  1. This is an excelent proposal and I am much in favor of it. Bert
  2. Hi Barry, Nice show with great moody shots and perfect disolves and music. Personaly I did not care for the start and finish with a white screen. It ran O.K. on my computer, I use MSE as my virus protection and am happy with it. regards, Bert
  3. Hi Lin, Sorry I found them, did look at the wrong page. Regaards, Bert
  4. Lin, On the site you link to, I can find only 24 of your tutorials. Do I have to download something to find the other four? regards, Bert
  5. Gary, In Faststone, if you go in the jpeg settings, you can set the quality to less than 100%. I set it mostly to 80%. I see no difference in the quality between the two, but have a much smaller file size. Regards, Bert
  6. That was realy exelent, fun to watch and participate. Thanks, Lin Bert
  7. Andrew, Great fun show with outstanding pictures. Bert
  8. Hi Andrew, Nice show with a lot of great shots, you must have been all over the city. The music was a little to monotonous I found. Thanks for showing, Bert
  9. i agree with the Ken, I now have a project and have to go through 200+ images to make them to "cover slide". that is 400+ key strokes, why is there not an easy way to do that for all slides? Bert
  10. Great shots Barry, loved the tempo of the show, its something different for a change. Bert
  11. Maureen, thanks for making this AV, and show us the beautiful light of the place. For me, as somebody said already, some images moved to fast from the screen for a good look at them. The music was a perfect addition to the atmosphere of the show. Bert
  12. Hi Paul, Nice show, I liked your pictures where the people where doing something or where they where part of the environment. The music was a perfect choice. Thanks for showing Bert
  13. Hi Tillman, I was captivated by your show and comment you on your great photography. The music choice was also perfect. I am looking forward to your next show. Thanks for showing. Bert
  14. Nice show of your ride, I photographed a friend from the ground, when she was para-gliding. All the way till she came down to the ground. The instructor with who she was videotaped it when they were in the sky. Your show inspires me, to make a same kind of show for her. I liked also the music you chose for your AV. Thanks for showing, Bert
  15. Hi Jeff I only looked at your "..Fall 2007" show so far. Great scenic pictures nice organized and the music fits perfectly. The comments I would make are, keep everything in the horizontal format. The couple of pictures you had as verticals disrupt the flow of the show with the big black areas on each side of the image. Also for me, there are too many pictures of your dog as the main subject, your dog as part of the landscape looks fine. Just my thoughts Bert
  16. Maureen Great show with wonderful pictures and music. My only "small" critic is that I would have liked some of the images longer on the screen to observe them better. Thanks for showing this nice part of the world. Bert
  17. Eric, I liked your show, the quality of your pictures and the chosen music. The format however does not do justice to your show on a 16:10 monitor. Bert
  18. Hi Dave, What I ment was when I have my screen set to 1680x1050 it filled the screen (no distotion), set to 1024x768 the show was stretched out (distorted) to the width of the screen but on the top and bottom were black lines. I played the show ond an older computer and 3x4 Monitor. It filled the width of the screen and showed no distortion, only black bands on the top and bottem. The computer could not keep up with the shows dissolves. The show was made with PTE6.5, when I played an older show made with PTE5 and 1024x768 images, the older computer it could handle those. Thanks for your sugestions. Bert
  19. Thanks for all your sugestions, I can not try the show on the laptop at 1024x768 at home. It is my wife's and when I used it to play the show on the TV a few days ago and tried different screen resolutions, all her icons on the desktop changed position, and she was not a happy camper . I tried the show on my PC at 1024x768, but it looks stretched out horizontaly. The native solution of my screen is 1680x1050 and when I have that set it fills the screen. Barry's comment was assuring and I am confident that the club where I present knows there stuf. I was told that they project there digital competition images as 1024x768. Regards, Bert
  20. Ken and Dave, Thanks for your response, unfortunate I can not get access to the projector OR the computer that is going to be used. But it is good to know that the computer has to be set to 1024X768 . I will bring my show only on a USB stick. Bert
  21. Thanks everybody for your quick replies. Turning off the screen of the laptop was the solution. I could not find "Control Panel > Display and choosing the TV only", but as mentioned by cjdnci, fn and f8 did the trick. In 2 weeks I have to present the same show with a club digital projector (1024x768), does anybody know if I can show a 1920x1200 show with this projector and do I have to turn the laptop srceen off for projection also? Thanks, Bert
  22. Hi, I have read somewhere on this forum, that you can watch your 1920x1200 EXE show on a HD TV, by connecting your laptop computer to the TV. I have done that and the show looks good. The only thing is that even if the show is made 1920x1200, on my TV it does not fill the screen. I had expected black bars on the side because the show is not 1920x1080 (16:9) as my TV is, but is (16:10). But I would expect the height to be full covered on the TV. The picture I get on the TV is avbout 2/3 to 3/4 of the full srceen, with black bars on all sides. Is this because the laptop's screen solution is max 1360x768? (I had set it for 1280X800 what is 16:10). What do I have to do to get my screen filled (except for the black side bars) on my HD TV. Thanks, Bert
  23. PTE is a difficult program to learn, in my camera club I am the only one using it. Some other people tried it and went with Pro Show. If it was not for Barry's tutorials I would still be struggling more and had probably changed to another program also. I think Barry provides a service to the PTE community and the promotion of his product on the forum seems very much understated to me. Bert
  24. Igor, I want to create a "high quality MP4 video file (H264)" in 1920 x 1200 (16:10) format. There is no preset in PTE for this size at the moment. I know I can set the size in "custom" but the presets give much better results I found. The presets are currently only for SD (800x600), SD (1024x768), HD (1280x720, HD (1280x960) and HD (1920x1080). Can you please make a preset for 1920x1200 (16:10). Thanks, Bert
  25. Igor, Some months ago I noticed if when making a HD Video for PC and Mac, the presets worked much better and faster than when I did my own parameters. I asked if you could make a preset also for HD 1920 x 1200 format. Can you please still ad that to PTE Deluxe 7. Thanks, Bert
