  1. Found it Here it is! http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...T&f=2&t=228&hl=
  2. I like to use gifs for my titles. And now with the additon of Transparentency Gif added to PTE 4.0 makes it that much easier. If you make your Gif title with a transparent background and place it with the object editor. I think it gives it a very nice look for titles. If it does not have a transparent background you can go to the properties in PTE of the Gif you added and tell it to make the background transparent. The bad thing about using the Text box for your titles. Is you might pick a font that you have on your computer and who ever is viewing your show may not have it on theirs. So when they view your show they will see the default font. And it will not look like you had intended. If you use the text box for titles I recommend use a standerd font. cc
  3. I can see where the expiration date would be useful if you are using a show for a price list. You would not want people looking at old prices. Or, when I am not done with a show I will put an expiration date on it so people can view it and give me feed back. And I know they will need to come back for the final copy after the date I have entered. cc
  4. I just uploaded my changes to Freeze Frame. I took the expiration date off. And made a few changes to the timing. I am not sure when Bill will have time to change it. Thanks for your intrest in my show. PS to Harold You are Right my niece did enjoy the her show. It is always nice when the one I make a show for, enjoys it as much as I hoped they would. chuck
  5. Thank you both for your comments. I did have the slideshow set to expire on 3-15-03 But I had some requests from visitors to beechrook to have the expiration date changed. I did change it to 7-1-03 I would like to do some more work with it in PTE 4.0 there are a few areas I would like to adjust the timing a little more. And PTE 4.0 will help in making these changes a little easier. When I get the changes made I will upload the latest version. (Without an expiration date) chuck
  6. I was getting "page not found" a few days ago. But it's working for me now. cc
  7. This worked fine for me until the new beta's But now It will not find my objects that I have placed on slides. It will not even let me try and place them again. I have to delete the slide and start a new one. Or I have to make the DIR that PTE is looking for and place the pictures there. Has anyone else had this problem? cc
  8. RudiRe changed the graphic for me, And now it looks OK on a Dark Background. He must have done what you are talking about. Thank you for the information. I still wonder why my orginal Graphic would not allow me to turn off the transparent background? I would have been happy with it if I could have just turned off the option. But it would not allow me to do so. But is is working now and all is well Thanks again for the help cc
  9. Thank you, That has taken care of my Problem The Gif now works. cc
  10. I have tried to change the background color and still will not work. Does anybody have any Idea why? I know in the first beta of 4.0 it said that they had "> Added support for transparent GIF pictures (as objects of slide);" This is why I keep bringing this up. cc
  11. Also I can not open a Template that I have created with an older version of PTE that has objects in the slides. The new beta's will not find the objects. It tells me that Example Picture not found (object #0 of Slide #50) I don't think it is looking in the Template Dir first for the file. The file is there. I thought that the older versions would look in the folder that you were opening the show.PTE file in. But it does not seam to be working in the new beta's. It does find the Slides. It is looking for the objects in the old Dir. And I have moved them to a CD. thanks cc
  12. I am still having trouble when I am adding a GIF with the object editor. I have two gifs links here, if you try and add the first one it works fine. If I try and add the second one it has the option for Transparent background checked and I can not uncheck it and leave it that way. If I uncheck it it looks fine. But, when I click the OK to close the object editor. And I go back into the Object editor it is still check. This second GIF does not look good with the Transparent BackGround. This Gif's worked fine in 3.8. I like the Transparent Background option. But not with this graphic. http://216.43.119.72/photos/Relay_1.gif http://216.43.119.72/photos/Relay_2.gif thanks cc
  13. You could make more then one slide show. One you have the seclections of your different shows. You would set the action to Run application when you click on it. And the different shows you could have sync'ed to the music of your choice. This works nice we have seen different shows made this way I think HVK use this option. And there was a Wedding made be Ray. I am not sure of Names it has been a while. Only draw back is having more then one file. cc
  14. I think the file you are looking for can be found here on the bottom of the third page. http://beechbrook.com/pte cc
  15. Thank you so much for the information. I have not yet bought a memory stick but I can see this will be in my future. I guess its about time I install the software and start looking the Clie over a little better. I did not really think I would find any good uses for it when I got it. But, it Looks better already. Thanks Chuck
  16. I should have said this is when I am adding the gif with the object editor... I have some Gif's that I can change this setting if I want. Then I have others that I can not. It is checked to show transparent background and I can not uncheck it. And the Gif looks very bad with a transparent background. cc
  17. LumenLux, I had trouble with my new Sony computer and Sony gave me a Sony Clie PEG-SL10 for my trouble. It is the the Black and White screen but it was still free. I had no idea what all I can do with this. I have not really even read the book yet. But, when you said you use yours to show pictures it looking like I might find some uses for it after all. I was wondering what else you have found usefull with you Clie. And what else I might look into. I was wondering if there is any freeware that you know of that is usefull. Thanks for any information. cc
  18. Trouble with my Templates, and the check box for Transparant Gifs. 1. I have tried to open a show in Beta 4 that I have saved as a template in earlier versions. It is having trouble opening all of them. I am opining the show.pte file inside the Dir where all the images are saved and it will not find all of them. Mostly ones that I have placed with the object editor. 2. When I open some gif files it will have the check box to show the image with transparent backgrond and I can not uncheck this option. It does not do this with all of the gifs just some of them. ? ? Is anyone else having these problems? cc
  19. Do you have the show sync. I think this will cause the buttons to not work. I think there are some other things that will make it not work too. But I can not remember what they are right now. I am sure someone else will bring them up. cc
  20. It has been moved to the Poject Options under them Comments tab. You will have a check box there. cc
  21. I agree this is the problem. I had the same trouble. I selected this option and then I took the comments out of the slides I did not want them to show up on. Title Pages as an example. As I was finishing up my show and went back into the project options to select my icon. it would also add comments back on my title pages. I think that Igor should change the check box to a button to click on like the "clear all slides" button. If you check the box you have to ok the project options then to back into it so you can uncheck the option so it will not add comments to all your slides everytime you ok another project option. cc
  22. I do it the hard way. I use a Freeware Program called Text Effects. I then save what I creat as a BMP. Then I use another Free Program and convert it to a gif. then I use the Object Editor and place the gif on the screen. and in the Properities. I check to make it have a transparent background. It sounds like a lot of work but it goes quickly and I like the effect I get with it. here is a sample. http://216.43.119.72/Text_effect.jpg cc
  23. Sorry, I guess I had never tried it. I thought I was able to. I guess I had never tried both at the same time. Sorry for the bad information. cc
  24. If I understand your question you already have this option. In the Project Options the Main tab check the box "synchronize slideshow to music duration" then check the next box "Display slides in random order" hope this helps cc
  25. Sorry Ken I had missed your post in Dec. (must have been a busy month ) cc
