  1. Hi, This is not a big thing, but something I noticed over the last upgrades. I don't know if it is only on my computer but the Lay-out for the Project Options is getting a little small and some of the boxes are close together. Also some of the text does not fit in the boxes anymore. Maybe it is possible the make some more space for the Project Options lay-out in the next upgrade. Again not a big thing just esthetics. Regards, Bert
  2. Hi Jeanie I also have only a phone line connection to the internet at home. What I do is download a slide show from Beechbrook on a computer with broadband. In my case that is at my work but you can also do it at a friend or maybe a library. From that computer I put it on a USB flash drive and bring it home to my computer. A 128MB USB Flash drive cost around $30 in the US. Maybe this is an idea for you. Regards, Bert
  3. I found an Audacity Manual at there site, it is in PDF format and printable. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/onlinehelp.../reference.html Hope this helps, Bert
  4. My 4 wishes, 1. Dark Table. 2. Zoom /Ken Burns Effect. 3. Constrains in timeline as Tom K. mentioned. 4. Updated help files Regards, Bert
  5. My question concerns cropped images. I have scanned a vertical slide at 3264 pixels wide x 2520 pixels high. I want only to use one half of the slide and after cropping end up with a vertical image of 1470 pixels wide x 2062 pixels high. If I wanted to make a print of this image at say 8 x 12, I would resize it up 160% (bicubic resampling), to get a vertical with enough pixels to print. How does this work for a slide show? Do I resize the cropped image 1470 x 2062 to a 549 x 768 jpeg to fit on the screen, or do I resize it up first 160 % and than resize it to a 549 x 768 jpeg. Thanks, Bert
  6. Patrick, That was a great show to watch, liked the way you put in the small pictures of the boats and the people. The music matched it well. Bert
  7. I like also to see how this is done, is it possible to post it please? Thanks,
  8. Al, First thanks for making a great tutorial, it made me buy PTE and it helps me a lot to understand the possibilities of it. My question is this: [Then you save this text file as "autorun.inf" to the root of your CD.] But how do you do that? If I save a program to CD using Roxio, where do I find the "root" of the CD. Is that the same place where it says "add" the program to be copied? And do I type in "autorun.inf"?
  9. Hi Barry, I Have several of your tutorial CD's, I would be interested in a Sound Editing Tutorial. I agree with Jim and would like to see you use Audacity or Acoustica for your Demo's. Bert
  10. Thank you all for your helpful suggestions, Alan your point about removing the noise first before sharpen is well taken. Barry if I understand you correctly does it mean that you resize the image first to 1024 X 864 as a Tiff, than sharpen and than save them as a JPEG? Also are there some things that are different between a digital projected image and the one you see on the screen? (Darker or lighter, more or less contrast, etc.) Thanks, Bert
  11. Hello, I am new to this forum, I did a search under sharpen, but nothing came up. I like to transfer a slide show that I used to show with 2 projectors and a disolve unit, into a Digital Slide Show. I have a Minolta Dual III film scanner that scan's to 2800DPI. For the best quality projection, is it recommended to scan the +/-150 slides in as high resolution Tiff's and then transform them to JPEG's or scan them in as JPEG's right away? (Timesaver). When I make 9" x 13" prints from my slides I always sharpen them (unsharp mask) before printing, what makes a big difference in appearance. Is this also recommended for Digital Projection? I know I should not make JPEG's if I going to sharpen. Thanks, Bert
