I would like to be able to save my custom MP4 Presets I don't use the default Output settings every time. Example:.... I want my video to be 1440x900 at Quality 85% and the audio Bit rate 128 I may also create a smaller file for someone to preview Example would be 360x225 at 60% and audio Bit rate 128 These are just an example. anyway I would like to be able to save these settings so I don't have to adjust each time. It has a drop down box with about 8 presets I would just like to save my own custom settings to the list. Then I could just use the drop down box and select a name I saved for my Custom settings. Right now after I create "Publish" a file in the Mobile Video output and go and start another output. the settings change from 1440 x 900 quality 85% Bit rate 128 to 1440 x 0 quality 0% Bit rate 1000 ? It does not even keep my last output settings? (Not sure why) Thanks Chuck ​

Thanks Ken but the Template is not what I am looking for. I do have my own template saved and set as my Default. It is just the Output file I want to change settings on. Am I missing a way to save my Custom Output settings. I would like to Name and Save my own Custom Settings so I Dont have to change the setting every time I create a show. I tried to search but could not find this topic. Thanks Chuck

Thanks, davegee This helped me! I have been a long time user of PTE I could get all my old versions to load I just could not get any of 8.XX to load. I uninstalled it and now it is working again. I assumed it was the project it was trying to load. I could not find any way to start the program without loading the last project. Now that it is working I unchecked load last saved project. If this would happen again I will know the project will not be causing the issue. Thanks Chuck

I would like to be able to play a slieshow before an event with a count down timer running in the corner showing how much longer until the end of the slideshow. (Start of the event.) mm:ss This would allow people to know they need to start sitting down. I know this would not be ideal for most slideshow But think It would be usefull.

Thanks, I did very little testing with the beta's of 5.0 So now it is all new. And a lot different.

I use orginal Mode on most of my slides and not fit to slide mode. Is there a way for me to make this change without going through each slide. thanks

I agree keyboard controls are nice. And most of my projects do not have the Navigation Bar on. Because it is not needed for a slideshow. But when I am sending a projects to clients that needs the Control of the show. It would be nice if they could control the Vol too. I am sure that a lot of people will look at the file that knows very little about the computer. And they would have no idea a key could control the vol too. When we do use the Navigation Bar, a Vol option would be a good option to add to it.

Could you add options to add Vol Up and Down. So we could add the option for viewer to turn up or down the Volume on the computer while viewing.

I would like to be able to open a spread sheet layout that list all images and setting so we could quickly go through and make changes to values

Glad it was of help. I think this is one option that many overlook when they start using PTE.

Also for new projects. Every time I create a slideshow I just want Fade I want it to end with the last slide. I want it to start with a blank slide. ect ect ect..... So I made a slideshow that has all of these things. and I saved it as a template Go into manage templates and set it for the default for new projects with the check box. So when I start a new show all of my setting are how I want them.

If you put your show.pte file in the Dir with your pictures and open it. PTE will find the pictures. PTE looks in the Dir that the show.pte file is in first.

I had trouble with this too. I had the same image resized with the same name in different DIR. I used a small, larger and a big version of the same picture. When I was done with the slide show I created a template. Six months later, when I went back to make a few changes to the show I noticed I only had one version of the picture in my template DIR. I now use the file size in the name (as a workaround) if I use the same picture more then once. cc

If you are not wanting a custom syncronized show You can also check the top left hand corner of the timeline and make sure Automatic is selected. This way if you add a slide or take some away your show will automatic sync to the number of slides you have.

Your action on mouse click should be (Run application or open file......) Then you need to point to the file name. Example here is "Baby-face_party_2.exe" after you have the slideshow picked. You will need to take out the drive letter. It might look something like this. "D:/Baby-face_party_2.exe" It will work on your computer like this. But not all computer will have the CD as the same drive letter. But, if you take the drive letter out it should work. In my example here I made a picture be the link to the slideshow. if you place a picture with the object editor You can right click on the picture and go to properties to get this screen.

If I create a show with 4.30 it detects the file as a virus.

My AVG just hit 42 files of mine. All were created about one year ago Not sure the PTE Version AVG program 7.0.344 Virus Base 267.11.13/123 Release date 10/6/2005 5:15pm

Once you have created the EXE you can not change the date of that EXE's show. To change this date you will need to recreate the EXE. If you saved the project you can just open it up again in PTE change the date. Then recreate the EXE. cc

In Photoshop you can also create a PDF Presentation You can password protect it, disable the print option. And a Mac can view a PDF file. You can have it flip through the pictures. It is not a slideshow But it is a way to view on the Mac. This option is in the automate.
