning Images. However, the music didn't exactly win me over but hey, music is such a personal thing. awesome show bud, Greg
  20. I've just added a new show to my site. Greg Gordon My link
  21. Maureen - Great photographic eye, great creative vision. The sequence was almost hypnotic, I didn't want it to end. Excellent show indeed. Greg
  22. Amen to the timeless tinkering. I too can blow away a few weeks from choosing the images and enhancing them, creating the show style and animations, choosing music etc. And that gets me thru to version one. and then the tinkering starts and continues for sometime usually. I don't think I've ever uploaded a slideshow after completing the first version. I've had some shows go on for months. I feel the time I put into my shows definitely show in the final version. Greg
  23. Malcolm - I accessed your show via the e-mail notice sent out from the forum. I went straight to the link with out first reading your intro - my apologies for missing the point re the DOM template. I'm surprised you couldn't see the difference between the anti-shimmering being on or off. I don't know why that is. Anyway, other than the shimmering that appeared on my monitor, the show was great. Greg
  24. Malcolm - As Ken said, great show with a unique presentation. Looks like a template by "THEDOM" or maybe Barry Beckham. Lots of bright colors with a good level of sharpness. The only negative for me, was the "shimmering" during the slow animation of almost every image. I'm going to guess that you didn't apply "anti-shimmering" to the animated photos. The shimmering effect gets worse depending on the sharpness of the images and your photos have a good level of sharpness applied to them which is a good thing. However, by ticking the "anti-shimmering" box in the "properties" tab of the "objects & animation" window, you can eliminate most if not all the shimmer. Greg
  25. Goeff - Thanks for sharing. Great puzzle animation. Now try to have the puzzle blow apart with the pieces twirling and flipping as they fly off the screen. You'll have to create a back for each puzzle piece first. Probably take a few hours for 2 - 3 seconds of animation time. But seriously, thanks for sending out the message, Merry Christmas. Greg
