  1. And if you made it on a CD it would have been a VCD and the quality of that is lower then the DVD. If you make it again make sure you use a DVD it will look better then a VCD. I know for me it was a big difference. But is still is not as nice as the EXE
  2. I have seen this Error on one show I did. I was only playing with the video output and I was not wanting to create anything. So I never looked into why it was doing it. I don't remember what Video it was. I looked for a while but can not find it. So you are not alone. I just don't know how it happened? and I can't recreate it either. cc
  3. When you are moving an object around you can see the X, Y position at the top. I would like to be able to click on a picture and type in that X, and Y position and your picture move to that position. 1) Font style stay with the exe when played on different computers. 2) X,Y position entering 3) Seeing the thumbnail marked that it has objects added. 4) When we check a slide not to show image I think it would be nice too if this thumbnail went black. 5) A check box for a Grid just like Safe TV Zone. Image snap to the grid. And Grid is adjustable. We enter the size. 6) rotate object. 7) I would like to be able to change the order of the objects. If I have two or more objects the first one is always behind the second image. I would like to be able to right click and move back or Fwd the object. So a different one is in front of the other. ________ 8) When I select a preview size (Top Left) I wish it would keep that selection. Each time I go back I have to reselect the size.
  4. You do have this option now. When you go to Manage Templates you can set the DIR at the top. when you click OK. It will copy all of your files to this folder. I just wish PTE would remember this when we update to a new version. the folder we already picked needs to be set again if you update to a new version. cc
  5. One way to do this is map the directory you are wanting to work with. If you open Windows Explorer. (Not Internet explore) then click tools at the top you can Map network Directory.... and give the Dir a drive letter You can have it reconnect when you restart your computer. You can also Disconnect anytime you want. You can pick a drive letter and pick the Dir you want to map. I have all my pictures on one computer. I have this Dir mapped as Drive P: (For Pictures) on all three of my computes. So when I sit down and open Photoshop I know all of my pictures are in Drive P: I click on open Drive P: and then I am looking for the folder with the pictures I want to edit. I am sure this same option will work for you if you put all of your files within the same Drive And Map it with the same drive letter on each computer cc
  6. If you have the music sync to the show it will be hiden too. Unless you check the box "premit the control of show".
  7. Granot, This might be the post you are looking for! http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...&f=2&t=1393&hl=
  8. One of the main reasons the DVD looks so different. Is when you create the EXE file you are using your screen (1024x768) The DVD is (720x480). So your pictures for the DVD are reduced for the Video. Then if you view the DVD on your computer and tell it to show it full screen. It will blow up the DVD video at (720x480) to fit your screen (1024x768) and it looks very Bad. If you play it on your home DVD player and watch it on the TV. The 720x480 will fill your TV screen and looks better then it did on your Computer. It still will not look at well as the EXE file. The EXE file looks so much better and is normally a lot smaller of a file then the DVD. The DVD is just a nice option to have so people who do not have a computer but do have a DVD player. can still watch the Show.
  9. Sometimes it could be the media disk itself. Have you changed brands. I know that they record the same way. But sometimes players will have trouble reading some brands. Just another thought. cc
  10. I don't use screensavers. But In Windows XP, if I just change the extension from exe to scr I am able to set the slideshow as a screensaver. After I change the extension I right clicked on the file and click install. Maybe this will help you. cc
  11. Sorry Linda, This option has no effect on the DVD. Just on the exe file. cc
  12. Igor said he might look into exporting to flash in this thread. http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...&f=2&t=2684&hl= If a Mac is able to view these it would be an added bonus. cc
  13. The file you should be wanting to run should be an EXE [autorun] open=name.exe You should avoid using spaces in your file name. as this may cause problems. cc
  14. Here is the link. If anyone wants to look at more information.. http://www.picasa.com/ Google also have a new map page. I think it works very quick. You just click your mouse and drag it around you can zoom all the way in to street level. http://maps.google.com/
  15. Al, I have been using it off and on for about 4 months. I think it is very quick to view my pictures. It's nice to open one program and scroll through all my pictures. It has a nice slider bar like PTE so I can make my thumbnails larger or smaller. What I don't like about it, is it only does the files on your HardDrive. I hope they add the ability to do CD's collections too, in future release. cc
  16. Bethan, This may not be what you are looking for. But if you right click when you are viewing your music files at the Add dialogue. you may be able to click play and hear the songs. I know this is not what you are asking for. But, it does help me when I am looking for a song. cc
  17. Hello Cindy, I am not sure how ULead Movie Factory 3 works. I have never used it. But, If you have the option to create the files and keep them on the Hard Drive. Then you can burn all the files you need at one time. I use Pinnacle Studio Version 8. I am able to tell it to create the Disk content but do not burn the DVD. It puts all the files in one DIR that I burn to a DVD when I am done. So when I Burn the files to DVD I can also add other files I want to it at the same time. I like to create my DVD this way Because if I have any trouble I just Delete it start over. Once I have it complete. I Burn it to the DVD. I posted this a while back telling how I work with Studio 8 It may not help you with your program. You could Copy the Disk Content back to your HD. Then Burn all the files and the new ones you need back to a new DVD. If you are able to use RW nothing will be lost. Just another Idea. cc
  18. Ed, Al tells about a work around for this problem in this post. Hope it helps you. cc http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...t=ST&f=2&t=2832
  19. Nicely done Guido, Thanks for your hard work. I am sure your site will be useful for many users of PTE cc
  20. You also need to put the show.pte file in this folder too. Then when you want to work on your show just open it. PTE will look for all your pictures first in the Dir your .pte file is in. cc
  21. I just find an easier way to move the slide. Once you add the picture to the end of your list. Then go to the timeline. click on the new transation point and change the sync time at the bottom. This will move the picture back to the area you want it in the slideshow. cc
  22. The way I was able to add a new transition and picture in a already sync show: I added the picture to the end of my show. Then I went to the timeline and dragged the new point Back where I wanted it. This works well for me once I was use to the new format. cc
  23. I have XP Home with SP-2 Everything is working well for me also.
  24. I am already starting to like the way the transitions are connected to the Pictures. I just need more time to play with all the new toys added. Also the cancel works correct for me, restores all changes when leaving the timeline. cc
  25. When Deleting Do we have a choice? a. Delete Transition point. (Shifts points to next slide Like it use to) b. Delete Slide and transition point.
